Also you get always max 12 shards on the back of the dragons. Its a good way to check if you got all shards. You just look how many you have before looting them
One thing that is very cool about using the dragon body parts as weapons is that if your weapon is about to break, you can take it to Tarrey Town, de-fuse it and then fuse the dragon body part with a brand new weapon. That way you dont lose it.
@pkmheroNelson Yeah if you let one of the rock octos suck in your weapons or shoeld or bow they will fully repair it and apply a random buff. Do know this will chanhe your buff sometimes if you already have a yellow buff
The light roots have the exact same position as shrines on the surface. You’ll even notice that the light roots name is the shrines named spelled backwards.
tldr: naydra - scope from mount lanayru tower or sahasra slope tower, if it's in the depths camp by naydra snowfields chasm, it'll fly from there to the east hill chasm dinraal - scope from ulri mountain tower or typhlo ruins tower, if it's in the depths camp by east akkala plains chasm, it'll fly from there to the drennan highlands chasm farosh - scope from gerudo canyon tower or popla foothills tower, if it's in the depths camp by east gerudo chasm, it'll fly from there to hills of baumer chasm light dragon - flies clockwise around the map, doesn't enter chasms. if you haven't pulled the master sword yet, use the quest marker as a tracker
there's no set time but for each dragon to do a full loop it's: naydra - 28 minutes dinraal - 48 minutes farosh - 30 minutes for the light dragon it's about 2 hours
@@wqfled No, but fangs and claws are a bit trickier to get. Horns and scales and shards are easiest You can get fangs and claws before they shoot off, but its a challenge, and if you don't you'll have to either ditch it and wait ten minutes, or dive down and collect it and then try to get back onto them I just had this happen with Farosh in the Depths, which made it harder to get back onto her due to the lack of areas high enough in her path
@@DinkLink in totk is much easier to climb back on the dragon, you can either go to a close by tower or simply fuse a rocket to your shield and fly over to him again.
Got on to my first Dragon last night...between the music and how I got a ride out of the depths into the sky...it was one of the best gaming experiences of my life
I felt this. I stumbled upon each dragon in the past 4 days, & the first one I rode (ice) was so beautiful omg. Once I got over the jitters of getting the mechanics down, I enjoyed sitting on her waiting for the 10 min respawn to glow again. 10/10 fav thing in-game so far!
For those of you with the master sword, the light dragon is most of the time always near a sky view tower (although having Tulins vow helps a lot). Thank goodness nintendo was merciful for once.
@@SylverScourge I spent my time on clash or other mobile games while a I was waiting it doesn’t help and isn’t immersive but it is efficient. Ngl once I get a copy of each I just do the dupe glitch since I’m not wasting my time on dragons. This limits to 40 minutes per dragon without fuckups.
It's Worth mentioning that you do have a few seconds to grab the dragon materials, like the talons or fangs, before they fall. So if you don't want to fall off, you can attempt to use the gust of wind to jump down, grab the material, then paraglide back on top
All 3 elemental dragons are resemble animals, the light dragon on the outher hand resembles a bird, it also has a beak, that's why its called a talon. This is also why it Flys fare higher then outher dragons. Even though the eyes are creepy and lack focus, and they move independent from each outher.
Hey this guide helped me a lot I couldn’t really figure out the path of the dragons. What you could have added is what order to obtain the items by difficulty. From easy to hard: shard, scale, horn, tooth, claw. Get the claw last because that one moves around the most once you hit it and you might have to follow it off the dragon.
Hopefully someone releases a more efficient and consistent farming technique, because I rarely see any articles mention what times they come out, and I REALLY don't want to be waste 10-30 minutes just WAITING for the fuckin dragon to show up.
There are a couple things to correct and add here: 1) You actually don't need to put your weapons away while riding Farosh if you have the Lightning Helm, as you will be shockproof. 2) Even if you have will not take cold damage, you can still become frozen if you get hit by the ice balls coming off the front of Naydra, likewise unless you are fireproof, you can get set on fire even if you are safe from "unbearable heat" and you can get shocked even if you have shock resistance. 3) There is another danger from Farosh, and that is simply slipping off due to rain, as storms follow Farosh around everywhere above ground, and that includes not just lightning, but the rain as well. So for Naydra, I recommend either the twice upgraded rito set, or Zant Helm+any rito+fireshield or any 2 rito. For Dinraal, I recommend ALL 3 twice upgraded pieces of the Flamebreaker set. For Farosh, I recommend the lightning helm with the froggy chest and leggings, as well as a fire and/or cold shield to help deal with weather conditions for that one stretch near the gerudo area. Light dragon is recommended to have a flame shield with one cold resistant armor and two heat resistant armors, or a cold shield with one heat resistant and two cold resistant. With those, you can go completely afk with an alarm set for each 10 minute interval.
In terms of fuse material, I suggest Gleeok Horns over any dragon part (excluding Light Dragon parts) since their elemental effect never goes on cooldown and their fuse damage bonus is higher.
The problem with gleeok horns are their range reduction. The horn will become the blade of whatever weapon it is fused to(including the Master Sword)drastically reducing the range of swords, clubs, and 2 handed weapons. It can only be used on a practical basis with spear weapons. Even with those, it can slightly reduce the range of the base weapon used.
I know I’m late but nah, you’re wrong, gleeok horns have the same range, you just can’t really see it before you attack. The elemental effect that emits from the horn that isn’t the elemental damage itself counts as being the sword, so it has the same range as any other weapon
I doing the dupe glitch for my extra dragon stuff (for food mostly) but this video is still extremely useful to me, especially the Light Dragon part because I had no idea where exactly to find and how to best approach acquiring dragon parts, so thanks a lot. Very easy to follow!
You can stand on the dragons?? I remember being so disappointed that you couldn't do this in BotW, so I didn't even bother trying this time around (except the light dragon)
For fangs, if you wait until they're heading up a chasm, just stand on their nose, like between the nostrils facing the mouth, bop them with your sword and the fang should pop right in front of you. No jumping or gliding required. Haven't tested on light dragon yet, because no chasms.
I was able to get the scale from Farosh that I needed because as i was looking over Gerudo Desert the dragon song started playing. Looked up and there he was. Anyone else love that song? So relaxing imo. Stumbled on the light dragon while trying to figure out how to get to a sky island with a dispenser on it. Immediately saved and after a couple of reloads i was able to build something that got me to her. Anyway, thank you for this! Havent been able to find Naydra or Dinraal and wasnt sure where to start.
Tip for dragon farming grab the fang claw horn scale or whatever before you get the spike shards cause the spike shards glow no matter what and if the dragon isn’t glowy you can’t see the spikes better
i recommend shooting first and then collect the shards. since the dragon stops glowing after offering its 1 time item and you can easily spot the shards as they keep glowing
Really depends on where you start. If you land on the tail mind as well collect em on the way to the horn since they’re not that hard to see. If you land near the head yeah gives you something to do while you wait
If u want to use glitches (completely optional) u can use the shield surfing dupe method to dupe the dragon parts after getting just 1 of the dragon parts, or u can use the bow fuse duping method but the shield surfing is faster and theres no timing in it
@@ecmyk7863 this glitch got discovered after the shield surf, but shield surf actually dupes faster but if the item is not last item, then u will lose some other items
@@penguugaming6160 You won't lose items if you know how to execute the glitch optimally. If you're about to run out of whatever is to the right of what you're cloning, dump that stuff on the floor, collect it to make it the last item in your inventory and dupe that. Get a respectful amount and resort your inventory after to go back to cloning your OG item.
I would rather use the full Snow Quill / Flamebreaker armor, because they're easy to get, you just need to buy them from shops and the bonus for wearing the full armor grantes you elemental immunity, meaning you won't get hurt from ice and fire.
I’ve hit two dragons in the lower jaw and gotten their scales instead of fang shards. I wish the mouth in general just did fang shards, guess I’ll have to wait and try again. This video was helpful though so thanks a bunch!
@@woops9076 Spoiler for botw and totk like botw Zelda held back calamity ganon for 100 years so she saved hyule which in my opinion is more important than repairing the master sword
For the Light Dragon you will be required to be on that dragon for 1 HOUR and 20 minutes to get all the necessary dragon parts just to upgrade the Champions Tunic to level 4. If you dont f*** up and fall off and dont hit the wrong part. 4 part *(not including scales)*
I am simply here to state I have successfully took a picture on the nose on every dragon’s nose (Spoilers for final boss but let’s be real if you haven’t beaten ganon r u rly bothered?) I got the easy ones down, Farosh, Naydra etc. and I was scrolling through my photos trying to track down a water buffalo and I was like, wait… I missed the Demon Dragon! A quick boss fight later I was on the nose of the dragon and trying to get my camera open, the thing is, the game kept kicking me out of the camera so I couldn’t pose but I got a lovely photo of up its nose and their eyes, good times
6:30 you need only one item for heatproff (PhillyBeatzU had ruby shield on, that's why he needed 2, if you put sapphier, you will have much lower tempreture, so basicaly sapphire is a reverse ruby)
I got the master sword and didn't know about the ten minute refresh so left after one scale. Now I can't find the dragon again for the life of me despite trying the clockwise route
I'm having issues with the light dragon... it's flying WWAAAYYY up there in the sky (like, at least 1km above the sky islands). Even flying machines with a bunch of batteries aren't enough to reach it. I already pulled the Master Sword so the Deku Tree quest is a bust for me (it auto completed when I saved the tree). The only time I was able to reach the dragon (and thus pulling the Master Sword) was in the end of the 12th memory tear. The dragon was so low, I could reach it from a simple sky island. But now, as I said, it's back to being sky-high. Heck, Ozone-high!
I'd suggest grabbing all of the Zonaite Armor pieces and crafting the flying machine with two fans and a controller. I'd also dupe a ton of large zonaite ore, going to each mine in the depths and buying all the fragments down there. There's 5 in each location, at 3 ores a piece and they give you 20 charges a piece. So each mine grants 100 charges, enough for one single cell. To help with math, it takes 45 large zonaite ore to get one full battery. To respawn the shops, just go sleep :)
You need to do a quest to make her fly lower. Specifically, one in Korok Forest, inside the deku tree. Godspeed if you go for that. Alternatively, there’s a brief window after you collect all the dragon’s tear memories where she’ll be low enough to hop on (from ulri mountain tower). Do all your farming then. Otherwise, good luck reaching her without lowering her in any way. It’s definitely possible, but not really easy.
False alarm. It seems that the solution was to verbally complain on youtube. Literally the next day (today) it flew at a much more normal height and I found it (and boarded it) like 3 times. Tracking it is a pain, though.
No, they don't show up in a set area based on time of day They follow a path that runs on real time and will loop so long as the game is unpaused and not in dialogue or cutscenes
My way: 1. Check if dragon is in the surface then i use sky view tower to approach the dragon. 2. If dragon is not in the surface then it is in the depth. I go to the depth with the way is reverse way of dragon. 3. Use the campfire to skip day then repeat 1.
Just so you guys know if my experiments the dragons usually drop 12 spikes at a time of course you have to leave for them to Spond back but that’s how many there are
Word of the wise: I was farming the light dragon, until I realized that Aerocuda’s (those pterodactyl things) will be waiting for you. So walking from the game will be a bad idea cause you will likely be pushed off the dragon, and fall to your death. And don’t make the same assumption I did. For some stupid ass reason, Majora’s mask does NOT work with them. Still came back to a game over screen with that on. Basically, you HAVE to be at your controller or you’d l be playing a dangerous game. Still grinding while writing this. It’s actually insufferable. The fact Nintendo thought a 10 minute cooldown was acceptable is astonishing and insane to me. The worst part of this amazing game tbh
SPOILER ALERT . . . . . . Zelda: Link, would you mind explaining why were you constantly shooting arrows at me when I was a dragon? 😒 Link: Um... Acupuncture? 😅🤷♂️
You know how good a game is when you just don't care about time... It's just, ok, no dragon flying around, let me kill these lizards and harvest some fruits.
@@joeschof_95 It kinda does when it is literally the reason you know the "dragon's" exact location to find her for farming purposes. This is such a dumb petty thing to be upset about.
@@MihaelLawliet01 i think my guy just wanted a spoiler warning, and he probably did what i did, I got the fierce deity armor and wanted to upgrade it before going to lost woods and getting the master sword quest and I didnt realize the light dragon was gonna be in the video lol
@@bell8568 In my first couple hours of gaming, I managed to land on the light dragon, and I saw the sword on his head, tried to take it (of course, to no avail), and just after seeing that it was stuck that I realized it was the Master Sword.
SPOILER The funniest part of taking material from the light dragon is that you're technically attacking Zelda to farm the equivalent to her scabs, nails, and hair
Yeah fangs too I didn't think of it either but to upgrade an outfit they asked for a dragon's fangs and I was like "wait what?", I'm pretty sure they weren't a thing in Botw
spoiler free but help me out.... on the *** dragon i found something that we all know what...... did i find it before I was supposted to?? i kinda dont want to ruin it XD (i've been just going around I'vent done anything from the story) should i get it or leave it for future story things
The light dragon guide wasn't helpful at all to be honest. I already pulled the sword out and its said that now the dragon flies much lower. But how to catch it? Where can I find it? What's the best spot?
Oke someone please help me. I have been trying for so long. I can only farm the shards. The other items are not lighting up? What am i doing wrong? Because i am doing everything right in the video's i think. Thx !!
I have bad megalophobia (fear or large creatures) so I hate going near dragons. Even seeing them far off in the distance makes my hands sweaty so flying close to them or standing on them makes me so uncomfortable
Bro I feel your pain. I have apiaphobia, (fear of bees) and lemme tell you, I have no courser bee honey in my inventory, and I don’t plan to have any, any time soon 💀
i cannot get the claws for the life of me, they always fall down in the opposite direction i am at and then evaporate. any help on that or am i just bad
