The Writers’ Strike of 2023 is the fifth in a series of labor conflicts throughout the history of Hollywood. Nearly fifteen years ago, from November 5, 2007, to February 12, 2008, all 12,000 film and television screenwriters of the WGA went on strike, causing the premature end of several great tv shows, shortening several others, and forecasting television’s struggle for relevancy in the coming decade.
