this might have started out as documentary about Vogue under Anna0s leadership but what it really showed was Grace Coddington was the true gem and artistic drive and heart in Vogue. she's beyond amazing.
@Imane Mourady I think he's always been talented though. He became fashion director at i-D when he was 18 and did that for a while. Historically the Vogues are a bigger and more mass luxury type brands and are backed by culturally traditional executive boards and so it wasn't really until recently when white privilege became under scrutiny that a black man could be considered as editor in chief for a Vogue brand
I think people call the Ice Queen or whatever because she knows what she wants and can make decisions. If she was a man no one would be calling her that.
@@osjuchavawords like “ice woman”, still… actually expecting the stereotype that woman has to be “congenial” Maybe man should learn how to smile these days, i dunno 🤗
"there's always a way to wear fur; personally I having on my back" and theme the look that Grace Coddington throws at her when she's saying that. 😂😂😂😂😂
I remember, before the internet was everything, I loved American Vogue. I'm in Australia and I never enjoyed our local one. It didn't have such amazing photography and models, articles etc. It was damn expensive for a teenager still in school. Amazing how the world has changed just in my lifetime.
1:02 ...and that is mainly the attitude of some people who can afford it or even work in the industry. Not to say that there are not arrogant people in all kinds of peer groups, but mainly, if they make others nervous (or their main interest does), it is due to their behavior not some attitude of people outside their interests.
Fashion is all about wearing clothes that accentuate the positives and that you feel confident and fabulous in. If wearing a pair of J Brand jeans makes you feel good, awesome! If wearing a pair of great-fitting jeans you found on the clearance rack at Target - more power to you! Some people choose to wear articles of clothing only because they're the next "in" thing or because of the designer's name, and they look like crap.
This comment is so old but yeah, she always on time. Fashion shows (at least the one in Paris) usually start pass the time scheduled because they wait for the invited guests to arrive before start the show, apparently Anna said something about this and all fashion show start their event on time whether their guests arrive or not. Some even more strict, for example Channel would close their gate once the show started that even you're invited you cannot go in if you're late.
00:12 Someone's very much enclosed in her own world there. How about: not everybody has the same hobby or even the same income and some people either cannot afford high fashion or are genuinely disinterested because to them, other things are important that maybe are not as important for Ms Wintour?
Maybe don’t cry about the salt in your wound because it wasn’t put there by anyone but you. She’s talking about how people stereotype people who have an interest in fashion as ‘dumb’. You’re the perfect example of the type of person she was talking about, you can’t even get 15 seconds into the video and you’re already pressed.
Yes, why do people who don't "get fashion" or are always dogging it always have something to say about it? Or always seem to be the ones watching all the same videos those of us who are "into" fashion watch So I guess those people who are always dogging fashion (esp Haute Couture shows/clothes) get up everyday, eat & go out into the world naked? If you hate the industry so much don't support it by wearing clothes, shoes, jewelry & other accessories... Don't watching these videos if you hate it
People are afraid of the different bc they dont understand it,and think they do wherever there is change there is innertion ,if you develop a taste of what do you wanna wear and you can afford the clothes i dont see why not?
Why are most of these fashion people so homely and raggedy looking? I mean, comb your hair, slap some makeup on...geez! Another thing, it's odd how somebody would spend so much money to look like a hobo.
They have important jobs and need to be taken seriously, as well as the fact that they work in fashion and probably don’t care about keeping up with trends that other people like and just wear what they like. You’re kind of the exact person she was talking about in the first 10 seconds of the video…
