How wide? I went shoeless for a few years in my 20s and it made my feet very very wide. I have to wear Crocs most of the time because I can’t find shoes that fit my feet anymore

I grew up in a black suburb. New Balance was a casual shoe. If you were out running errands or something they were shoes that were easy to keep clean. I never saw anyone beat up for wearing them. I did see people walking home in their socks from wearing a pair of J’s and not being able to keep them. By all means if your are into paying too much for nikes, who was a major contributor to the death of the local skate shop, Nike didn’t allow skate shops to pick the Nike SBs they got. If you lived in a place where the shoes didn’t sellout quick enough your shop got bad color ways and unpopular sizes. The skate shops still had to pay Nike an invoice for being saddled with unsellable shoes. There is also the whole child labor human exploitation thing with Nike. I have been skating for 21 years. New Balance are the most durable skate shoes I’ve ever worn. Skate shoes should always be suede and should always have a gum sole. Even though they are Massachusetts based Bmore has a lot of love for New Balance. They made an orioles color way for our shop Vu.
