The Sims 4 Modern Luxe Kit Review (I'm genuinely so happy) 

As many said the painting TV is inspired by the famous Samsung one. It's actually a very clever idea if you don't want to ruin the aesthetic of your room with tech stuff but still want it to be practical. I like it.

The only kits worth buying are the ones where they collaborate with the actual simmers. This and plumbella’s kit are GOATED ❤️

so, the painting doubling as a TV combo is because there is a real life version called the frame TV. it's been around for a few years but it's currently going viral all over Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram and pretty much everywhere under "modern decor" so i assume that's why EA wanted to jump on the trend for this kit !!!

Yall don't get it. Satch is really hard to impress when it's EA we're judging. It is so satisfying to see him genuinely pleased with a pack. 😂

If CC creators can make pillows that snap to furniture, why can't the Sims team?

My favorite part of this kit is how happy it has made Satch. Not because I disagree with his reviews, but because he genuinely deserves to enjoy something in this game for how hard he works to bring us top tier content. Thank you for all your videos Satch!

Ahhhh.... the ceiling makes sense 😂 I tried it as a floor and thought it was horrible, but as a ceiling it's lush

TVs that look like paintings have been around since 2017 (when Samsung’s original tv was released). And they have been present in CC for years now. It’s good to finally have them in the game now! This is the first pack I’ve ever purchased on release day.

I kid you not, this is the first time ever when I saw a kit and immediately thought “Oh I NEED this”. Especially after seeing some videos showing everything and the different swatches, I LIVED. And it’s even funnier because I was just remodeling one of my Sims’ house and this kit fits the vibe soooo perfectly. I bought it today and I’m in love

If I'm not mistaken, Xureila is a black simmer (hence the artwork) who has a RU-vid channel. I have some of her sims in my game. This kit is PERFECT for those of us who craved more...African-American representation in The Sims 4 game. As soon as I saw this kit, it was an instant HIT because most AA's decorate our homes in this style.

I actually really like this set of furniture, it looks like a sort of modernized art déco.

Desert Luxe also has modular curtains, although for some reason the empty bar is in I think wall decorations not with the curtains. Also this pack is giving me strong T.K. Maxx vibes for some reason

I fell in love with this pack, the creator really thought it through! Little details that matter, they show how much Xureila cares about the game!

The TV is in there because they recently came up with it in real life and it is the new neat thing that everyone wants. Even lilsimsie has one

The television really looks like the one named "the frame" made by samsung. At first i found the tv from the kit very unrealistic but then i see that it exists in real life (still find it strange, so) I really like this kit. It's all maxis match but delicate and elegant.

I believe Desert Lux kit was the first to introduce the center curtain rod piece. But yes having it like the kitchen counters would be so nice!!

the desert luxe kit coming with a separate curtain rod quickly made them the most used curtains so that's definitely gonna happen with these too , also frame tvs that look like paintings are very popular in modern houses in real life

This is what happens when developers don't play their own games and actually enjoy it, you don't get common sense items like curtain rods. lol The kit seems nice though, the pictures would look nice in a museum, restaurant or high fashion place so I think I could get some use out of it.

IIRC, Xureila is from Texas. Her inspirations are Black Girl Luxury vibes. You might be thinking about Hey Harrie. She’s also a Black Simmer and is English. Some of her CC is luxurious, with one of her notable items being a framed TV.

I'm not mad at this kit at all. I like the items and the gameplay elements it added. This is the type of stuff I like to get from CC so I can see myself actually buying this kit.

The TV is SUCH a big trend in interior design right now- it was the thing I am most excited about in the kit 😂

It's called "The Frame" from Samsung. Very expensive TV. I want one in RL, don't need one in Sims. Looks better over a fireplace than the others though.

I do like the frame tv, i've seen it a lot in fancy homes, making it look aesthetic and now with a clunky tv. i love itttt!!

This kit would work well with the decor to the max kit and I love it.

That tile floor would look great in the kitchen or bathroom. I love it! I can also see it as a ceiling on the outside with the roofs over the porches.

This is a really good kit; I really love the black artwork, way overdue. The tv is actually a real thing & it’s really aesthetically pleasing.

The TV is based on the Samsung Frame, which is exactly the same concept: a tv that turns into a painting when off.

The SIMS has tons of plain black televisions...we really do not need another one. This "painting/TV" is so unique and different, how can you not love it?

Honestly this is one of the three kits id actually consider getting. Its nice for a tv painting to be an official addition to the sims instead of being exclusive to modders❤

The TV that masquerades as artwork is something I have seen in real life. The concept behind it is that the tv would work great in a formal living room, where most people would not put a television. Family rooms and media rooms are sometimes less formal, and are more accommodating to children and pets. Formal living rooms are more for conversation and entertaining guests, where family rooms are used for daily living and interacting with members of the family and friends.

This is a genuinely good kit! So versatile and a great selection of different items. Ravasheen has some cc curtains similar to these that I've had for a while though. Still, it's a great idea. You're right, they definitely should have had modular curtains like this from the beginning.

Now I’m looking forward to the day when the sims team releases base game patch 1.100.147 - “the curtain rod update”

Totally agree about the curtains and rod. Wish they'd done that from the beginning for all curtains - and especially the Paranormal curtain. Thank you for pointing that out as an example specifically. Butlers have worked decently well for me but I know so many have issues. Great to see some items in the new kit with gameplay/animations.

i think i like that weird painting tv. it's such a cool idea. I actually like their paintings too especially the flowers

I am tempted to get this as it semi suits the vibe for one of my sims that I am soon gonna move into one of the Alto apartments. The one with the fireplace that is ugly and can't delete it. Here is a tip for you guys. Make a room around that fireplace and put up a window so it is sorta protected. And I am all here for a curtains update we need it more then ever.

I thought I was the only one that didn't like round rugs. Glad to know I'm not alone, lol. I genuinely love this kit, though. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I didn't know that TV/paintings were a thing until this kit but I really like the idea. Strangely, l decorating a build just last weekend and was trying to disguise a tv in a painting and it wasn't working that well, so I was very happy to see this in the kit.

It's so rare to see you gushing over a kit that I almost reached out for my credit card to buy it (and then rememebered I am not a modern builder 😂) would probably get it just for the curtains though 😆 they can now delete all curtains from the game except these and the desert luxe kit ones 😆

I like this kit. I kinda wish it came with another bed with a simpler headboard - like a cool metal frame or something that matches the metal legs on the other furniture. I'm not a big fan of the big tufted headboards, but I do really like the plain color choices!

The TV/ painting is really big over here in America. I don't have one but you can have a TV that does that. Like as soon as you turn it off it will have whatever painting you want and I think you can even have music playing behind the painting. Not really something I would buy but they do have them and it's been out for a few years here so maybe that's why I keep hearing creators say I don't understand this. And I was like what do you mean but maybe it's because it's only an America right now? I don't know. But yeah I love ❤ this pack. I totally love it. Love it! Love it! It is so great and I'm definitely getting it. And I think the turntable actually spins which is freaking amazing. We need more turntables that are not mods that are just in the game but I'm totally loving this. Everything in this I would definitely use. So I want to create a new person just for this. I share your excitement 🎉🎉

I’ve had a painting tv fr a good few years now and they are amazing. So much cleaner than a normal tv

Definitely need a modern luxe living room set! That’s probably what they should’ve made this since it has the tv and record player and we already have the other one.

The art/tv has been around irl for close to 15 yrs in Canada and I love it. I first saw it in show called Divine Design and or her second show called Candice tells all, she is a Canadian designer since 2001 on tv that is.

I really needed this bed from this kit because it’s like my actual bed in real life and I always want my sims to have my exact same life 😅

This might be the first kit I'll actually pay for! I just recently downloaded a bunch of custom content in this style because it’s my favorite and I thought we missed more of that in the game. I genuinely like all the items 🕺

No that TV painting is fire 🔥 and on trend. I have one that is cc and I am glad I can place it in my cc free builds for when the game is broken. Much needed this is by far my favorite kit so far and I love the amount of functional items. Even if it is items we already have. I think this is the standard they need to hold them self to going forward.

I got this one and I like nearly everything, but not surprised since the pack was designed by a cc creator.

The tv is my fave of all of it, tthe amount of times i have a room i love and a tv ruins it but a picture would fit! 😂

It may not be as famous in the UK but in the US the Samsung TV that doubles as a digital picture frame is lowkey viral. So yes it’s kinda quirky but makes sense as a distinct item in TS4 since it’s so iconic.

It’s nice to have an actual EA made painting TV, mostly for console players and vanilla players. I’ve had CC painting TVs in my game for a while now, but it’s nice to not have to install CC to have one now.
