I know how you feel, l've seen this so many times. I'm a 58 year old veteran and it wrings every emotion out of a person. Anger, indignation, laughter and tears. Between the music and Morgan Freeman narration, it's fantastic a classic movie.
Seriously lol. Glad I got to watch it. I'd missed it for so many years but caught it at 37. Feels good that it really spoke to me. If I'm comparing all these movies I'm going to watch, it's gonna be a tough one to beat.
Only found your content via an algorithm from loving so many excellent reactions to excellent movies. I really dig your vibe, and your appreciation for good and beautiful art. And oh shit you just started singing “Freedom” - George Michael is my forever love. Looks like I’ll have to subscribe!! ❤❤❤ THANK YOU so much for sharing. Cheers!!
@@theotothefuture Please do! I’m right behind ya. Looking forward to looking back (that’s probably the first time I’ve ever said that lol) at your content from the past couple years. Not sure if you take requests on this platform but one of my absolute favorites for which I’ve never seen one reaction is called In America. It’s very touching and just wonderful. Regardless of whether you take that & run with it, I’m still stoked to see more of your content. Be well, mister!
@brendahuggins2253 this means a lot to mean, especially since this was the first movie I watched and is still my favorite so far. Thanks a lot! ❤️🙏🏾👊🏾 I STILL think about this movie weekly.
This may have been adapted for the screen by Darabont but it is based on a novella written by Stephen King. It is my #1 movie of all time. Really enjoyed your reaction.
@@theotothefuture The Green Mile may be on your list of 100 best movies. It is a drama not a horror movie based on a novel written by Stephen King also. Frank Darabont also wrote the screenplay and directed the movie. It stars Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan. Outstanding movie.
Yo, thank you very much, Stevie. I appreciate it! Sorry about the volume. Someone said it was too low. I've check it out and totally agree. I'll try to make the next ones better 👊🏾🔥
I thought the volume was okay. A litter louder would be good, but not a game changer. This is a reaction video. If you've seen the movie, you know what's going on. Thank you, though for wanting to improve your craft. I love this movie.
The short story ends with Red on the bus (“I hope…”) because it leaves us, the readers, with that same hope. But the filmmakers decided that we deserved to see Red reunite with his best friend, after all we’ve seem them go through. Is the original ending better? I think so, but I don’t care; I love seeing the two of them find each other again.
If you never shower again in your life, you'll be in the company of Janet Leigh one of the stars in the movie Psycho (1960). Her character gets shredded in the shower by a butcher knife in the hands of a batshit crazy old lady. Leigh was so freaked by being in that scene, she took only baths for the rest of her life. Damn good movie, a classic which I recommend.
All reactors that speak of Hadley beating the tar out of Boggs believe he did so because of Andy helping Hadley with the inheritance. In my observations Hadley is too big of an @$$ to look out for any inmate no matter what they've done for him. I believe the warden already had plans for Andy and told Hadley to remove Boggs (and the rest of the Sisters via fear) from the equation.
@nchw68 lol I wish. I friend got that for me a while ago. I love it. And nice observation. The warden was probably just trying to preverse his golden boy. Thats wild.
Hey, I like your sense of humor, but if you are going to play the movie volume THAT quietly, you need to lower your own volume by 600% or not speak at all. But your reactions are INSANELY FUNNY!!! So increase the movie volume! 😃 👍 😉 Keep up the great work man. Best eishes.
Much appreciated! For the feedback and kind words. This was my first movie reaction. I've done a couple more since. If you could let me know if the volume has improved in the newer ones, that'd be awesome. Still fine tuning this process. Much love 👊🏾🔥
I was absolutely BLOWN away. It's gonna be hard for the other movies on my list to top this one. It's been a week and a bit since I made this video, and I still think about this film and Andy's personality everyday. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Oh man. That leech scene traumatized me when I was a kid lol. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up to be on this bucket list of movies. (I try not to look at the list so I can be surprised)
Andy is the savior. The guys at the table are his disciples. He has challenges to prove himself, builds the library, gets the guys some beers, educates the young guy. Brooks couldn’t follow Andy’s message of hope and got lost once he crossed over. Red was able to follow Andy’s word (literally re: the letter) and ended up sharing the afterlife in paradise with Andy, his savior. The Bible was on exodus when the warden opened it. The warden was the devil, or a false prophet, something. Evil masquerading as good. The word came back to bite him and his henchman at the end. Just a thought I had about the movie once when I was high.
Lol all those thoughts are legit!! Poor frikken Brooks, maaaaan. Maybe he was too old and stuck in his ways to make the shift or see that hope. Fortunately, it wasn't too late for Red.
@@theotothefuture A point to be made about the movie's title; Andy is the main character, but it is Red's Redemption. Andy didn't commit a crime so there was nothing to redeem. Red did commit a horrible crime by sabotaging the brakes on his wife's car to collect a large life insurance policy she had come into. Ended up killing the neighbor and the neighbor's child due to brakes failing. Red found this redemption after Andy escaped prison, Red finally accepted responsibility for his actions, voiced his sincere regret/remorse for the horrible crime he committed, said let's cut the bullshit to the parole board, and gained his freedom / redemption.
I can see why you only have 366 subscribers. 10 seconds of film, then your face talking for 2-3 minutes. Another 10-15 seconds of film, then your face talking, and talking, and talking, and talking. Your reactions are 90% all about YOU, 10% the movie.
Hey at least you tried buddy boy. Go watch this channel instead... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Tn6wgn3DpM.htmlsi=s4WABn6H8GT_bX3Z 👋🏾
I could only stand watching this dude for about 15 min. Til I realized he laughs at just about everything. Andy murdering his wife, Andy getting convicted, the sisters attacking Andy in the shower, etc.. are all apparent comedic scenes to this guy. Just got too annoying. Not a comedy bra. Thumbs down. Couldn’t even keep watching.
Well, u tried. Maybe this person is more your speed.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_vjT-xIfw2U.htmlsi=Xe9ZUYXfbp0oJ1sN Good luck finding a video you actually like watching 👋🏾✌🏾
This reactor would most likely laugh throughout "The Green Mile," too! Word of advice, Theo: you'll get more LIKES if you make a FEW reactions and statements, listen more to the screenwriter's work, get all the verbal clues, and watch for visual cues and hints as to what's going on ... instead of doing your own voiceover to the film.
