For some who are interested in chemistry in perfumery: fougère accord is an abstract thing, same with amber accord. There is no certain smell in nature that represents amber or fern. People also get confused very often with terms of amber and ambergris, which share some aspects, but there are still very different things. You need four things to recreate a simple fougere accord, a barbershop illusion: Coumarin Evernyl (Veramoss) Lavender EO Amyl Salicylate You can substitute Amyl Salicylate for another one (be careful with Methyl Salicylate!). Fair play to Omar: Geranium EO, Bergamot EO and Rose raw materials are optional and also can be used in a fougère formula easily. Love JPG Le Male EDT very much. One of my designer all time favs.
yo omar im so early just wanted to say thx for the consistent quality uploads, im 16 and have been into fragrances for about a year now thx to u. I have 12 fragrances rn, mainly designers and some middle eastern dupes, and i’ve covered my bases and occasions pretty well. I’m gonna get my first niche fragrance probably during the holiday season cuz of all the sales online lmao. anyways keep it up 👍
I think you missed a „citrusy“ category. Because I wouldn’t describe scents like Imagination or L‘Immensite or Tygar as „blue“ or „aquatic“ but rather as citrusy fresh. Which category would you put something like Aventus or Silver Mountain water in?
Your videos have helped guide me with my fragrance selection. I recently purchased lattafa al nashama caprice. Let’s see how it goes!

Good show! I wear 2 out of this list, LNDL Bleu Électrique and D&G Light Blue Eau Intense. They are not just compliment puller, they are poeple puller, lol
I would greatly appreciate your suggestions for the best "Everyday Work Perfumes" suitable for the office environment. Since I will be using this perfume daily, could you please produce two videos: a. Mid-Range Budget Perfumes b. Budget-Friendly Options Currently, I keep Nautica Voyage (200ml) in my work locker for emergency use and have used up the 100ml version in approximately two months. I am looking for fragrances that are: 1. Neutral - Subtle scents that are not very overpowering. 2. Non-Offensive - Suitable for a professional setting without causing discomfort to colleagues. 3. Affordable - Cost-effective options considering daily use. 4. Long-Lasting - Perfumes that maintain their scent throughout the day (8Hrs). 5. Emergency Scent - Suitable for keeping in a locker for occasional use. Your recommendations would be immensely helpful.
Great video Omar. I discovered you very recently. I appreciate your unbiased and practical take on perfumery. I was drawn to the world of fragrance after I started wearing Falkar by Bvlgari's Le Gemme line. Do you have that one perfume that drew you into this?
Have never leaned towards the gourmands, closest in Honey Aoud or Noir Extreme with the minor focus on the edible notes. I sort of bundle in sweet scents as a close alternative eg TMW line. Prada LHI and TF OL edp take up the top shelf in my collection along with DHI. For aquatics i use ADG Profondo as a daily driver
“Oriental” isn’t used much anymore because of its origins in European colonialism. It was a way of reducing all of Asia into one culture and aesthetic - anything from the Middle East to India to SE Asia to China could be lumped in with “oriental”, as though they were all the same.
I've never worn cologne but I want to get 1 cologne that goes well with the fall/winter and maybe spring. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money either, what would you recommend? I have been looking into colognes recently but I'm still not sure. Can you please help me out
Hello fragrances champion i have full confidencd on ure test so Tell me pls if u had to choose between le male le parfum jpg or valentini uomo intensd what will be your choice?
I just came across your Channel. If you could give me the top 5 fragrances for men in their late 40s and early 50s, that can be purchased at Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, and exclusive brands online, what would it be? 1. One fragrance for old money and wealth (classy, elegant, wealth, turns head)? 2. One fragrance to drive women crazy? 3. Once fragrance to make women turned on? 4. Once fragrance to make you irresistible? 5. One fragrance to make you seductive? Thank you.
New to fragrances and made a list looking to get some opinions on it. Multiple in each category and I’d only get 1 in each for now then get more or replace with another when one bottle finishes. Just tried azzaro, loewe, cedrat Boise intense, and jazz club today and liked them all Versatile- cedrat boise intense, Loewe 7 cobalt, blue de chanel edp or parfum Loud- azzaro the most wanted, jpg Le male elixir Professional- Prada La Homme, Chanel allure homme sport Warm weather- memoirs of a perfume collector trouble in paradise, acqua di gio profumo, dolce and gabana light blue intense Reserved evening- Prada Luna Rosa Black, dolce and gabana the one, Tom ford noir extreme Fall/winter- jazz club mason margiela, L’homme ideal guerlain, Chanel avanteus, Dior homme parfum, Prada l’homme intense
Ditch the le male elixir, too strong and too synthetic. Go for le male le parfum instead. More elegant, more welcoming, strong but reasonable and a better scent overall.
@@julianrodriguez8655 nothing much, since I don't have experience with most of these fragrances. Maybe switching the allure homme sport to warm weather? The 'sport' stands for the "finer sports" like the ones you'll see at country clubs, not workplace necessarily. And moving the ADG Profumo/Parfum to professional. ADG is def top 10 professional scents of all time. Prada L'Homme works in both enviroments, since it's an harmless easy to like very well blended scent (all 3 of them are).
I do not really have a tropical scent yet. I was trying to get my hands on a sample set by M.O.A.P.C., but these sample sets are basically always sold out. I am hoping to get the chance to smell them in a partnered store on my next trip to London or Budapest whenever that will be. People who have a tough time with leather should check out Godolphin by Parfums de Marly. It's a more wearable Tuscan Leather and quite inoffensive, yet the leather accord is clearly noticable.
3:40 or Fragrance World Jack of Clubs. It's in the same price range as Lattafa Nashama Caprice, however it's more true to the DNA of Bleu Electrique. Nashama is more lavender forward vs Jack is more cardamom and spicy. Both are excellent. I prefer Jack of Clubs personally
Jack of Clubs by Fragrance World. It's a mix of the Vintage LNDL and Bleu Electrique. Lattafas clone is more long lasting, but it's not as close as this one
I wear a bunxh of fragrance up and down the line if houses i own a huge collection and of all of what i own even though its not a great performance....Tom Ford oud wood id literally gotten asked if was married and go out after an event i. Was working at being a Bartender and so so many times the looks alone you get just from a woman trying to utter the right words without being to forward is unreal with oud wood ..
Not sure what your interest is in LOEWE 7 Cobalt, you recommend it any time you have a chance, and I have it, but it is nothing like you describe and it is really nothing outstanding. It is ab absolutely mediocre fragrance.
Are there any fragrances out there that do the tropical coconut/island vibe but still comes off as masculine, rather than unisex? I know that sounds like a bit of an oxymoron but still…
@harismohammad6808 I understand, but that's like takimg the spicy/oriental category and making a separate category for fragrances with black pepper notes, just defeats the purpose of the categorization system. I get what you mean though, I personally don't believe in categories because you could have an oriental oud fragrance with a mango note and that would be like three different categories mixed
Please report the Xjoff guy for spamming the comment section to RU-vid. It's gotten ridiculous at this point. Also guys, please excuse my behaviour. Because it seems now I am doing the same spamming as him. However once he stops and we can actually discuss the video topic and/or fragrances in general, I will ofcourse stop this aswell.
Took your advice on Loewe 7 Cobalt, no regrets, probably one of my favourites now. (Also bought ATH Guapo, what a disappointment, overrated , not worth the money in my opinion)
@@Loewe7CobaltThe old small green bottles of Loewe Esencia Edt was a fantastic fragrance, classed as an aromatic fougere, replaced now by the new shaped bottles.
