I stopped celebrating pagan holidays which had a christian label slapped on them. I have been honoring the sabbath. I'm glad I came across this video because I want to know what celebrations/feast which are pleasing God. I don't want to partake in paganism no matter what shade of lipstick is on them; they not of God.

Christmas and Easter is NOT pagan influenced. The early church fathers were not against either. Many fathers who supported the festival of Christ’s birth in the first few centuries vigorously opposed pagan accretions, but they had no problem with celebrating Jewish festivals that had been Christianized. There are 4 myths associating Christmas with pagan rituals. 1. Mithras 2. Tammuz 3. Saturnalia 4. Sol Invictus I can explain each. And I can explain who determined the date to celebrate Christ's birth. Zechariah 2:10 Rejoice, for I am coming to live with you. See also Luke 2:8-14 when angels rejoiced at Jesus' birth.

The feasts can't save us, but obedience to all of YAHUAH'S commands is definitely involved - willing disobedience to Abba YAHUAH'S Torah will land one in the Lake. YAHUAH through His Son, YAHUSHA, shed His sinless blood for our redemption; however, that did not excuse us from His instructions on how He expects us to live our lives. See Matthew 7:21-23 word study in the Strong's on the word "iniquity."

Glory, Honor, blessings, thanks and praise to the Lord my God, for healing my heart during a heart attack! On March 26th 2022, just past midnight, I was laying restless in bed, and I had a heart attack. My arms and legs became tingly and numb, then my chest got tighter, and then my heart felt like it was being crushed. So I sang out to God and Jesus, about my pain, my feelings, my faults and my inabilities. As I sang, I began to feel like a river, and a hand was on my back, it's fingers where skimming the surface, separating the waters, causing ripples through my body. Then the hand reached inside my chest, lit my heart on fire, and the heat moved like waves through my body. When I was done singing, all the pain was gone, and I looked at the clock, it was past 1am, I had been singing near an hour. Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above, and there was a hymn of energy in the air, the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God. Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart! Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul! Hallelujah for every day! Hallelujah for every breath! The Lord is Faithful and true! May the Lord Bless your hearts, so that you have the will and strength to turn from selfish sins, and flee from the slaveries of the flesh!

Thank you, Brother Tom, for your teaching. After the Summer Solstice is the three summer months of Tammuz, Av, and Elul. Which of the seven feasts are you showing to be in these summer months? Luke 17 says the days of the Son of Man will be as the day Noah entered the ark. Noah entered the ark in the spring. It will also be like the day Lot went out of Sodom. Lot fed the angels a Feast of Unleavened Bread, and they left Sodom the next day. This event is also in the spring. Jesus gives the sacraments of the Lord's Supper during the spring feasts to remind believers until He comes. The Spring Feasts are mostly fulfilled by Jesus, but won't fully be fulfilled until His second coming. Jesus uses these spring feasts to identify the day of His return. The Feast of Trumpets may announce the coming of the King riding a white horse.

Yeshua was not crucified on Friday and raised on Sunday, (that's a christian doctrine, one can do more study on this if you want to know the truth of his crucifixion and resurrection) he was crucified on Wednesday and rose on Shabbat (probably evening) and was first seen on the first day of the week, that's the only way that you can get 3 days and nights in the grave. It is the prophecy that as Jonah spent 3 days and nights in the belly of the great fish so would Yeshua be 3 days and nights in the grave. Also we should not celebrate any pagan festival (Christmas, Easter and such) because we are commanded by Yehovah not to because it's an abomination to him. Yehovah said I AM your God and you are to follow my statutes and ordinances.....

Israel slaugther a lamb on 14 Nissan(always a Wednesday) according to the Biblical calender Yeshua was crusified on 14 Nissan the day before the High Sabbath (Thursday) and risen on the weekly Sabbath. Luke 24. And Matthew states that on the first day of the week they (Mary) found the tomb empty, thus Yeshua already rose. The angel said he HAS risen. 72 hrs after Wednesday 15h00 is Saturday.

Actually Jesus was sacrificed as the passover lamb on a Wednesday and 3 days and 3 nights later as Jesus said, the sign of Jonah, He resurrected on Saturday twilight, the first fruits offering. This is clearly explained in The Chronological Gospels, by Michael Rood among many others.

The first moedim listed in leviticus 23 is the 7th day sabbath. It is actually listed twice and is determined by the moon and sun just like all the others.
@mslyontamer5101
@mslyontamer5101 4 месяца назад
Yes the sabbath is listed, but it's not based on the sun and moon. YHWH kept the sabbath on the 7th day of creation, even though the sun and moon were not created until day 4. It's a 7 day count. As described in genesis.
@brianlucas7604
@brianlucas7604 4 месяца назад
@@mslyontamer5101 hmmmm.. Adam was created on day six. He was an adult. YHWH can create things at any condition he chooses. The sun and moon MAY have been created on day four, but that doesn't say at what stage the moon was in or where the sun was placed in the sky.
@mslyontamer5101
@mslyontamer5101 4 месяца назад
That's really stretching to fit the lunar sabbath doctrine. What are your thoughts then on that doctrine interrupting perfect cycles of 7 in order to account for the extra days that inevitably pop up while waiting on the new moon, since the lunar cycle is never a perfect 28 days? How did YHWH instruct the israelites in the wilderness about manna? Did he not instruct them to gather double on the sixth day and none on the sabbath? How would that work out then at the end of the lunar month on day 29 or 30? Add a couple days in and disregard His instructions to count cycles of 7?

Yup, I agree. It's a clock, and every phase occurs exactly 7 days apart starting with the sighting. Moon days are in Scripture! The same verses they use to prove all the Feasts are kept according to the moon are the ones proving Lunar Sabbath! What literally debunks Saturday or Sunday Sabbath is the International date line! There is a 24hour difference just by crossing the line which not only proves our entire calendar is pagan, but they can't create a calendar without a fake line. Is it just a coincidence they start a new day in the most desolate area of the Pacific Ocean in the middle of the night???

While keeping the feast won’t earn you salvation, and the feasts didn’t earn Yeshua salvation, it is not true that your salvation (which is Yeshua) wasn’t dependent on them. How so? Adonai has a template and made it that Yeshua would come and literally fulfill prophecy spoken of Him through the feasts. Could YHVH created more or less feasts? Sure. We have no idea what that might look like but what we do know is that His Torah is perfect. Yeshua kept it perfectly. Had he not… He wouldn’t have been the messiah and your salvation would still be messiahless. You’d still be looking for your salvation like our Jewish orthodox friends are.

I think you mean 7 weeks plus one day = 50. Feast of Weeks begins on Sunday (Firstfruits) ends on a Sunday (Pentacost/Shavuot) with the counting of the Omer (measures of barley) each of the 50 days. Ends with the waving of leavened wheat loaves (representing the Gentiles inclusion). So much symbolism I missed before observing the Moedim 😢.

@brianlucas7604 4 месяца назад
@@camillemitchell7397 umm... no. Read leviticus 23: 15 and 16 in the Holman translation or in the Scriptures ( institute for scripture research). Both say 7 sabbath's and 50 days. This actually makes sense since there is no variety of wheat that would be ripe in only 7 weeks. Most wheat takes 100 to 120 days to ripen, so a first fruits offering would be around 100 days.

FEAST OF SHAVU'OTH Book of Jubilees 6:16 "He set His bow in the cloud for a sign of the eternal covenant that there should not again be a flood on the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. 17 For this reason it is ordained and written on the heavenly tablets, that they should celebrate the Feast of Shavu'oth in this month once a year, to renew the covenant every year. 18 And this whole feast was celebrated in heaven from the day of creation till the days of Noah twenty six jubilees and five weeks of years, and Noah and his sons observed it for seven Jubilees and one week of years till Noah's death, and from the day of Noah's death his sons did away with it until the days of Avraham, and they ate blood. 19.But Avraham observed it, and Yitschaq and Ya'aqov and his children observed it up to your days (Mosheh), and in your days children of Yashar'el forgot it until you celebrated it anew on this mountain. "

Read Leviticus 23 and tell me you can keep these feasts days as God ordained in the Torah and if you can't then you will be going against God by not keeping them in the precise way he prescribed. The Jews had already taken Jesus while they were still preparing for the passover (John 19), yet Jesus had already eaten the passover with his disciples before this (Luke 22). Be careful how you hear. Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. 13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Read Isaiah 1:1-14 , Amos 5:21-22, Colossians 2:8-17, 2Corinthians 3, and tell me that God desires for us to keep these feasts days.

A very staunch "Christian" challenged me once on this very question while he defended the observance of the abominated festivals of men... After responding with this, he never replied back to me... You sacrifice the way you can in absence of the Temple: (Old Testament "substitutes") Psalm 51:16 and 17 - 16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You take no pleasure in burnt offerings. 17THE SACRIFICES OF GOD ARE a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. (ALWAYS remember WHY Yeshua had to die on the cross. Innocent animals USED to die for sins. But that wasn't good enough. Men treated the sacrifices of animals as a license to sin. So YeHoVaH sent the innocent lamb of GOD for our sins. If it does not slam you to the floor every time you think how Yeshua suffered and died on that cross for you...) 1 Samuel 15:22 - But Samuel declared: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obedience to His voice? Behold, OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE, and attentiveness is better than the fat of rams. (Obedience to GOD's Commandments are better than atoning sacrifices for breaking them.) Psalm 107:22 - And let them sacrifice the SACRIFICES OF THANKSGIVING, and declare his works with rejoicing. (Don't ever be embarrassed or afraid to thank YeHoVaH/Yeshua any time or any place. You never know who is listening.) (New Testament "substitutes") Mark 12:33 - And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. (During the Feasts of YeHoVaH, show love to other people. Help the poor, feed the hungry and comfort the sick) Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE. (During the Feasts of YeHoVaH, show love to other people. Help the poor, feed the hungry and comfort the sick) You make a personal offering to Yeshua, our High-Priest: Matthew 25:40 - And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ (During the Feasts of YeHoVaH, show love to other people. Help the poor, feed the hungry and comfort the sick) Matthew 25:45 - Then the King will answer, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.' (During the Feasts of YeHoVaH, show love to other people. Help the poor, feed the hungry and comfort the sick) People can argue over the calendars, that a tent is not a sukkah, that you are not doing the "Seder" correctly... But when it is all said and done, these are not the things that will impress Messiah that much... The Scriptures are quite clear that what I have listed are acceptable sacrifices to GOD... If you do these things and "observe" the Feasts of YeHoVaH the best way you can, the chances of you hearing "Well done good and faithful servant" are infinitely better than someone who only barbecues a lamb, eats a few pieces of matza and sleeps in a "real" sukkah... I hope this helped you... Blessings and Shalom...

@@195409ify "Yeshua was the end of all sacrifice, " Then WHY did the Apostles CONTINUE to make sacrifices after the ascension of Yeshua into Heaven? 1 Corinthians 11:1 - Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. -Paul says we are to imitate him like he did Christ, so lets see what Paul did. Here are examples of 5 of the 7 feasts being kept. Day of Pentecost Acts 2:2 When the Day of Shavuot (Pentecost) had fully come, they were all with one accord[a] in one place. -How did they receive the holy spirit after Yeshua ascended? They were observing the Day of Shavuot that Sunday. Acts 20:16 - 16 For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be at Jerusalem, if possible, on the Day of Shavuot (Pentecost). -Paul was hurrying to observe this feast and Jesus has been dead for years. 1 Corinthians 16:8 - But I will tarry in Ephesus until Shavuot (Pentecost). -Paul is keeping this feast in Ephesus. Passover and Unleavened Bread Acts 20:6 - 6 But we sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days joined them at Troas, where we stayed seven days. -Why even mention Unleavened Bread, if it was abolished and no longer being observed? Acts 12:1 through 4 - 1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2 Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. 4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.-Verse 3 shows that they were keeping the Passover and Unleavened Bread. 1 Corinthians 5:7 through 8 - 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.[a] 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. -Paul here is telling the New Testament Christians to keep the Passover and Unleavened bread, 1 Corinthians 11:23 through 25 - 23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat;[a] this is My body which is broken[b] for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” -Paul is describing the New Testament Passover service, that Jesus established with His disciples on the night before His crucifixion. From the above passages we see that Paul commanded the Gentiles in the city of Corinth to keep Gods Holy Days. Acts 12:1 through 4 - 1Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2 Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. 4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. -Verse 3 shows that they were keeping the Passover and Unleavened bread, Feast of Tabernacles Acts 18:20 and 21 - 20 When they asked him to stay a longer time with them, he did not consent, 21 but took leave of them, saying, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing.” And he sailed from Ephesus. The Day of Atonement Acts 27:9 through 10 - 9 Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them, 10 saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” -Paul is referring to the Fast on the Day of Atonement. Luke wrote the book of Acts many years after Christ’s death and he referred to the Day of Atonement calling it the “Fast”, So why was Paul still observing all of these Feasts years after Yeshua's Ascension, if the sacrifices were abolished and no longer needed? Wouldn't Paul have received the revelations on the road to Damascus, when Jesus revealed himself to him that they were no longer needed? Paul was a Pharisee. He was one of the most learned men among the disciples. If he kept the feast days after Christ there was a reason for it. Of course there are some people who think everything in Jewish practice was abolished after Yeshua arose from the grave. That's not true either. Not all sacrifices were "Sin Sacrifices"... There were "wave offerings" (for Shavuot) There were "friendship offerings"... And there were also sacrifices to complete vows (Nazarene Vows)... "Yeshua and His Body are the 3rd Temple" So what you are saying is that the Anti-Messiah will sit inside of Yeshua? 2 Thessalonians 2:4 - He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

I generally have enjoyed this channel. NOT THIS ONE. Pretty poor. The ten words, the ten commandments are all potentially capital crimes. They all can result in a death penalty. Let's put some thought test here... 1. Anochi Hashem - I am Hashem. Is it a salvation issue if someone denies the existence of God? Can you deny God and be "saved"? 2. Have no other gods - can someone who worship other gods be "saved"? Is worshipping multiple ditties a salvation issue? 3. Do not take the name of God in vain - is it possible to swear to a falsehood in the name of God and be held blameless? Is this a salvation issue?? Proverbs 12:22 lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. Where do liars end up? Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 4. Remember the sabbath - this one is optional. Not a salvation issue or spiritual death consequence. Not REALLY important. I am "speaking as a fool"... The sabbath comes before "shall not murder", but no worries, sabbath is optional. Do or don't do it, do it whenever you wish! No worries. Jeroboam was actually a righteous king! The antichrist in Daniel who seeks to change the law and the time is super righeous!!

Mr. Bradford, Respectfully, there is no evidence Christmas and Easter traditions are of pagan origin. Doing further research, past the general Wikipedia article, will confirm this information. it will greatly surprise the anti-Holiday crowd, but early and modern Christians were indeed capable of coming up with symbols and practices for celebration without any need of pagan influence.

The information provided in this video is misinformation at best. It should make everyone question everything taught by this man. The festival of Saturnalia was celebrated during the winter solstice, December 21, not December 25. Hippolytus, a student of Irenaeus, student of Polycarp, who was a student of John the Apostle, determined that the Creation occurred on March 25, during the spring solstice. He concluded that the New Creation must also be on that day. Hippolytus considered this was the day of Mary’s conception, and is still celebrated as Mary’s Annunciation today. By that calculation, adding 9 months of pregnancy, we come to December 25th. And that is why we celebrate on that date today. Whether or not he is correct is not the concern. The point is, there was no pagan or any outside influence on the determination of the date. Equally with Easter. The word “Easter” comes from the early English word “Eostre” that was mentioned as a spring festival. This originated from a monk named Bebe in the Middle Ages. It was supposedly a pagan Celtic festival, but never validated. When Erasmus translated the New Testament, he decided to separate the Greek word ‘pascha’ meaning Passover, from the day of Resurrection. English was still developing and he chose the word “Eostre” since it was a spring festival, not because of any pagan correlations. Easter was only mentioned once in Erasmus’ Textus Receptus in Acts 12:4. The suggestion that Easter comes from Ishtar began in 1853 from a pamphlet called The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop. Hislop was a fanatical anti-Catholic (and conspiracy theorist) who wanted to prove that the Catholic Church was really a new version of an ancient Babylonian religion. In his writings (and especially that pamphlet) he tried to pull together his theories with 'new' archeology of the day. He made several claims about the origin of the Catholic church and its 'connection' to Babylonian religions and this included lots of things to do with Christmas and Easter. Some claim bunnies and eggs are associated with Ishtar. The symbols for Ishtar was an eight pointed star and a lion, which display magnificence, not an innocent and harmless bunny, or eggs that represent new birth.

What you say is paganism and is not from scripture. It’s idolatry, but then so is much Christian teachings today. Go to the Word! Jesus is the Word of God in flesh! John 1:1,14 And the celebration of the birthday of the sungod is 25/12. The fertility god was celebrated at the start of spring with eggs and bunnies! Has had many names but Easter is derived from those names. It’s very obvious.

@@moiraravji5070 Wrong. Misinformation. AGAIN, Ishtar's symbolism relates to an 8 pointed star and a lion, NOT bunnies. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_of_Ishtar And Ishtar was killed by her sister. AGAIN, Alexander Hislop wrote a pamphlet in 1853 called The Two Babylons to which he attempted to display the Catholic church as Babylon It's all from there. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Hislop Dig deeper.

@@moiraravji5070 IF, you cared to dig deeper, you would notice that the Geneva Bible, the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), and Young's Literal Translation (YLT) all use the original word for Passover in Acts 12:4. The KJV uses the Textus Receptus from Erasmus which translated the Greek word for Passover into a relatively new (at the time) English word to distictive as the Resurrection separated from the Passover in Acts 12:4. Dig deeper. The pagan god that you can't name you are referring to is Mithras. There's no evidence that Mithras had a 'birthday' until the 4th century (at least 200 years after Christmas had been celebrated on December 25th) or any evidence that the 'birth of Mithras' was celebrated on December 25th! (There's also evidence that 'Sol Invictus' might also have happened in October and not December anyway.)

Romans celebrated their sun god, Sol Invictus, on Dec. 25.
@robbracken1758
@robbracken1758 4 месяца назад
@@Grateful4Grace777 The Roman Emperor Aurelian established a feast of the birth of Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun), on this date in 274 CE. We know from historical records that the early church recognized the birth of Jesus as early as 125 AD. And as Jesus taught John, John taught Polycarp, who taught Irenaeus, who taught Hippolytus of Rome. Irenaeus and Hippolytus stood to reason the Creation occurred at the time of the spring equinox, or March 25. They also believed Mary was conceived on that same day, equally a ‘new’ creation in Jesus. Adding nine months of pregnancy, we come to December 25. Hippolytus stated this in 204 AD while Christianity was still illegal. Julius Sextus Africanus, another early church father who wrote The Chronology, about the world’s events up to the present time, also considered Mary’s conception to have occurred on March 25th, and published in 217 AD. To summarize, we know the church recognized the birth of Jesus as early as 125 AD. We know that an Apostolic Father in the lineage of John the Apostle named Hippolytus considered the birth of Jesus in 204 AD. And 17 years later, Julius Sextus Africanus published a book with that same conclusion, FIFTY THREE YEARS BEFORE ROME ADOPTED THE DATE FOR THEIR pagan god. Therefore, Rome was influenced by Christianity, not the other way around.
