Shawn is a really good guy. I agree with you about the not left, not right. He is a great pod caster and interviewer. The fact the he does his interviews the way he does separates him from the rest. I also admire his spirit and the fact that he has overcome difficult personal stuff to get where he is. I want to order some of his gummy bears from his company. When Shawn brought up a single mother working multiple jobs with two kids and this man said “Life sucks”. How disrespectful is that? Life sucks isn’t the answer to that question, life sucks is an answer you give when the questioner has a point you can’t refute. It’s very hard for us men to feel empathy unless we have been through a similar experiences . It’s hard for men to care about other people’s children until they have their own. So it’s clear to me this man hasn’t ever had to raise children on his own, struggling to simply feed them but yet he’s going to say we need to change society from the bottom up. Shawn has been around, he’s seen how some children live in Afghanistan and Yemen, and he would never say something like that and I’m glad he pushed back.
Shawn is also one of my favorite people. WHY? BECAUSE: He is the only one who tells the whole truth of a matter. I also appreciate that he gives every guest an opportunity to speak and tell their story. Without so many interruptions, to change the narrative, or shifting the conversation towards himself. He’s a Patriot and his service record speaks volumes. I think that lends opportunity to his guests, to know it’s safe to speak and, he gets it more than most do. Our country is failing from the top down. We have an obligation to search a matter out… Shawn’s show gives the platform to shed light on many things.

Well said, he’s funny and thorough in his interview style. He’s evolved into a better man from when he started V.E. and meeting his beautiful wife who’s the best thing to ever happen to him. I’m happy for the both of them.

Been watching Shawn since the beginning. No one anywhere does a better job of aggregating disparate stories and/or narratives, and no matter how long it takes, consolidating all of those into an unabridged version of the truth. He's a masterful interviewer. I'm brand new to your podcast, but it's looking damn good so far. Look forward to seeing more!
Matt and Shawn. I was there, in DC, on January 6th. There must have been a Million of us there. People in their 20s, 30s, 40s. I'm in my 60s. I spoke with a lovely woman with white wispy hair who said that her children and grandchildren told her not to attend. They told her "it's none of your business, Ma." She said "excuse me? This is my country. It absolutely IS my business!" That woman was 71 years old at the time. Her body was frail. But her spirit was Iron! Good honest Americans exercising their right "Peaceably to assemble and to petition their government for a redress of grievances." (Care to guess where I got that language?) And what happened to us? The MSM, the Corporate Media, slandered us as insurrectionists. They called US traitors! Oligarchs like Larry Fink at BlackRock and his counterparts at Vanguard and State Street are afraid of many things. But their Biggest Fear is that we, the people of America come together and demand honest government, an end to corrupt businesses, etc. They will do everything in their power to keep us divided. So far, it is working. What do we do? We find a way to bring ourselves together. Here's 1 example. Reach out to your Muslim brothers and talk to them about the teaching of Sex Education and the promotion of Gay and Trans lifestyles in schools. I guarantee they will stand beside us at the school board meetings.
I like this interview a lot. I especially like that Shawn didn’t agree with you on everything. What an awesome thing to see, and it was incredibly refreshing to watch this.

I'm not from California, I know most of the state is conservative Red. Many people don't know that. Ronald Reagan and Jerry Brown ruined your once fine state. I live in Alaska, a good buddy of mine now, moved here from the Bay area. I've gave him tons of crap for being a californicator. As time passed I realized he is a hunting/fishing fool, redneck, blue collar conservative, freedom loving, weed smoking, ready to help anyone in need kinda a guy. He's a good dude and he's my friend. He misses Cali but couldn't deal with the taxes, politics and over regulations on everything. I know it must be heartbreaking to see and experience the state you love become unlivable.

Hey Matt Kim Im a single woman living alone in US without family and support system and working endlessly to keep above water struggling in this economy like never before and i must say you sounded so privileged and entitled with your quick assumptions of how easy to fix a problem. So people have had a hand up or out I've had nothing but mountains of obstacle to climb on a day to day basis my life hasn't been easy and when I fail Im on my own there is no neighbor, no one wants to be around someone who struggles and isnt winning okay. You just have a lot of easy in your life and it shows
I really enjoyed listening to Matt and Shawn. They have great chemistry together and Matt asked great questions only a friend would ask. They challenged each others positions respectively. Enjoy both Shawn and Matt's podcasts.

HOOYA! Ryan is an outstanding person to interview. Shawn has an illustrious career in the spec ops community and of course the company as a contractor. I have the utmost respect for him and every SOF Member who’s put everything on the line for the betterment of civilization.

No one will improve morally until they admit they are morally depraved and need Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Our representatives (not leaders) are a reflection of the moral character of our culture in general.
While I had previously signed the petition myself, I would ask Shawn to look inward after making the statement that he personally doesn't pay attention to the news surrounding Ukraine as well as noting his own struggles with mental health. This is exactly the issue in America on all agendas... to much information to manage and not enough bandwidth to maintain personal obligations and responsibilities with work, family, bills, health, etc. etc. This he of all people should understand why people find it difficult to find the time for one more thing to fit in the day under the notion of being apart of the bigger change. Most of the middle class are just trying to get by and a big way in which they are keeping their lives together is by tuning out of the broad based news and focusing on what they can affect for themselves to be better for their immediate family. Certainly there is a large degree of laziness that has affected modern society but that will not decrease anytime soon with the continued exponential increase in technological conveniences. A lot of us work very hard and our minds and bodies are begging for just a little reprieve, so it seems quite easy to grasp why many simply aren't interested in trying to use what little bit of extra time and energy they have to be up to date on every topic or get involved with some grass roots campaign to make whatever change is being sought.
Most of us here in orange county California are conservative. Red dot in a blue sea. So when I move to a different state just know I'm here to be a part of the community and assimilate
I have the same story but was from upstate NY. Left and moved south when I was 18. Caught a little bit of flack for being a Yankee at first but once they knew I was just like them but without the southern accent, the community was very accepting. No one in conservative states mind when someone from CA or NY moves there, as long as they don’t try and bring the crap with them. So you will do just fine. Love to have another patriot in NC!
You might find you’re actually more conservative than most in red states. That’s what happened to me. Many people are more religious but they really don’t care as much about political stuff as we’re told.
This is great hearing Shawn speak. I listen to his podcast but almost better hearing him be the one interviewed. He’s been a point man on information warfare imo.
