In this short video series we are looking at drummers who know how to play a fill that works. Lesson presented by Drum Program Chair at Musicians Institute (Hollywood CA), Stewart Jean. www.mi.edu
Excellent video! Love the different examples. -Crosstown Traffic is a great example as has been mentioned, though it’s twice as long (is that double barrel. lol) -Surrender by Cheap Trick (single & double are used) -For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton -Woman in Chains - Tears for Fears (big fill into the outro, much more elaborate, but shot gun is inside it) -Easy Lover - Phil Collins uses it again 🤘 -Treasure by Bruno Mars (band figure) And I’m sure many more…
Hey man thanks for the video lesson. The drums sound tight!! Just bit of unsolicited feedback: most drum videos start with people playing an example of the lesson, rather than talking. That catches my ear and keeps me sticking around. It might help hook other people too. Thanks again for working to put this stuff out for the people!!
