i think the most important part to improve on would be his second pair choice on solve 1, the way he did it he did set up a 3 mover yes but i’d rather see him rotate to solve the pair in back so that way he can then spam tps on last two pairs because they’re oriented. Main idea is make decision based off majority edge count (whether that be oriented or misoriented)
It would have been A perm, E perm, or H perm. I don't think he would have been able to see the fact one of the corners would solve that quickly... at least I hope not
The solved corner is direct opposite color to the 2 edge, so it's either A perm or H perm, either way hes gonna do it faster than doing sune then having to pause to see the pll case @@WangYiheng347
@@WangYiheng347given the fact that he used lefty sune instead of lefty niklas on first solve, its evident that he did lefty niklas on purpose and he does recognize cp (which easily cuts away the e perm option), im certain he was at least aware that the choice would bring a better pll
@@WangYiheng347Btw if you can see where the opposite colored corner stickers on top are (top left and down left in this case) it just eliminates H and E perms immediately if you think about it
@@thephysicistcuber175 when I asked Kian about zz eo he said it could be useful as an extension to use in cfop when it's reasonably easy.seems to me that's what Dilly milly is also proposing. Conclusion- Kian rhymes with neon
10:47 I think he saw the pair and while solving it he realised it was gonna be a dot but he didn't really react in time so he undid those moves, did the sledge and continued the solve
20:31 my thinking was it looks somewhat similar to the niklas zb with the blocks, but not really at all once you do the U2 AUF. Probs just thought take a chance cuz he can to it fast and worst case he gets a PLL after
@@BrinaSun the old one is just prone to lockups more on the R' U2 R from my experience but when done well its totally fine, like I said to each their own you can use it. There's multiple viable options but I just like the newer one, as does Tymon and multiple other top solvers so
How worth it do you think it is to force EOCross every time? Or do you think just having it in the back of your head whilst doing CFOP is "optimal"? Also, it's intriguing that solving 2 back pairs or 2 left pairs first is kinda Petrus-esque, then all this EO stuff is ZZ-esque, giving this hybrid thing called top level CFOP. Roux however is just completely separate doing its own thing. Great video!
it’s worth trying to prioritize getting oriented edges once you finish cross, of course there’s a lot of nuance to that and it’s extremely situational but it’s something to keep in mine definitely
13:55 i think doing U2’ L’ U L2 U’ L’ is better as it leads in to a free pair I guess the problem is the remaining FR slot but EO is easy with that pair in last slot
yea you dont do this because it makes it hard to deal with the front right slot, when i was watching this back I was annoyed I forgot to talk about that continuation
I think lockups or the lack of lockups i.e.., accurate, smooth turning sets him apart from many of the top cuber's and is a huge advantage. There was also video a while back of him learning ZBLL. Do you think he will implement this into his solving or has he dumped ZBLL, would it improve his times? Nice breakdown 👍
no hate, but you’re nowhere near as efficient as yiheng, looking at the reco.nz database stats hes the second most efficient in terms of f2l move count.
