The video I share today is about the April Fair of Seville Spain. The famous Seville fair, is not only the largest and most important celebration in Seville, but one of the most anticipated grandiose event fairs in all of Spain that is held annually in the Los Remedios neighborhood. So what do people do during the April Fair in Seville Spain? It is the time of a big party where people drink, eat, dance, socialize and do acquaintances. During this big and happy celebration people wear traditional clothing. The women wear the Gitana costume or faralaes, which is a typical flamenco-style costume, and the men wear the short suit or so-called short jacket, tight pants and boots, and a hat called cordobes. This is generally the way people use many years ago. Particularly those who ride horses or those who drive a carriage, but most men wear formal or casual clothing.
For more information about this Sevilla fair, you can find it at a spring festival that is held annually in the city of Seville. The fair usually begins two weeks after Holy Week. It officially begins at midnight on Saturday and runs for seven days until next weekend, so its a cheerful long week celebration.
The origin of the celebration dates back to August 25, 1846 (1846) when two business councilors settled in the city and wrote a proposal that they took to the city council requesting the celebration of an agricultural and livestock fair. From then on it was celebrated and became increasingly grandiose and finally famous in Spain.
