Angel and Pentious both ticked all the boxes on the salvation checklist... but you have to die to get to Heaven or Hell in the first place, so it stands to reason that you have to die again to either fall or be redeemed. No, I'd much rather see the Hazbin take on a life of its own, separate from Heaven and Hell yet connected to both, like Purgatory in a sense.

Thats the feeling i got too. She at first didnt believe in it but saw it was helping Angel be happy and stand up for himself. Then she saw Sir Pen die and everyone fight to save Hell so she got invested fully.

It’s so sweet because now it looks like she’s willing to give the hotel a shot - not just for Pentious, but because she knows the hotel and the people there mean a lot to Angel, and we all know how much she cares for her bestie. She’s my favorite character out of the whole cast and I really want to see more of her in Season 2

My guess is its because of Sir Pentius and Angel's love for the hotel made her think about it and change her mind.

You can really feel his self disgust in the line. I'll be shocked if Alastor isn't the ultimate big bad at the end of the series, or at least the pen-ultimate one should some bigger force be behind him.

Yeah, honestly after watching him for a while, it doesn't even register that he's smiling anymore, the subtle bumps in his smile start to subconsciously register as his actual expression. It's really impressive work.

He is constantly smiling but they do an amazing job making you not even notice that. His emotions are very clear in the way they do his expressions.

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to even _imagine_ canon Alastor looking so shaken, unhinged, desperate, and manic all at the same time before this sequence. Sure he still has the vague shape of his normal smile, but his eyebrows creasing, upper lip curling, eyes wildly darting around, subtler yet much more frequent ear movements than have been in the entire show up till now, and of course his hands gripping his face and mussing his hair - that is a man barely hanging onto the last threads of his already questionable sanity. And I kinda love it. Alastor’s such a cool villain. So much about him is shrouded in mystery, he’s charming enough to trick _the audience_ into thinking he can be trusted, and even at a lower power level, his sheer determined _menace_ is enough for him to still prove a threat. I knew I made a wise decision picking him as my favorite character from the pilot, and while Lucifer has almost certainly usurped that spot in the show proper, I have a feeling Al will still be a favorite villain by the show’s end. This Radio Asshole’s come a long way from the little feral gremlin deer he started as circa 2008, and I gotta say, I’m kinda proud of him 🖤📻🦌

The end design of the hotel has a radio room at the top right. It seems they knew he wasn't dead somehow. Also I like that on the opposite side there is an apple room for lucifer

It's all in the way you animate the eyes. The eyes can give you different degrees of emotions based and how low or high the eyebrows/eye lids are. The lower the eye lid, the more tired or empathetic they look. To look shocked or scared you expose the pupils by opening the eye lids and heighten the eye brows like Alistair when he says "constraints of my deal must have a back door". And to come back to Lucifer, the animator basically dropped the eyelids/eyebrows low enough so that the pupil is somewhat covered and a sadish look to the eyebrows. This gives him a feeling of empathy and caring towards her. Just some fun insight for animation!

Like, he has teeth like the cannibals in Cannibal Town and a close friendship with Rosie, plus a backstory that involves him being a cannibal radio presenter. So I think when he was making himself known as the Radio Demon, he was cannibalising those overlord souls, and someone likely defeated him and forced him to stop. Which could be Lilith, but could potentially be Zestial (as he's the only one with a bright green colour scheme and he's one of two overlords confirmed to be older than Alastor (with the other, Camilla, being a close friend of his).

There are tons of frames in the pilot where he isn't smiling. I wonder if they are cannon anymore.

the hotel may have been rebuilt and look amazing but its going to fail just like the old one and with sir pentious in heaven it proves that sinners can be redeemed but their not going to get any more sinners to stay at the hotel because no other sinners in hell want to be redeemed, despite sir pentious being heaven showing proof that sinners can be redeemed charlie is never going to convince heaven and hell that sinners can be redeemed because one charlie and the others don't know that he's in heaven and they probably never will and we know how he got into heaven in the first place but we don't exactly know how a demon can get into heaven once their fully redeemed not even the angels know how it works so they have no proof, hell is full of nonbelievers and they see charlie and what's she's doing is a joke and heaven never listens because heaven is a place of moral depravity and they are too heartless, stubborn and dumb to listen

It's hard to tell for sure on mobile may be easier to see on a bigger screen but razzle looks like he is happy and sad crying at the same time sad for dazzles death happy they got the statue so they are remembered

i don't know why they bother to still keep razzle around because razzle and dazzle are a pair without dazzle it's completely pointless to still keep razzle around they probably should have just killed him off as well

I still love how KeeKee hissed at him when he first came to the hotel, but then warmed up to him by the end. I'm still hoping that the next season will have at least a few moments dedicated to small talk exposition or flashbacks with Sir Pentious in heaven so that we can fill in some of the 5 months we didn't get to see
