@@Foebane72 he’s ten, he just thinks he has authority. when it comes to siblings the older one only has authority if the parents aren’t around (which isn’t even the case in the Simpsons household lmao)
To get Homer, Marge, and Bart on the same side? That actually is quite an achievement. You know your opinion is unpopular when all three of them agree on something against you.
How long before we get an episode about a Malibu Stacy movie that is so bad it cheapens all movies ever just by existing, and it is so bad that even Lisa doesn't like it and gets called a sellout by her female friends pointing out why it is bad? Oh wait, they already did that with the talking doll!
This is such a refreshing departure from the usual Marge-Homer-Lisa interaction that it's actually really funny. And Marge was the one who got the ball rolling.
But at least Lisa was being annoying. I don't drink but I don't see why others shouldn't. There's a difference between casual drinking and getting drunk.
@@kerryappleton7843 Well sometimes she is simply pedantic and controlling. Also "its the law" is an retarded argument. Every law should be questioned if it truly adds good to society. Heck. The USA were created based on the breaking of a law that would force them to pay more taxes.
@@ryukomatoi592 She's often correct in what she says and does. When others on the show do something stupid she tells them not to, they do it anyway, they get in trouble, Lisa gets vindicated.
Actually Homer thought I was $12, 000. God only knows what happened when he found out it was actually 12 million. I probably would have kicked her out of the house and disowned her
She was a Second wave feminist in high school during the 1970s. The third wave that normalized all the cringe we are seeing now started right around the time this show first came on the air.
I agree, no new Malibu Stacey for you Lisa, you see they only buy nice things if you wanted the money Lisa but since you do not want any that is your choice.
Homer: Family over a silly law Bart: Family over a silly law Marge: Family over a silly law Maggie: Family over a silly law Lisa: Silly law over family
@@humankinglobetard3000 Sometimes Marge would agree with Homer's antics. She agreed with Homer trying to get more millions in the Tomacco episode, but that backfired big time..
Weird how it doesn't really chime with Lisa's character in other episodes- Lisa wouldn't usually make the argument of 'the law should never be broken even for personal morality,' since that isn't her view of authority in any other episodes!
The difference here is alcohol is bad for you and i would think Lisa understands its negative effects on society very well. She has to deal with her alcoholic dad every day.
Thev funny thing is you'd think that Lisa of all people would have known how unproductive prohibition was in terms of 'protecting' people from vice and the consequences from it. Marge being for the plan the whole time was beautiful. 😂
Everything about this scene is hilarious, Homer begging for mercy at first, Marge actually congratulating Homer on this scheme, the annoyed look Marge had on her face when Lisa started talking, oh yeah and Bart joining in😂
Then why would it be illegal? I never get that logic, I mean most age of consent laws are 18 but it's legal for a 16 year old to drive and get a job, ok fair nothing wrong with it since they can be trusted. However technically it's not illegal for someone who is 30 to date an 18 yr old but I'm sure you'd agree that is creepy and should be changed much high than that.
Doesn't really apply to drinking. We've seen its negative effects on society. Take one look at Russia and their chronic alcohol problem. Better hope that doesn't happen to you. Alcoholism is a nightmare hole to be stuck in.
She has been proven wrong about so many things. It is embarrassing that anybody defends her behavior. She's an authoritarian, a bully, and a hypocrite.
