I've heard so many professionals claim Mums may or may not come back the next year. Most say they're not very hardy but I can attest to how hardy they are in zone 6. I have Mums that come back every year and they're huge and glorious. They're virtually carefree next to a lot of my other perennials.
Hi Dave, H-E-L-P. Year after year...I cannot get my mums to grow in the dome shape. I've pinched them 2 or 3 times before the July deadline. I've fertilized with the 20-10-20 fertilizer as they are growing and still tall and skinny instead of tall and "wide" (one plug per 9-inch pot)
