@@ivandunn1334 ive heard this and i have to say it doesn’t make a-lot of sense. Its more likely the word is related to the word Creole which usually refers to a people of Mixed African and Non African culture/ Heritage. The same thing happens in Haiti …Creole = Kreyol or Belize where Creole = Kriol . The pattern is the same insofar as the name changes spelling to suit the local pronunciation
