Man, i love your no nonsense approach to producing: Get your sounds at the source, no autotune, attention to detail, etc. Great job.

The steel player that did that signature lick was John Huey, 36 years with Conway Twitty. And 20 years with Vince Gill.

I learned a lot with your DefLeppard video, I am applying your teaching and techniques with my band. Thank you very much for your videos!!!

Cade, this is incredible man. That specific late 90’s to very early 2000’s pop country sound doesn’t get enough love. Big, but organic. Wide Open Spaces also comes to mind in that category. Super excited to watch this!

Cade - I'm a fellow Mutt fan. Love the effort you put into this and your reasoning as to how you think it was put together. This whole late 90s early 2000s era Mutt was just pure gold - Loved his record with The Corrs very much and I even loved Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know. Britney with Def Leppard style backing vocals! Can't beat it!!

Would love to see and hear a Whitesnake production from the same era, like maybe “Is This Love”

This is fantastic. I watched your Hysteria vid a week ago and stumbled across this one too. Then I see the Van Halen is out there now as well! This is very helpful, man! Now I have subscribed. There isn't enough of this out there for producing Rock/Country/Pop stuff. If you do these types of videos, I'm a fan for life! Thank you! How about some more modern stuff? Whiskey Myers? Stapleton? Maybe even some good early 2000's rock (Creed, Shinedown, dare I say Nickelback)? Looking so forward to my subscription of your channel and see what you have in store! Thank you!

Thanks so much for the nice compliment! I had Nickelback one in the works but then I got sidetracked but maybe I’ll circle back to it! Great production on those records for sure!

Love this. Production on this video would be perfect without the background noise on your voice. Brilliant, man!

what a stunning video i love the tom trick Ive heard Rick Beato been talk about those cables for years I think its Brenden O'Brien trick. I was Just wondering for the mono overhead do u just place it the same distance from the snare like u would the other oh mics? such a cool video tho great work!!
@CadeRoberts

Oh interesting! I got the idea off of a video of Paul Moak at his studio but that’s cool to hear Rick uses that technique as well. And yea, the mono overhead is measured the same difference from the snare drum as the stereo overheads.
