You can't beat the Shadows. It's time music that (like they) never seems to get old. Well done boys, may you live forever, These guys were my heroes when I was a young boy and I still love them. Thanks for posting this show, I have never seen this performance before.
@@susanroycroft89 In my experience RU-vid simply accepts the name given to a video by the person who uploaded it. This concert from the 1983/4 tour took place at the NEC Birmingham on 10 July 1984 and led to two video releases. This one, “The Shadows Live”, was issued on VHS in 1996. The other, “Together” featuring Cliff Richard as well as the Shadows was released two years earlier - here’s the opening number ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HdK-HZm24ak.html
This is from July 1984 concert with Cliff - filmed at Birmingham NEC. The Shads had their own set and a video, and subsequently a dvd was released later
The best in the world no one can replace them I have beautiful memories i was 17 in Italy I am in Australia now I come 1963 to this country But now is my beautiful spiritual brother I am so happy
It's been 6 decades and counting just flowing dearly with their awesome rhytmic performances. I used to play drums in my teens and still get up excited with them.
Better late than never 😁 my introduction was Apache. Played on jukebox in ROTHESAY Amusements. Not my coin's but older boys. Even then I knew they were special. Oor Welly 🤗☕
the shadows are the best band ever put together there sound is second to none what a fabulous sound i was at this concert at the nec birmingham and with these modern sound bars of today it comes over like being there fantastic and i even shook hanks hand memories

From WC USA, stationed in Germany USAF, one of our Airmen with more rank, had a new Opel with a really good radio and we would drive around our city listening to Radio Luxemburg after dark and that was the first time I had heard of The Shadows, they were great! I tried to find their records in the Army PX but I think I finally had to go to a German store to find an Album of their’s! I think it cost 20 Marks, which was about $5.00 back then, which was late summer of 1962, if I remembered correctly! I can listen again now on RU-vid which is great!
I agree with dave, these are simply the finest musicians on the planet..! been a shads fan for 50 years and no one has come close - thanks for the upload.
I'm with Mike Ratigan. I wish I had been exposed to the Shadows when they first appeared on the R&R Scene. I don't know if my late Brother was acquainted with them back in the 60y's. He and his band were on the edge of becoming major players in the R&R era about the time of the Beatles. I don't know why I never heard of them. Thanks, now I can listen to all of their Albums and Concerts on RU-vid. Just love their sound. Superb Talent !!!
I was born in the 1940s and grew up listening to The Shadows and was a member of my band playing lead guitar and one the easiest tunes I learnt was Round and Round great group every member goes his best in creating that sound
I'm 72 and hearing the Shadows, the Tornados, the Sentinels and many other spacy surf rock bands in my early preteen years was preparing me for the Beatles and the British Invasion.
I have listened to the SHADOWS since the late 50s and still love to listen to the when ever I get the chance i think they play wonderfull tunes have got loads of,cd*s to listen to great.
i have listenening since 1960.to them and took up the guitar to imitate ..play Like Hank ..I get s Lump. in throet and become teary eyed just Listening. to their intouchable sound....0❤play on boys....you made the. World sit up and see the change in music
In the early 60s, we guys who played guitar had half a dozen famous guitarists around the world as a reference point, but the musical group that fascinated us most was *The👨🦱🧑👨🦱 Shadows* with Hank Marvin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UkcdJTcayPU.html *GUITAR BOOGIE* guitar cover in the style of *Arthur 🎸Smith* - also performed by *Hank 🎸Marvin*
Marvellous n evergreen group that Britain has ever produced. Our group- ' The MedVets' used to play these numbers during our Uni-days in Lahore, Pakistan (1964-69).
That's quite a difference!! Thanks for passing it on . Strangely they looka little bit more fuzzy than the fairly recent gig at the dome...02 arena ..I believe in 2012...a very tight clean almost slick sound they got. This recording has a bit more "dirt" But there is space for a bit of craggy edges in the Shadows. Its truly impressive how tight and crisply they can still play.
👏👏🎼🎵🎶🎸🎸🎸❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎧👍👍The Shadows instrumenatal muzic original 60' tih.
