I also thought of Mexico City. One of its neighborhoods called Roma has a lot of colorful art deco architecture and is famous for good bars and cafés. There is even a fountain in the center of this neighborhood. Another hint could be the purple trees: During spring you can see the jacaranda trees blooming purple all over Mexico City. The arch could be inspired by the Monumento a la Revolución.

That is my thought. $40 is a lot of money for romance. Especially when so much of it is already existing, with crushes already there and My Wedding Stories, and Romantic Gardens, and jewelry already here, and parties already here, and we already have a romantic fountain in Tartosa, I'm just so lost what the new item is. And how could I forget, the Love Festival!! All these things that already exist, and no idea what could add up and be on-theme to meet that price tag. My fear initially seeing the buildings was hotels, which I know people want, but $40 is a lot....

Imagine being a couples counselor and Bob and Eliza come to see you and bring Iggy... and now you have to deal with a toddler in your office while addressing the relationship issues. I think if they had a chance to bring their infants and toddlers instead of arranging childcare, those playpen fences would see use in rebuilds of the work lot to include places to pen up poorly supervised client kids...

i'd love for more sexuality/romance options to be added (basegame ofc)! one of my friends mentioned polyamory/open relationships which would be super cool, sims are already super weird about infidelity/multiple partners, some get moodlets and some don't, plus the fear of being cheated on, it would be great for gameplay to actually decide that preference for your sims!

YES. hottub addons would be so cool it would really make a pool look different every time because the pools at the moment are so boring imo

I would love more pool build tools... both fancy mansion/adult location things like integrated hot tubs (or just Sims 3 style in ground hot tubs that are easier to integrate into a fancy pool deck or pull off glitches with) and swim-up bars (like in Sims 3 Island Paradise) and pool stairs and fancy water features and water activities, and more "public pool" and "family waterpark" variants of those items and items like water toys for little guys to climb about on, pool stairs and ramps like real public pools have, variable size or just larger capacity hot tubs for community lot installations, waterslides and old style diving boards, "shallow end" or kiddie pool tools for creating an area for toddlers and infants, curved pools, that damn pool volleyball net from Sims Freeplay, just, y'know, stuff to make more realistic public and home pools. Oh, and more classy looking versions of the existing splash pad stuff and any new kid and baby water stuff would be neat, y'know, sad beige mum, baby water play edition, for adding infant and toddler accessible space to your fancy upscale resort pool or your mansion's pool deck without ruining the mature and classy vibe with gaudy rainbow kid toys. And this isn't really "pools", but I'd love just more stuff for children and toddlers to have access to and unique kid fun with at rather "adult" locations.

Dying from a breakup would fit with the other emotional deaths. There's a lot of hints about nectar though... maybe a death from too much nectar? Not very child friendly though

I don't think they'll have deaths like those for the same reason in the base game you can't die of sadness. It's just a little too real and not silly enough for the Sims 4. The vast majority of Sims 4 deaths are silly things (though some are a bit gruesome, namely poisoning deaths (for the Sims)).

Island Living 100% should have included surfing!!! 🏄 If they added it later, it would be a game pack. And I would hope that they also add other “solo” sports. And then another game pack that adds “team” sports!

Especially since the "ask to be woohoo partners" they added. I mean, there could be like "ask to be Joined woohoo partners" or something? The language would need to be specific to differentiate between cheating and becoming a poly relationship so people don't do the wrong option on accident somehow, but in general it just seems easy to distinguish between monogamous relationships and polyamorous relationships by just asking with the feature that already exists. However!!!! I would hate for you guys to have to pay $40 just to see yourself represented in the game though, so I hope it's an update and not a paid feature.

Literally SO REAL!! My Sim autonomously flirted with another one in front of her partner, and he got the fear of being cheated on for like 2 weeks. I couldn't get rid of it until I bought the fear be gone spell. Let Sims be poly!!

​@Kate-pg9zl god I hope this is the case 😭 I'd love some rep like that but it might be too controversial :( not that all polyam relationships are, but polygamy specifically is usually derived from religion like mormonism (I know it's a very specific sect and the main branch of the LDS basically disowned fundamental mormonism) and there's absolutely no religion in the sims. The sims is becoming a lot more progressive for representation but I don't think they're quite that far yet unfortunately. Maybe some day 🥲

Anyone else feel like the upcoming build kits are so mish mosh because the sims 4 team was directed to squeeze as much money as possible out of the game before the competition gets going too much? Life by you is coming out in early acces in the summer and Paralives next year. A lot of people are saying the kits look like left over stuff that didn't make it into other packs. I don't know, just a thought. It's making me not want to buy until I know for sure what happens to the sims 4 after the competition is fully here and I've seen how everything develops.

I just want heart shaped stuff. All the cheesy Valentine's caliber junk. I mean obvi I want the iconic heart stuff from past games, but I also just want enough heart stuff to decorate any room as a cheesy love den and to make any sim look like hearts obsessed little kid me - and I want all the perfectly innocent heart graphics and patterns on kid, toddler, and infant clothes too. I want matching tacky sparkly heart tat! I want those dollar store headbands that had variations for every single holiday like 16 years ago, at least a Valentine's heart variant if not a whole year's worth of at least the basics! You know that ridiculous Christmas tree costume for toddlers in Seasons? I want a cartoon heart toddler costume, or toddler hat, or all ages hat... or pet hat for all pets of all ages and sizes, similar to the bread/sandwich hat for the cats. Heck, I want matching "silly Valentine's teddy bear holding a heart in one paw" costumes for infants, toddlers, and children!

@@thri11ers horse ranch and for rent brought actual useful mechanics / life states to the game. having to pay $40 for more romance and romantic interactions is a lil slimey… as is having to pay for fully fleshed out mechanics that should already be in the game like with parenthood and my wedding stories.

@@pocchco Apologies if my previous comment came off as rude! But yeah The Sims rn is really unfortunate. Especially with things like Parenthood and Growing Together adding things that should've been implemented already. (An example being that you have to buy growing together for the changing stations.)

sims 1 and 2 did have romance/dating packs (hot date & nightlife) but both also offered a LOT of other content, most of which we have in the game already because they split everything into a million packs. so I honestly have no clue what it would even offer at this point.

Genuinely curious - I am from New Zealand, they already have Polynesian vibes (sort of) in Solani, and the Pākehā (white colonialist) side of NZ is like baby Britain with less rain, we have English-ish worlds and influence.... What else would you want to see to represent NZ?

The ✨️only✨️ reason why i love living in the balkans is the fact that noone cares if you download games from...well..you know...special websites that offer all of these games kind of illegally. You will never ever face any issues regarding it. I always have full Sims games and update the latest expansion pack like two days after it is released. 😂
