I have a friend that is 86 years old, and purchased this vacuum. She could not understand the instructions that came with the vacuum, so she called Shark customer service 800 number and she said they were very rude to her. They kept telling her to check her app. App?? That is so foreign to her because she does not have a smartphone or a computer. She called me upset and I went over to help her. I'm guessing they wanted her to use the QR code, which again, she has no idea how that works. More importantly, Shark and other businesses need to keep in mind that some of our senior population aren't always up on technology. I really appreciate this video. Very easy to follow. I can show it to her, and it will help her to understand her new vacuum. Shark needs to train their customer service representatives to be more tolerant and understanding of our seniors. One day, they may be one.
Hi Sheila…thank you for watching the video. When I make these videos it is in an effort to give honest feedback on a product but to also show the viewer “how-to” use it. I try my best to figure it out so you all don’t have to. Appreciate you commenting and God bless.
Paying staff to do things is one of the largest costs of any business. When the last of the market that requires help (the pre-internet generation) is gone, we will be in the wonderful new world of almost zero human contact with all of our purchases. Remember the good times i guess 😢
Just bought mine about a hour ago while still on sale at Costco, did a real quick run before charging it and so far picked up a lot of dirt in a very short amount of time, got a regular shark vac but got this for the convenience of not having to lug the heavy one around so much and dealing with the cord.
@@TheBuscemiFamily It does look big for a cordless stick vac. Sturdier build than my 5.5 Tineco. I'm petite w/ pain issues, so I might find that one wears me out a bit too much. Do you know the weight of that model? Oh, and w/ the bendable wand, w/ other models like that, they felt the wand was wobbly and had give to it when vacuuming carpets. I was thinking of another kenmore, bendy model like that.
It would be really nice if there was a function when you press the want dust cap open to empty the dirt/hair, it also pushes down the trapped dirt/hair. Otherwise, you have to dig your hand in it to remove the clog.
In the Shark video, they show that it is required to remove the dust bin from the wand before attempting to empty. I guess that is good because you won't accidentally empty it.
I recently got a cordless shark too and love it! My one complaint is there is nowhere on the body to hook those attachments. I am always afraid I am going to lose it or put it down somewhere when I asm switching things around. I wish it had a place to store it so that when it is in the closet, everything is connected on the stick.
wish you would have talked about how to recharge the battery. I thought this model was designed so you don't have to haul the whole vac over to an outlet. You remove the battery and charge just the battery. Pop it back in when it's done.
You're welcome 😊 Here is another Shark Video I recently did -> How to take out and Clean the Roller and Filter: Shark Cordless Pro ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ajkvq_2GXvE.html
Also make sure to clean the sensing sensors or else it when on sense cleaning it will go into full blast and stay like til the battery drains which will be quick. I thouht my unit was broke til i read the instructions on that part lol. Not sure if anyone has ran into that part yet but mine started doing that after about every 4th use because i have a german shepherd so i suck up tons of dusty pet dander and that stuff sticks to those 2 little sensors like glue
@cynthiawilliams263 2 on both sides on the inside of the vacuum itself at the very end where the first long attachment goes. U can see that it's marked on both sides . Just take like a microfiber cloth and stick up there and wipe both sensors .
On my battery there no light to tell if it is charge !! I plug it in there nothing show up really! Crazy on yours said a light . How do I know if batter is full of charge? I just got this shark no manual .
Bought one a few weeks ago and we have the hardest time taking the wand off. I have watched several videos and press the button it says too but we pull and pull and cannot get it off. Should I take it back? Obviously from the comments I am the only one struggling with getting the wand off.
@@TheBuscemiFamily My comment wasn't meant specifically for you, it was only meant to the public how insignificant the fact it won't stand a!one ! Excellent review by the way 🙏
At the top near the power button it has an “iq” mode that essentially is a “smart mode” that recognizes what is needed for whichever floor it is on. It also has an economy mode and a high power mode
I’m in agreement with you regarding the wand piece being in the way of the dust empty-ing process and I think the recharging cord. For that secondary issue, I’m kinda on the fence about getting the other Shark cleaner. I think I need time to mull over these two Sharks. Wait, did the 565 have the fins? Maybe you’ll do another video after a month or so? I have 2 much older Shark models. None of them have the fins, aha that’s why they’re so old. The old flex has that bad back brush that I do not like.
On the bottom you should see a gray colored screw…rotate that screw slightly to unlock the bottom compartment and lift up. Stick your finger in there and lift the roller out.
Does it pick up objects like cereal or pet food? Some stick vacuums do not have the clearance and just pushes that stuff around! Thanks for the video! From Madison, Indiana
It has multiple modes…one of which gives it extra power. It picks up everything in my experience. And the “boost mode” is great! Really appreciate you watching. Thanks so much.
I looked up your video to watch you unbox the parts because I'm returning the one I just bought and couldn't figure out how it went back in. You helped me figure it out! So thanks! I'm returning this vacuum for a full refund because it spit back out what I vacuumed up. For example, I have two flat area rugs (no pile) and two kitties. Even though you couldn't visually see the fur on top of the rugs, the vacuum did pick it up. The issue was that it immediately put it right back on top of the rugs...left a streak of fur and then would not vacuum it back up. I tried every speed there is and it would still not keep the fur inside the vacuum. The battery only lasted 15 minutes even though I had fully charged it. Nope...not good. I would call that defective! I've tried several vacuums and sent them all back. I settled for one off Amazon that is horrible!! No suction. Same with the Dyson I tried. Not enough suction...returned it! I don't think there's a good vacuum out there.
Bought mine last month from Costco . Used it a few times but now the battery won’t charge anymore. Checked outlet where it is charged and it’s working.
No good…I would return it and get another one. Seems like something is wrong with it. Our has never entirely lost power. It always has enough power to do an entire house.
The "handle" (handvac) looks huge! How big/heavy is it? Wondering if its too big and heavy for my wife to maneuver it around. Thanks for a great video!
@@TheBuscemiFamily I guess the one at Costco is different from the one on their website and other places from what I’m finding? I’m not sure. I was just trying to find a review for the one I bought at Costco to see how it holds up.
@@andie3131 The Shark at Costco is the cordless Pro w/Clean Sense IQ...so I think it is the same. Currently on sale till 2/26/23. I don't own it but will probably get this. I don't like that it won't stand on it's own. Also.....how are the attachments for car cleaning?
@@TheBuscemiFamilyso you can charge the battery separate from the entire vacuum? Quite nice id you don’t have an area like a small apartment with no power source in a closet or anywhere to mount it.
Thanks for the kind words. Appreciate you watching. We have a plush type area rug in my sons room…no issues there. We also just got a Pomeranian and it takes care of dog hair quite easily. Lastly we’ve had it now for a few months and it has NEVER run out of power using it as we use it.
@TheBuscemiFamily Thanks for your review and responding to questions! I've ordered a refurb in excellent condition with the option to return and a 90-day guarantee. We'll see how it goes!
Hi , thanks for review. I have one question how do I know that cordless vacuum is charged completely. When I plugged in for charging, it showed white light battery indicator but after some time it disappeared.so I am not able to figure out , is vacuum battery working properly or not .
I couldn’t tell you exactly because I don’t use it like that but I can tell you that it lasts a very very long time 90% of the time we don’t even plug it back into charge for weeks
@@TheBuscemiFamily Understandable... Use it in the "intro" but fade it out once you start your dialog...that way the listner isnt distracted by the background music. Again, good review on a handy product, thanks!
I disagree…it works beautifully. I had another brand and threw it out for this one. I’ve also had Dyson which was more expensive but Shark works equally as well. Just my humble opinion
@@TheBuscemiFamily Cmon, the thing burns through battery life & needs to be emptied every 3 minutes. The front roller doesn't even have suction to pick up the stuff it brushes. Compared to any standard vacuum of the last 75 years, it's a little flimsy toy.
@@elonmust7470 mine has an amazing battery life…picks up everything. Maybe you got a dud 🤷🏼♂️? What are you vacuuming that it needs to be emptied so quickly
@@elonmust7470 I’d write a letter. I have two dogs hard tile surfaces…area rugs. Half the time I don’t even charge it it lasts so long. Seems like something is wrong with ur machine. Is it a “Snark” instead of “Shark” you know like when it’s a knockoff.
