I like it for the reasons you mentioned. Only dislike is the bottom of the visor. If you have it opened a few clicks for air, the bottom of the visor gets in the way of your view when looking down at the dash.
Currently have an RF1400. Previously had Arai Quantums. Love the Shoei but a toss up with the Arai. Center lock is weird but very comfortable and quiet.
its ok helmet not very good ventilation on hot day or remooving fog in the morning vents dont work, also glass opening slot located in the middle is very bad spot allways confusing with front went, i notice its not quite helmet to ride in straigt up psition lots buffering but when i move head dawn like on sport bike it becomes quite. i like my Arai better.
I have this helmet. I like it alot BUT when my hair is long its tight and can give me a headache. But I would rather be uncomfortable than have my brains on the floor.
I didn't realize that mine came with a Pinlock, which I still haven't installed, yet. The few times I used it, it fogged up a lot, so I switched back to my 1100 or 1200 (forget which), and then discovered the Pinlock in the box. The reason I chose it was because it was designed and manufactured to an even higher standard than DOT and Snell - the name escapes me, but I think the standard was more specifically for racing. Although the same size as my previous Shoei, the RF-1400 seems to be a bit cozier, but not a problem.
@@RemboUSMC Longer front to back, is it also more narrow side to side? I have tried NXR2 size M and while it is good size overall I would like it to be more narrow. Size S is too small and cant put it on.
