Yeah, sending over troops there is just a waste of supply and men badly needed on the main German front. He loses NOTHING by letting it go and can pretty easily hold back the Japanese just by holding the Urals

@@TitanDarwin thats not an issue, if you actually have any significant industry you need to relocate, you built incorrectly. And if they push you far enough to have the core regions taken. You didn’t defend very well, and moving the industry would be useless

the italian army is not even close to a million at that point, if they lost 500k then the units attacking near the end of the siege wouldve probably been half supplied at maximum they lost like 200k

@@ZephyrTM101 Benelux has a focus that gives +10 entrenchment (lead minor democracy), Soviets have a focus that gives +5 & +5% overall bonus (masters of defense). Grand battle plan gives +10.Find field marshal that's not an advisor and give him entrenchment for +30% and also once they're a level 4 you can pick entrenchment specialist advisor. +3 on lv4 +5 on lv6 and +7 on lv8. Infantry specialist, ambusher +5 from field marshal and another +5 from general. Recon and flame tanks with dozer. +2 was +4 before dozer nerf. Add tank or tank destroyers with dozers, each battalion gives +1 entrenchment. Engineers base +5 and +2 from every research level. I like researching 1942 engineers ahead of time. The 240% might be on initial NSB patch, before dozer nerf. I've only played a few games this month. Also can't remember if generals defense stats add to entrenchment. It might only be 180% now after patch 1.114. But still it's something like 3-4k defense on infantry and 6-7k on mech/tanks.

Is it abuse if it is historically accurate? HOI4 has never properly modeled the conditions of sieges like Stalingrad. I could see volunteer garrisons holding for months against the enemy in the right conditions.

@@crocfighter.1322 True. That being said, there were at most about six hours between each attack there, so the line was constantly shifting and most likely shouldn't have had the time to entrench.

@@jillfizzard1018 it's a gun and it goes on a rail, I know that a rail gun is something different but no one would think I would be referring to the EM gun in the WW2 context, technically rail gun should still correct, and even if it's not correct I wouldn't care the communication was successful as far as it concerns to me, someone would've to have some kind of problem to think I referred to a EM gun for a game about WW2

Those two things are not mutually exclusive

I actually thought I summed up the Belgrade defense pretty well honestly! The French even go "It's been an honor" as our units die in Belgrade. The footage you see in the end is in fact the Axis giving up. I didn't put it in the specific line where they said it, because it would have given the video a bad vibe. Instead I just added us talking about the end of the game essentially.

It's even more accurate because it wasn't a democracy, if the game was accurate and Yugoslavia didn't change ideology the government should have been monarchy
