Not really. Rule states in the death note that any owner has misfortune to no end and him owning it then selling it caused his death. He didn’t read the rules through
@@Rck-vert Yes, but that is his job as shinigami king. Any owner of the death note cannot have anything but misfortune, that is a pre written rule. And when he noticed what he was doing, he knew that was against the rules so he added it. Again, he didn’t see thru it

You do realize that we NEED to change and make updates to certain laws because new problems arise when people abuse the law and try to take advantage of the system. That's how monopolies are created. That's how corruption starts. Dictators and fascist regimes are made by exploiting the system's loopholes and faults, and then rising to power though that same system.
I remember reading this. The MC was really smart, he avoided using the death note and even acknowledged modern-day surveillance technology, so he used Ryuk's invisibility and ability to levitate in order to move the death note around.
He was dumb as dumb. He asked Trump to transfer 1 billion dollars to everyone who have bank account on a certain bank and if you think that is smart remember if everyone gets 1 billion dollars then the price will also rise resulting Japan economy to crash. (I can't remember word when price go up)
@@Luffy-fo1jt I'm pretty sure it isn't a billion dollars for every single person. That just isn't possible for the U.S. government. Are you mistaking Yen for USD? The word you're looking for is inflation, but it probably isn't that big of a concern. Assuming that its 1 billion in yen for every account holder with that bank (6.8 million USD), it'd only be around 20 billion USD total if the bank had 3,000 accounts. $20 billion isn't a whole lot for a country's economy--especially when single individuals like Elon Musk have access to $200 billion.
@@Luffy-fo1jt that's smart actually and that amount of money won't even enough for japan's economy to go down. And we can't assume that everyone in japan's has a bank account. Death note writing just sucks, it's enjoyable first but after L died it just sucks.

The Shinigami King didn't intend to kill Minaro, that's why he warned Ryuk. Ryuk was meant to warn Minaro about it (he would only die if he took the trade money) but Minaro told Ryuk to never talk to him again, so Minaro spelt his own death.

Dude, they exist to kill humans so they live longer, there is even a rule against simps which doesn't allow you to interfere to a human's death. Obviously using their tool to make some humans live better (as getting cash) isn't what their life is about.
@@pradness There is a massive difference your ignoring however. Minaru didn't use the death note to kill anyone. He only sold it and there was no real way to track him since he never killed with it. Also he never wanted to be found or had a contest of wits with someone and just wanted to remain hidden and had nothing to prove. Then the biggest one is that noone at all knew about him having the death note so there was noone he needed to protect, pick up after, or worry about but Light had Misa. Then finally, the Shinigami King made the new rule because he never used the death note and didn't want it to just be a barganing chip. So Ryuk was going to tell the kid about the new rule and that he would die if he sold it but the kid told ryuk to never talk to him again and he didn't want to hear it. So because of that he died. So he was just lazy, no strive, no goal, no sense of justice, and just wanted to be rich forever and not have to do anything. Yes. The Shinigami King likes it when loads of people die, that's the Death Note being used exactly as it's meant to be used, and humans using the death note is implied to be what makes new shinigami (Light is hinted to have become one). The Shinigami King also makes the Death Notes, or at least supplies them to other Shinigami. A human having the death note without using it, or thinking anything material like money is more valuable than it, feels like an insult to the Shinigami King.
@@jimothyworldbuilding3664 it’s almost as if the moment you use the death note or anything you do with it you are destined to a bad outcome all by design of the shinigami king …light ended up getting k!led and Minaro outsmarted the rules took no place in killings and yet still lost by design of the king …it seems to me that the king set up a win win situation for himself with the death note no matter what but at the same time it’s kinda bad writing, because if you are a god, and make a mistake in regards of certain rules on a notebook and someone outsmarts you using your rules..it does not look good or godly to have that person still lose their life or be killed because you did not foresee that outcome I liked minaro but that is bad writing
@@jimothyworldbuilding3664 Probably it was entertained as was Ryuk by Light. Also, Light pretty much used the Notebook as it was intended to be used. funny how ryuk is basically the person who tries to get the most benifit out of the situation and while it was happening the story just said "hell nah" and added a new rule
from what I read in another comment the rule was made before the sale went through and ryuk never told the kid about the new rule because the kid had cut ties with ryuk
I liked minaros character design tbh the haircut and everything about him was chill af if only he didn't tell ryuk to never talk to him again he'd still be around
I think he really may be the smartest user albeit the quickest to die, he got the death god king involved and there was a new rule for the death note added just because of him.
He's clever, not that smart. He was stuck inside the box, not knowing what he's messing with. When Light held DN and met Ryuk the first time, Light said he was ready to die because Light precisely knew that the DN should have been owned by a non-human creature, Light knew what he was dealing with. Although they all played around the rules, Light was not reckless enough to assume that literal Shinigami king doesn't have just the whim to punish someone for playing way too ahead around the rules. Especially since Ryuk himself is pretty whimsical himself.
just cause he got a rule added doesn't mean he's smart. the king just hated that this new Kira didn't want to play the game. you don't get to have a death note if you don't use it to kill.
