Yes. The epic Led Poisoning. 3-16-73. I'll be listening to Led Poisoning tonight. Dankeschoen. LedHed Pb 207.20 🎶 🎸 🎹 P.S. I forgot to tell you, I was at this and all the Deutscher shows. The ‘Paganini of electric guitar’ comes to the city of art…for all to witness! And what a spectacle it must’ve been. I’ve been aware of and have loved this show for about 30 years now. Lead Poisoning, I believe is the title of the vinyl set I got all those years ago. The way the boomy bass triggers in atop Bonzo’s intro is simply like going from zero to 200mph in a split second. Total whiplash! This month long tour saw the technicians at the height of its technical abilities. No sluggish energies here and we should ALL be very thankful someone had the intestinal fortitude to sneak a tape recorder into the hall tonight and walked away with this historical document.

You're damn right about the Paganini of Electric Guitar, more like Page-anini? hehe. The technicians yes, did a fantastic job with the sound. The taper is on Mike Millard's level of concert hall of fame!

What a show. Thanks so much for presenting it to us like this. So many treasures here one after the other. Even though Plant couldn't reach all the notes, he had some great moments at the end of SIBLY (Jimmy excellent here too) and STH. JPJ's tummy troubles didn't effect his performance and I loved his mellotron work here. I will try not to gush about my forever MVP...but BONZO😍...sigh. His bass drum was *singing* in OTHAFA, I loved the way he just exploded at the end of The Rain Song and then the magnificent DAC. I need a rest in a dark room! Off topic, Jose, but I always get a load of LZ recommended videos when I open youtube and this one came up recently. You may have already been told about it, but its first few seconds appears to have some of your opening credits-was permission given or was it 'stolen'? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l_liLQ81pNw.htmlsi=8AX0Q-_S2lOz36CP

Hi Elle! Thanks for watching first of all! As fof the video you shared i was surprised to see my intro for Vienna 1973. Guess we can call that a bootleg? Haha. I suspect this and other channels are A.I generated. If you watch this one they feature Jason Bonham who did not play with Zeppelin until after 1980. This gives away the lack of attention to detail. Fighting these things is tricky as it unfortunately gives these people what thet want...attention. So i will take is as a flattering form of imitation. A sign of one's work being noticed. I will keep producing these episodes and envision positive results :)

Robert's reckless vocal style, no care for tech skill, killed his higher ranges and he often struggled to maintain a melodic flow within the bands' musical efforts. Robert thought he could scream and hit those high "strangled cat" vocals forever - but instead he severely damaged his vocal chords. He sang more technically as he matured into his career.

I've always wondered if Robert's diologue between songs was improvised or if he had put some thought into what he was going to say before each show. If it was improvised on the spot, I'd say that he has an amazing mind.

Richard great question. This was improvised i can tell you by comparing his Plantations at other shows. Robert's mind is Very very quick, he truly has the gift of communication thus why he Knows so much music and can borrow early blues sources instantly.

Vienna is certainly a must-own bootleg not just for Zepp fans but Rock fans in general. You know, it's harder to analyze the Stones' boots cause they rarely deviate from the form...and one would think they did...not really. Zepp on the other hand, you feel the humanity and musicianship!

I think his "fall" was more reinventing himself you know? Not being a fanboy but i just think he made the right move in changing his sound thus 1973 is extra special. In a world of guitarists sticking to the same sound or over indulging in it (Steve Vai i can see you), Page moved on!

So interesting to hear Robert refer to Dazed and Confused as "an old one". The song was only 4 years old at the time. I'm sure over time Zeppelin's music has come to mean something else to the members these days, but to these guys in 1973, it's just "that old thing" they did a few years ago. No wonder Robert doesn't want to reform Zeppelin if that's how it feels for him. Wild.
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories 3 месяца назад
I think the sense of being an old song is because of how things changed by 1973, Vietnam was over, the economy was starting to nose dive past Nixon's brilliant idea to devaluate the U.S Dollar, 1969 certainly seemed like wishful thinking by 1973. Robert has been wise in not reforming Zepp, i think the last thing he wants is to Don Henley himself, but again, when was Don Henley cool like Plant? Never hahah.

Hi Jose, I hope you will make a video of the changes of Robert s voice. 1) The change in 1973: I think by then his sound was the best. 2) In 1975 is was not good, on the high level. 3) In 1976, 77 it was better. 4) The greatest change is after 1977 and the recording of Presence. His voice on In through the outdoor, was not as good we are used to. I saw them during the 1980 tour, that was really different compare to TSRTS, for me that was the peak of his voice, although in that year was a lot of change of his voice.

You mentioned that Robert had lost some of is vocals and had to rephrase? Watching ALL YOUR VIDEOS I thought so as well but listening to Page and Plant live in 96 that his voice sounded fantastic and his phrasing sounded great almost as if he was in his prime. Obviously, there were a lot more vocal aids, computers, different affects, but he sounded amazing. Just a reminder, I am your loyal Sunday, viewer and listener. Have the best day. Look forward to more stuff!

By 1996 Robert Plant was a different singer who actually took care of his voice since 1981. I don't know how much "computer" aid there was outside of compressors and delay units, but what is noticeable is that he sings from a very different place. Also being the Boss of his business by the 90s....really helps i guess? Hehe. Thank you very much for tuning in, i appreciate it and hope it makes your day better!
