I miss the spell available in The Sims 2 that allows you to summon a Sim you know, so you could lock them into a no doors room, get out by teleport, let them die, ressurrect (with another dark magic i miss so much) and use them as playable zombie slaves. Also miss the memory eraser spells. After make an immortal incestuous Dark Mage who eventualy repopulated the city with his offspring, have zombie slaves was the peak of cruelty in my game!

I have my Zatanna at full rank with all spells, i did use 3 spells in a row and she didn't get a single curse, guess the Zatara family is even OP even on other games :3

I used the cloning spell with one of my spellcasters. The clone never disappeared and appeared in my sims' family tree as her sister. Probably a glitch but to be honest I don't mind too much. I think it's funny.

I did the self-copying spell, and I think it glitched, because the new sim never went away. She ended up being my twin for some reason?! I don’t know what happened 😂
One thing that I don't like about this pack is the lack of animations (in the majority of spells the Sim will do the same animation with the wand ) and the lack of "magic" feeling , on the Sims 1 there are spells like creating a small cloud above a garden that will start a mini rain with the porpoise of keeping your plants hydrated , or another one that lets you transform abiotic component into temporary alive beings (gnomes are one of the spell's target available) and in Sims 2 you were able to even resurrect zombies from a gravestone but in Sims 4 they all feel like cheats that make your game inconmensurably easy with some magic animations incorporated, I just miss feeling like a powerful mage , not a god Sim with access to all the game chests thought "magical" animations .
Problem with spellcasters after learned all spells and potions, save your character in gallery etc and download them for new game all that knowledge is gone so have relearn them. I hope they fix this in a patch
Do you know if the sages can lose their titles? I had my sim marry the Sage of untamed magic, and then they lost their title thing and were replaced by someone else, is that supposed to happen?
I think I was once able to get rid of a sim after turning them into an object by setting the object as my sim's head, but they might've just been teleported off the lot because I might've seen them later on despite this. You could also try destroying the object with the "Destroy Object (Debug)" cheat from the same menu you'll find "Set as Head"... but using that cheat on a sim that hasn't been turned into an object might delete them too.
Asking for a spell and potion recipe is definitely faster than manually practice for it. With the more exp perks and potion of plentiful needs, you can become a master spell caster in about 1 to 2 hours.

I'm playing with an evil witch sim and I made friends with a townie to ask her to move in, then killed her. Whenever I wish so I summon her ghost and then use the minion spell on her to make her clean the house and cook food. Yay, free butler!
For your own sake, don't make potions with Simeon Silversweater. Both times I tried it the potion backfired. Once my sim even got a curse! L. Faba didn't do anything to help either, she was probably thinking "Thapsoblip" Which translates to "Amateurs"
