Imagine winning one of the biggest marathons in the world on your debut, and in a pair of shoes that no one had ever heard of before.
Well that is what Sharon Lokedi did last year at the New York City Marathon and now we have got our hands on a pair of them, the; Under Armour’s Flow Velociti Elite. Andy took them out to see if they can make you faster on race day.

2.23.23 😱 what a time for your debut. Wish I watched this live. I'll watch over the weekend. The shoes look amazing, been so close to buying some new vaporflyes but now seeing these has made my choice alot harder.

Amazing winning time of 2:23:23. I really liked this shoe report, from the detailed description of the construction to the subjective impression while running at difference paces. I usually avoid ads, but informative ones like this, which include comments from various people including Sharon Lokedi herself, are an exception.

Sharon's winning time at 2022 NY Marathon was 2:23:23. The development process of the shoe is impressive, however it is the combination of the best equipment and the best athlete that has created this success. Kudos to Sharon, kudos to the coach!

Very excited about them. Um, I’ve tested and ran a little bit in the irregular flow and velocity went and a lot of the technology for how your foot is wrapped into there is is in that. That’s also a great shoe same thing no rubber underneath and it’s a great show. Oh, so yeah, I got a marathon coming up in September it might be on my foot who knows I love to win it

Sharon Lokedi, clocking in a 2:23:23, and from the video interview you can see how excited and genuinely happy she is. Is this something that you could imagine doing more often, interviews with pro athletes? I kind of feel they would be more willing and more open to share with you guys, with people from the same field that they already share a passion with, than with the majority of regular news reporters.

Is it wider in the midfoot than the Nike and adidas race shoes? I struggle with all carbon shoes thus far because of my fallen arches. They just don’t have enough room in the midfoot for my feet, which causes pain and bruising. Are these typically narrow, or more room?

Geez I guess couldn't finish 42.2 km without lots of walking not even think of doing it fast so Sharons Lokedi time is otherworldly. Sharon is so lively and lovely and humble, a trait I highly cherish. Stephen Scullion does nice vlogs abuut his traeaeaenin' for Paris 2024 but man I really had such a hard time geeetin' used to his accent as a non-native English speaker but relieved that even the auto-CC threw their hands up at times hurling nonsense at me. Many a rewind later I actually came to like his accent! Keep it up, the both of you!

Winning time ofn2 hrs. 23min 23 sec. Amazing with the stability you talk about these interest me. I find the vapourflys to unstable for long distances (above 10k) with my pronation. These may be the super shoe for me

2:23:23 is amazing it’s so far away from my own pace that I can’t quite comprehend how it’s possible to run at that pace for that time! I think super shoes have their place but I wonder how relevant they are to 90% (a guess) of the audience who are maybe striving to just complete a marathon?
