I can remember reading Frederick Forsyth's book "Fist of God' where he used a scene from Saddam's Palace at Sarsang. Three days later I was at Sarsang and he got it so right, even down to the Gold leaf toilet seats in the Palace! We knew he hadn't been there, we were the only foreigners in the region at the time, but it felt like he had been there!
