Fun Fact: That's Gregg Berger filling in for Kelsey Grammer. Infact the former got "special thanks" credit in the final film. He fills in for Grammer during table reads & temp recordings whenever Kelsey is unavailable. The Simpsons crew mention this in the dvd commentary for the episode "Cape Feare".
One is not enought to hold homer, two will break when homer falls, three will make homer gasp, before they break, four will make him suffocate slowly and five will break his neck.
He actually had an opportunity here, considering that the mob was actually going to hang the whole family in spite of their claims of killing just Homer
I feel like that would have resulted in people expecting more from Bob during the escape scene though. Plus I can’t see Bob seeing the family escape and just letting them get away, he would have found a way out and tracked them to Alaska somehow
@@Attmayi think it was moreso bc general audiences might not recognise him. sure he's an iconic character but some people who see the film as an introduction to the show would be lost
@@thefancydoge8668they weren’t acting on a seasons long running plot thread, they were just background characters. This actually required you to know who Bob is and why he wants Bart dead
It just now dawned upon me that Bob never appeared in the movie at all and I cannot believe they cut this entire gag dedicated to him. Still praying for the Simpsons Movie 2 to conclude the series and have Sideshow Bob as the main antagonist. I feel like that would be fitting.

@@disneyboy3030 Probably not available at the time this scene was made. The film was in production for seven years, so i would assume he recorded the lines we know he recorded sometime during production for an episode he was in, & this scene was done during a time when there was no Bob focused episode being worked on & no lines had been done by Kelsey.
I think I know why they deleted the scene with Sideshow Bob. Fans who were new to the show at that time (like myself) would not get that. Also I think Bob was still in Europe when all this was taking place.
The entire Springfield was after Homer after what he did. But I can imagine the entire Springfield would be all after Bart due to his annoying antics but if anyone's going to kill Bart it's going to be his arch enemy Sideshow Bob and Sideshow Bob only. Because Bob has a massive Vendetta and hatred for him. For Bart foiling Bob's plan to frame Krusty the Clown and take over the show and foiling his other evil schemes ever since. And even on the times when Bob is really trying to redeem in himself turn over a new Leaf Bart along with the rest of The Simpsons always ruin it. Remember In "The Italian Bob" Sideshow Bob went to Italy and finally found a good life. Got married to a woman Francesca, had A son Gino with her and even became mayor of the village. Everyone adored & respected Bob and He had the life he wanted. Until He ran into The Simpsons there and knowing their history that's wasn't gonna end well. He begged for them not to mention his old crime life in America Since again his life was great there and everyone loved him in Italy and didn't know a thing about it. And they agreed, but when Lisa got drunk, she revealed. Everything Ruining Bob's good life in italy in having him banned from the village in the process. Because of that his vendetta and hate was targeted not only at a Bart, but to the entire Simpson family. Which is completely reasonable since his life was perfect there and The Simpsons ruined it. But still he hates Bart the most. And his wife Francesca and son Gino also have a vendetta against The Simpsons they tried to help Bob Kill them twice in their debut episode and episode "Funeral for a Fiend" with Bob's parents and his younger brother Cecil.
It was of the gags that got deleted while the writers were trying to think of a punchline for this shot. The crowd was chanting “Kill! Kill! Kill!”, and the Dyslexic Society was chanting “Llik! Llik! Llik!” It didn’t work, so they cut it.
I, for one, have always hated this part of the movie that I could almost suffocate with anger and rage towards those townspeople-they went to kill every single Simpson, even though their imprisonment was due to Homer and only Homer but they wanted to kill every one of them, that is, every one and just kill; can you imagine!!! Abraham was going to kill his own son and Patty and Selma were going to kill their own sister, (just like Scar from The Lion King killed Mufasa, his own brother) how could they, or how could they even consider such an act!!! Milhouse, together with the others, was going to kill Lisa, the girl who had been, despite other girls, like Samantha, his only true love, that is, his whole life, and Nelson too, even though he had only liked Lisa for a while, and Milhouse also wanted to kill his own best friend, i.e. Bart like Carl, Lenny, Barney and Moe, their own best friend, Homer, and the whole town wanted to take Maggie's life, how could they even think about that - she was just a baby!!! I, at least, would have stayed by Homer's side and stayed in Alaska myself, instead of returning to that horrible town that deserves no kind of acceptance and respect for its monstrosity. Because Springfield is full of dishonest business owners, incompetent professionals and unfriendly customer service people. The city's police department is highly incompetent and Mayor Quimby's administration is completely corrupt and the city's residents are short-sighted, cynical and gullible fools who are themselves responsible for much of the city's problems and are even very proud of their evil, why else would the city be known for its serious environmental and pollution problems, corrupt and of incompetent authorities and very short-sighted residents who nevertheless sometimes have a strong sense of togetherness, but often in the wrong way, that they collaborate to do evil. Especially when they teamed up to kill Homer and his entire family (even though his death and his family wouldn't have removed the dome around the town) even though they were innocent and like I said, Abraham, Patty and Selma were going to kill their own son and sister, only true monsters would do that to their own family members. So I would have at least been on Russ Gargil's side and helped him destroy the whole town and its friendly-looking but monster-inhabitants with a bomb, or burned the whole town to ashes with the inhabitants, or like Despicable Me 3's Balthazar Bratt using a huge mecha suit and a super sticky, self -using inflating bubble-gum to balloon the entire city and using a powerful laser beam to cut it off the ground and send it with the inhabitants into space, even at the price that with such an act I would not be any better than all the townspeople combined.
I wonder what that dyslexic society joke was about. I think either there is missing audio which was part of the joke, or I’m just stupid and I don’t get it.

Worst… movie based on an animated series… ever! This movie would have been better if they used The Simpsons Game’s plot where they all got video game powers and stuff but changed any mention of “video game” to “movie”. At least Sideshow Bob was in that game. Him and the aliens from the Treehouse of Horror episodes.
