I always thought that Yogi Bear cartoon was silly. I mean, there's a park ranger constantly antagonising a grizzly bear, is it any wonder it came to that slaughter?

I'm not much of a Family Guys humor after it's first run/cancelation. Where they make a week joke and drag it out until its funny. Which is effect sometimes like, "Where's my money, man"

That's Seth MacFarlane's way of saying, "Since we can't come up with anything funny, let's just show old footage of someone singing. Nobody will notice."
@@MRWINDYMETHANE it's a comedy technique that he likes doing that most weren't doing at the time. Where drag out a joke long enough that it becomes funny. I can't remember who he named as his inspirations. 3 Stooges were part of.
Standard Hanna-Barbera approach. It's cheaper to record dialogue than to animate action. So, when you clone a mute character (in Yogi's case, Disney's Humphrey Bear), you give him a voice and a sidekick to chat with!

Why is every Yogi Bear reference in other animated shows dark. Peter kills Yogi, Yogi Homer mauls Ned. The Yogi Bear reference in Billy and Mandy was pretty crude too lol
That’s what makes it brilliant. Homie starts of with just mauling Ned, then when Bart Bart mentioned it wasn’t Nice, he changed tactic to just, in his head passively, swinging his arms and It was Ned’s own fault that he was getting mauled at that point.
Actually they probably would find it funny considering they were one of the Pioneers of Cartoon Violence. That said they'd get the main joke right away.
Homi Bear is smarter than Yogi Bear because Homi Bear knew that the only way the feud could end was with either him killing the ranger or the ranger killing him.
This isn't "Simpsons Roasting On an Open Fire", it's "When you Dish Upon a Star" it had Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin as guest stars. The parasailing scene was probably the funniest Simpsons moment ever.

it's not that he forgot the part of the dream where he was mauling ned, he just knew he didn't want to actually say that to his family. Homer is stupid, but perhaps he's not that stupid.
I thought it was a typical bait-and-switch joke. Like you'd think the dream was "wonderful" for Homer because he was attacking Ned, but it was actually because he had a tie and no pants on.
