Also I think when starting out the value of your overall account affects your confidence and causes hesitation. Like if you started with $10K and you had enough good trades that you are in the green you think I can lose back to $10K and I'm not really out anything. It's harder to have the confidence and take any risk once your account is less than the $10K and you are in the red.
These R multiples is what makes gamblers, waiting for the market to rally. Making .5 cents to .20 is more consistent. It will make for a more consistent and profitable trader.
Hey Umar is one hell of an options trader and he’s transparent. One of the best scalpers/ options trader I know. Yes I agree with a lot of people here I like spx better too because a .40 cent con and easily turn into a 300%Plus gain. If I can trade spy like Umar I would.
If you don't have an edge then you'll just be a disciplined loser. Having an edge will boost your psychology and without an edge you will keep losing even if you're the master of your own emotions.
How do you enter a trade so quickly? Do you just do a market buy or limit based on some indicator? I find that when I try to enter on a limit order sometimes I miss the run up or down because it doesn’t get filled. Any strategy you can share is appreciated.
I started in Forex and was profitable by 7 months, then US traders got banned from CFD’s. But I was a swing trader and would hold trades overnight, which was my bread and butter. But now I gotta adapt to scalping in the Futures market.

Thanks Umar I needed to hear this..I ended up blowing my account because I had 4 wins in a row, I associated my new trades with the previous ones and thought my strategy is perfect, I over risked. The trade went in my favor and then came back to even, I doubled down, only to find the market going in opposite direction, got scared and moved my stop losses. I BLEW MY ACCOUNT. But hey there's a lesson learned there.
First of all thank you Umar for this really great piece of information Problems which I am facing currently in my trading is FOMO which results in overtrading
i feel like crypto is easier than forex. forex has a lot of big players and banks involved, they protect their positions and often manipulate the price. for me, tape reading turns it easier to know what is happening and the direction of the market rather than using only price action when trading forex. so far im sticking with crypto, higher volatility and easier to make money with the pullbacks.
