We have alot more people to deal with. This makes appreciable change hard to come by and differences multiply. We have 1/4 th of Switzerland total population just in our jail system. Some of our cities have a higher population than entire European countries. For instance, NYC has about the same population as Switzerland. So we are not comparing apples to apples here. If you take into account the rest of even just NY state. The state of NY has more than double the population at about 19m to Switzerlands 8m So if you really want to compare apples to apples, most European countries should be compared to about half of one of our states. So a fair comparison would be The Hudson River Valley NY compared to Switzerland. Even tho that is still alot more people than Switzerland... maybe just within a nuke strike of NYC. This is like comparing getting your family to decide on a place to eat for the night vs walking into a Gas station and getting everyone there to follow you to your favorite place to eat. Europe is smol and has similar values with their citizens. Usa Is big and has a melting pot of values.
