The majority of the footage was either lost or severely damaged. The remaining footage has been used to reconstruct the events leading up to the fateful day. AN ANALOG HORROR APART OF THE ARCADIA SERIES
@@ChillingAbyss I'm a super old nerd, and this video has the best VHS tracking distortion and old computer vibes I've seen in an analog horror. fuckin love it
@@ChillingAbyss I have a bunch of weird old computer shit around, so if you need a pic of spooky cursed VHS and floppy disks and hardware I'll hook you up. save you some trouble with AI fakes
@@ChillingAbyss liking what I've been seeing so far, though someone sending out "NOOOO" as their final message comes off a little funny 😂 Besides that I like the series!
This was immensely horrifying but there’s something lowkey funny about the possibility that they only retaliated because we rejected them. Like they did NOT let that ghosting slide.
That line, that singular line moving just a little too fast, is one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Insanely good work with this. Quickly became my favourite analog horror video, shot straight to the top of the list. Incredibly powerful setup, I loved that your presentation of the alternate world wasn't a typical 'scary' imagery but just something palpably bad - a decrepit, desolate world. Made the very real horror of the "I want what you have" punch so so very hard. You're doing amazing stuff here mate, please keep it up!
"patrick this is the lowest temp we've ever had for a launch! did you manage to do a quality check on the o-ring on the right SRB?" 9:12 "no"
I'm really enjoying the stuff your making, but I just have two small criticisms! I know analog horror tends to go for a bit of low quality video, but it can be REALLY hard to read the text on the screen, which isn't fun for anybody with visual impairment or just. probably people with eyes. Making things a bit easier to read would do wonders! Closed captions that are 100% accurate to whats being said would also be nice :) Other than that- man dude, this stuff is AWESOME. I can't wait to see what you make next!
That was stellar! Really good! You conjured up a setting of such immense scope with such a light hand. I love how quickly they ceased communication with the third universe (almost in instinctive panic) and the implied repercussions of them cutting the signal at the end. The video lost none of it's incremental dread, the atmosphere never felt spent at any point. It began as something unwholesome and unnerving and ended with a properly existentially appalling conclusion.
first you realize and then you cant stop realizing... what an INCREDIBLE high point to this tale! perfectly built up and executed with amazing visuals and sound design
GENUINELY loved how intense that last part was, it made me feel like I was in that experiment absolutely terrified that this inhuman world was gonna connect to ours and make it like their’s.
i almost wonder if the far off universe wasn't evil. i've played enough stellaris to know the most mind boggling terrifying aliens can really be different than your assumptions, so perhaps it was just their laws of reality being different than earths. this would mean that them trying to connect between earth is still dangerous as differing laws of reality mixing can be a very thing.
I remember this about fair folk (fairies) in mythology - You have to be careful when interacting with fairies, even if they’re the ‘seelie’ type who are friendly to humans. Because their interpretation of morality is so alien that you could accidentally offend them even if you aren’t trying to.
We also don't actually know which parallel world is malicious, it's entirely possible the first world contacted is actually malicious and the second one has had experience dealing with them before. Their line shooting out to join it could be the equivilant of someone making a mad dash to stop a toddler from sticking the fork in an electrical outlet.
Absolutely chilling. I adore slow burn, genuine horror and your stuff really scratches the itch! Your work is amazing and I look forward to anything and everything you plan to release in the future!
This is terrifying, they developed the technology to communicate with and travel to other parallel universes which those other universes being of course a parallel version of our own also developed the technology, but unbeknownst to us one of the many parallel universes stumbled upon an evil entity of some sort or perhaps a corrupted parrallel version of themselves that proceeded to invade that universe and began spreading across the multiverse eradicating all life. And as soon as we finally made contact.... They found us and intercepted the bridge we created likely invading both universes at once
This one scared me the most... Parallel universes are a terrifying thought let alone trying to find one... But one thing that puzzled me.. If by sending out a signal we expose another parallel universe? Then why didn't we see the ones revealed at the end all around us send a signal out also?? Why just the first one? Idk
I like the Lovecraft feel here. Big fan of H.P. Lovecraft and his works. And this gives one that kind of feels here. The images give it away even though we don't see the last one. It gives a clear idea of why they cut it off. The images give an idea of the horror world it is. Just something very unnatural about it all. The trees are the first to give it away. Follow by the blob thing that is their idea of a dog. The last one it looks like a skeleton. Another thing that gives off something wrong, is that they ask if they are human. My best guess is that they are not the first to contact them. And their own tunnel network that connected into the other one. But at the same time they could of been trying to warn them. Of the dangers of doing what they are doing. Kind of reminds of this little horror story about getting a single from an alien race. it simply says. "Be quite or they will hear you."
So what would have happened if the connection wasn't interrupted by (I assume) trying to destroy the machine? If the two "good" worlds connected, would the malicious world still have been able to hijack the signal?
A Loose communication between universes, sounds very cool, with them exchanging their history and nature and see what the differences are. Of course, it can be dangerous, like what this video shows.
Adam labs then "loading Eve" wild how its lost on so many folks that much of anslog horror lore is biblically based. Almost like someones trying to reach out to the younger generations. I hope itd the right light side.
