One small detail about when Aang is in that giant spirit form is that he only ever pushes the water he never pulls it because he's combined with the ocean spirit and it just pushes the water where as the moon spirit pulls the water.
it's been done before. Blind Wave and The Normies did it and those are massive channels. also, LM Reactions did it and they're also big. sure, those eps aired the same day, but it's not a big deal to upload the reactions separately.
I think Yue's character was definitely underdeveloped, but upon a few watches I think the choice to make her and Sokka have this forbidden romance angle is the fact that her choice will always be her people>love/romance. Which is true to her character down to the end.
every single season finale of this show is just the best thing youll see on tv. and they only get better. like everything is so crazy you can barely take a breath during the episode. im glad you liked it so much!!!
I love that the only color after the moon spirit is killed is in the fire, Aang merging with the ocean spirit, and Yue’s eyes, symbolizing the bit of the moon spirit’s life that lives in her.
The art for this show is insane... crazy how every other frame is a masterpiece. And the music OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH the music... excuse me to the bathroom.
Aang wasn't in control when he joined with the Ocean Spirit. It was using his Avatar power. That's why it had no problem killing dozens of Fire Nation soldiers. Yeah, they really should've made the finale a extra episode.
Yeah, I don't think he really mastered water in Book 1. He got competent/good enough. We all know though... **spoiler warning just in case Lindsay is looking** : ...he has his whole life to do so, and it's more about him mastering the Avatar state for the ATLA series' purposes.
Heads up: for some reason this one isn't in the playlist (or maybe it's somewhere later in the list and not in sequence?). Anyway, great reaction! It's been a while since my last rewatch but this time I think I'll catch up to your series and then try the recent live remake. About something Carson mentioned, the ocean doesn't cause its own tides, it's the moon that does that (hence their pairing). So removing the ocean spirit would probably make the oceans disappear (transferring the logic of no moon spirit = no moon). I'm guessing freshwater would also dwindle by not being replenished with rain.
This post has personal speculation and things I noticed in the episode, please proceed with caution. Additionally, loved the reaction and discussion! I’m excited to see the next season with The Bold Cast! First the observation, the Moon Spirit was pull and the Ocean Spirit was push, when the Aang/Ocean Spirit combo only pushed water away from them, great thing to note! Second, with all of the rage we see from the “water mech,” how it looks to the spy when the moon returns, they way it takes the admiral, and the way Aang disappears and appears into and out of the spirit, I think that Aang was purely being a conduit for the Ocean Spirit to take a more physical form, and Aang not controlling any actions during that time.
Really enjoying these reactions. Just a heads up, this episode (20) and episode 16 of your reactions don't seem to be on the playlist your avatar playlist.
I always imagined they were at the north pole for a while, with katara becoming good enough to truly teach aang, so while I get the screen time seems rushed, I think Sokka and Yue spent plenty of time together
Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys will do a discussion after you finish the show maybe? Or actually I was wondering when you guys will do a discussion podcast in general again? I think the last big one was for Hunter x Hunter if I remember correctly.
Perhaps I think it would be a good idea, but it depends if Lindsay wants to do one for this show For other shows, yeah we’ll do them at some point, but no immediate plans
There was this theory that Yue is supposed to be the next Avatar if Aang wouldn't have ran away. After an Aang, from the Air Nomad, the next Avatar would have been from the Water Tribe.
I always thought Katara would've been there for that purpose. She was so strong, she found Aang which woke him, and she catches on to techniques so easily. Later she does some things that even make it more likely. No spoilers.
@@BOLDcast I assumed you did, but obviously you couldn't say anything. I love the foreshadowing, also the callback to ep 1 where Iroh told Zuko to rest and he refused.
