Super envious of Geoff, my first job was as an under keeper on an 8000achre estate in Surry/Kent but unfortunately got used, all I ever wanted to do was work outdoors! I feel very happy that I was able to experience the life and sad that things didn't work out, miss the shooting which I haven't done in many many years!
I do look forward to my Tuesday mornings [New Zealand] when I get my fix of UK hunting and shooting and this show rarely disappoints- keep it up Geoff was a good watch!
I always look forward to the new episodes of the Shooting Show. I live in Canada and have a large selection of outdoors television programing to choose from. I would say this show it very near the top as far as quality. Sponsorship is an important facet of producing this type of programing. I don't in any way find it offensive that Mr Carr sits a particular way to display a sponsors product. Compared to the drivel produced on this continent which ultimately is nothing more than a half hour commercial for kit. I appreciate the ethics and morals and sense of tradition portrayed by the UK sportsman on the show. Even though I can hunt anywhere in Canada for a wide variety of big game, I would love to visit and hunt with anyone featured on this show. Very well done, thank you and continued success. Doug
I have to say that I wish Geoff Garrod the best of luck in his life's journey. It's not often that you meet a person who is clearly at peace with himself , his family and his chosen profession. If I lived nearby,..I would like to treat him to a pint or two at his favorite pub.Cheers!
Dearest Jane and Ausfoxhunter you have both become borderline trolls. I am all for listening to opinion but I won't have swearing because kids watch the show. Negativity for negativities sake is simply boring. We provide a free Shooting Show for like minded people to watch and enjoy, all suggestions are considered. Perhaps you should look at the positives for a change. The Shooting Show seems to appeal to most as subs and views are doing very well indeed, and as far as Sporting Rifle goes subscriptions and shelf sales are also doing very well too. I report things fairly and tell it as it is - the CIC UK leaders are incompetent and their head measurer dishonest, their latest Troubridge trophy record claim is ambiguous - all honest reported fact. Sponsors are absolutely necessary to produce a regular quality production and all products are vetted by experts in the field before we decide to commit to any sponsorship. All of our sponsors kit we use in the show is tip top and more than fit for purpose. I know this because I use it personally and the kit as I have said is vetted by other industry professionals. This show is for like minded sportsman with good sporting ethics, not trolls. Please prove me wrong as I rather like your banter, and Jane I am doing my best to get more women appear on the show. All the very best, Pete
Also Peter, you need to be a bit more 'contrite' in your presentation. Don't abuse the soap box you stand on. Just because you wear & use the free kit does not make you the benchmark! In the norm stalkers/professional hunters are individuals. I have never seen cloned stalkers until I watched Team Wild TV or the Shooting Show! Therefore on a positive note maybe a little more freestyling on the kit? Because you wouldn't like to end up like Tescos? Love Jane
