This series is becoming something akin to a weekly ongoing Anime series for me; its so good, I just can't wait for more. Would probably binge re-watch at some point 🤣
Thank you very much for making these. I’ve practiced the framing around 2 weeks, i (think, probably) made my photos better. Will go to the next one once i got this in my head 🎉❤
Hi Pat, I like the ideas you are putting forth in this visual patterns series. I had a question regarding the idea of negative space - When does negative space not look good in a photograph? Not all photographs have a lot of negative space, so could you please give us some examples of when negative space spoils the photograph?
Stumbled across your photographs few years back , have absolutely been amazed by them since , now to learn the process behind them is eye opening , thank you for this !
Another gem, Pat. Your explanation of each concept is so clear and logical. You don’t just give a definition. By also explaining why you would include a particular pattern and the meaning you’re trying to convey to the viewer makes these videos especially useful.
Thank you for sharing your insight and thought processes in a very non RU-vid ("wazzup from your boy") style. One day I'd love attending one of your and your fellow Sydneysider Matt Horspool's workshops. Cheers from Brisbane
Thanks for the video Pat! How did you coordinate with your subject to be so far away? Did you simply tell your friend to hike ahead while you prepped for the shot?
its either i tell my friends where to stand, or it's just timing! as you get better at predicting where people will go (shoot a lot of street photography), it gets ALOT easier
hey Pat thanks for the video ! What do you think about a completely blue skie with no clouds as a negative space ? Is it too boring and would require a sky replacement?
