Day One: After renting a car in Lima, Stephan and I decided to go on a journey from Lima to Cusco which should of taken 20 Hours. That didn't go as planned. This is the Peru they don't show.
10 signs you're watching a Kurt Caz video: 1. Hates seafood *proceeds to eat seafood* 2. “That place looks sketchy… let’s take a look” 3. “Where can I get a haircut?” 4. Enters rough terrain in sandals 5. Swims in closest body of water 6. Befriends random stray doggo 7. “I’m probably gonna get mugged” 8. *insert random Borat quote* 9. “Here’s the AC system that I don’t use… Here’s the TV that I also don’t use” 10. Hates tourists and touristic areas *is a tourist*
My favorite kind of travel vlog videos 😁 I don't like the ones with unnecessary music and drone shots. Raw, real and shows you a side of the country many do not venture to.
This is the normal life in Peru, but it's a kind country, people are very polite and sometimes shy. It's funny to see how foreigners English speakers show the real life in LATAM like it's something "exotic" and a bit "dangerous" but it's not like that all the time. Thank to show this, Peru is good and you're always welcome.
Yes, I'm a Peruvian living in Southern California, people thing Los Angeles like wow, a beautiful City, but, believe me, when you are here, you'll think different. Every single place has a nice side (like in the movies) and a real side
@@greyalien1525 it doesn’t matter if their shitty you always have to treat them like that or you will end up in a worse position then you were in, in the first place
Just discovered your amazing channel Kurt! Bringing back memories , been through Chincha myself with my Peruvian fiancé. Love from the U.K. , vamos Peru 🇵🇪
You guys are definitely the best! I’m from Lima Peru and grew up visiting Chincha with my parents on the weekends. I would like to offer you an apology for the rude police officer that stopped you on the highway. There are so many different ways to treat tourists with respect e.g. speaking Spanish slowly and clear with no attitude including… Btw we all love Crystal & Cuzqueña beer 🍺 keep the hard work and come to visit us again❣️
I see you getting over a million subs. You're so fun to watch. Lots of lovely comments on every video. It's nice to see a real and kind person for a change. Take care and much love 💞❣️
Greetings for England Kurt! Just want to say Thankyou for putting out the vlogs and keep up the hard work, it’s actually really refreshing to see a vlog of something interesting and not just crammed with loads of other shit like the rest the RU-vidrs!💪🏻
Peru is a worth of visiting, thanks for showing us some of the vibrant culture and beautiful geographic places of this Inca country. A tip on Spanish language pronunciation:the consonant "h" is always silent! For instance, hostal, hotel, huesped, hosteleria, hospital, habichuela, hombre, hijo, hija, etc.,you just ignore the "h", it is only for grammar purpose; then you will sound more confident and people will notice that you have some command of their Spanish language. Thank you for your awesome videos! Blessings.
They visited the south coast in the middle of Peru's Winter! That's why all the little shops and restaurants were closed and everything deserted. If you visited in December or January, it would be full of people.
for some reason, i feel like kurt lied when he told the lady he’s scared of the dark so he wants to share a room. i believe he thinks more analytically, such as if they were to get mugged or robbed at some point, having 2 of them in the same room would be safer. (also they’re foreigners, so they’re more at risk)
You passed by an "Anticuchera"!!💖 if you go back to Peru you otta try it without the burning spicy hot sauce. You can appreciate the flavor of the heart meat withouth the hot sauce. There is a marinating technic before the meat is cooked, it's marinated overnight with lots of vinagre, cumin, and other spices. It's the flavor that gets you hooked on it. I saw on the previous video you enjoyed the "causa limeña" the mushed potatoe with a layer of chicken with mayonase...that is very delicious...👍👋
Bro I never get bored of your videos rn I just finished high school and got my diploma and the first RU-vidr I watch is you bro. Keep up the great work and show me/us more amazing content around the world👍
I like your sketchy way of filming, brings a sense of urgency to the video… your friend looks maaad relax in contrast he makes you look hyperactive somehow 🤣
Stays in a love hotel named “Venus” and then complains about the noisy neighbours. Drinks beer in a bum park. Hilarious video! The city of Chincha Alta was great: it reminded me of my time living in Vietnam. I loved these kinds of dodgy little towns there, too.
Hello man Kurt i am Canelón from Venezuela your chanel is very wonderful i studyed tourism and i can learn from your videos a Lot Nice meeting You i Saw your from Venezuela Petare it was also good too thanks very much for that video
This guys videos make me smile they make me feel like I’m going there is experiencing views and the encounters along with them. Kurt is really cool I would love to travel like he does I think I’m gonna try.
the road from Lima to Nazca is amazing. Paracas is also a good place for a rest. Lived in Peru for 8 years. But you have the red lager cusquena. That is my fav beer in Peru. Have a nice time in Peru...I love this country. And If you have time, you should try to go to the choquequirao trail. much better than Machu Picchu. just 4 hours from Cusco - direction to Apurimac. Should start in the Village San Pedro de Cachorra. It is just amazing there. Greetings from Germany and waiting for more vids of my old home ;)
Stayed in Lima for a few days, awesome time. Huge city, huge. We went to a hotel in the city Center, not the tourist area. Our local guide bragged that they had the best Pisco Sours in South America. I had 2-1/2!!!!!!!. Blew my mind,😵💫. It made a triple hit of BC shrooms look like………( lost for words)…….kids stuff. Wild night, great people.
They got pulled over because they were driving in the passing lane on an empty highway, or because they were driving an ATM machine like Jersey Bro said.
Love your videos. You should do a tour of your hometown in South Africa and show us what’s it really like there. Maybe you could visit some of the dodgy places there too.
I came across your videos, because Harold is not consistent on uploading videos. And you are actually interesting to watch, all those sketchy neighborhoods you enter.
Interesting video, fully watched. Have interest to visit Lima and maybe some other places in Peru. Thank you friends. Hope to see always. Greetings from Brazil and Portugal to all!
Tuk tuk is the Thai name for it ตุ๊กตุ๊ก. In India, they are called rickshaws. They got different names depending where you go obviously. Tuk tuk is common cus Thailand is such a common tourist destination.
@@barbd8670 ahh ok. I'm used to RU-vidrs calling them tuktuks in India lol. I thought it was kinda universal. I do recall hearing the rickshaw name at least a couple times.
@@carolward654 Yeah, but Larcomar is like just about any open air shopping mall/food court around the world. If they dropped me into Larcomar and then took off the blindfold, it would be hard for me to tell that I was in Lima, Miami, or Liverpool. Don't you think so?
I’ve been binge watching these videos of beautiful third world locations.. that are already more ‘civilized’ than half of the cities in the US! Love your content Kurt!
Quick info Kurt -Hostels in Peru are more often used to go and have sex, that’s why the music your neighbors were probably getting in the mood 😂. -You need to wear masks out on the streets, the COVID situation in Peru is alarming so you better take care. Enjoy your trip my guy 👍🏼🔥
I travel this way myself as well. I traveled Europe for 3 years and never hit the tourist areas. Im German by blood but American. When I traveled through Germany I always chose the poorer German neighborhoods with kulture stadl skat playing lokals. Much better experience this way.
I actually like this guys videos he motivated me to try to get my life together and travel the world we only live once and we will fevered it when we die when Kurt dies he will be happy he seen the world met so many good ppl 🙌🙏🏽
I had the same experience my first night in Lima. It was so loud I complained and was given another room! I want tome of that Peruvian roasted chicken!
Chincha it’s our black people town, our best soccer player comes from that town..!! Also capital of festejo, Afroperuvian music 🎶 Saludos amigos desde Cuzco 🇵🇪
You guys are bold for eating that salad, it's rinsed with tap water. Gives me the runs every time I'm in 🇵🇪. I hope you enjoyed Cusco, I was there last week and had a blast. I swear I passed by a couple guys that looked like you by Plaza Grande flying a drone 🤔
Smart. I won’t eat most things at restaurants for this reason. Haven’t gone to one in over 7 years actually. Imagine a nice tap water soup, basically every soup at every restaurant, gross af.
This is DEFINITELY the peru I know and love! This is actually what most of peru looks like sadly being that it is a third world country. And there’s probably more dogs than people in the streets of peru LOL they even give them up for adoption for free or as little as 100 soles in the plaza centers of Lima! Thank you for sharing your experience it was nice to see my country as it is and not a sugar coated tourist experience :)
@@jakestevens3788 Because it's a humble and modest place that is filled with culturized and civilized down to earth people who arent materialistic ??? Very cliche answer
When you drove up to a hostal hotel, you got exactly what I expected, anyone in this world knows what type of room you would receive. You made the choice to pick that hostal.
I am in Cusco over 3 weeks and I dont see which hidden side of Peru you wanted to show here? You know that they recently had elections and demonstrations everywhere, so it is common to have police checkings.
