I don't understand why Queen Elizabeth refers to her 1/2 Sister Queen Mary as "Cousin"? I am intrigued by the whole movies history, true or not. Thanks for sharing. (;

What do you mean 1/2 sisters? Half sisters? Because they are not sisters or half sisters, they are cousins by blood. Elisabeth is the daughter of Henry the 8 of England while Mary is the granddaughter of Henry’s older sister, Margaret Tudor.Mary’s father is literally first cousin with Elisabeth as her(Elisabeth) father and his(Mary’s father) mother were siblings.

@@teonapatiu8544 Isn't Mary the Daughter of King Henry VIII (Mother Catherine Of Aragon)? Isn't Elizabeth the Daughter of King Henry VIII (Mother Anne Boleyn)? If so, Elizabeth and Mary are Half-Sisters/Step-Sisters.

@@rinalore9416 No.Mary Tudor, daughter of Henry viii and Cathrine of Aragon, also known as Blody Mary died in 1558 when Elisabeth became queen.That Mary was her halfsister. This is Mary Stuart aka Mary Queen of Scots.A diferent woman with the same name.She was the daughter of king James V of Scotland and Mary of Guise.King James was the son of Henry's older sister,Margaret Tudor, as I said in my first coment,which makes them cousins. If Mary Tudor, Elisabeth's older half sister, were alive Elisabeth would't be queen,as it would be Mary's right.Elisabeth only became queen after her halfsister died in 1558.

@@teonapatiu8544 Would you believe I live in Canada and they don't teach us anything about the United Kingdom Royal Dynasties here and we're a sovereign Nation because of The UK, England's baby, so to speak. I referred to Queen Elizabeth II as my other Mum and the UK as home. All I know for sure is that there are no proven descendants of Henry VIII alive today. My ancestors crossed the pond in the early and late 1800s from Kilkenny Islands, Ireland and Staffordshire, England and know I come from a long🧬line of lunatics.😅 💐Thanks for the clarification, it seems your baby names book (for the time in history) only had 10 first names to choose from (male/female or both). lol
