The Sims Online: A Different Type of MMO 

I love whenever fans of a dead online game bring it back, it's really neat to be able to play a game again that used to be just erased from existence

I played this game, I think really late in like 06 or 07. Loved it, but by the time I played various bots, bugs, and exploits ended up causing hyperinflation, meaning it was trivial for someone to give you 100,000 simoleons or whatever and make the game pretty much entirely about socializing and skilling. If anyone remembers a blue robot named T-man I say hi. I can't tell you how much child-me was pissed off about the EA-land stuff, it felt like a betrayal and I distinctly remember deciding not to buy Sims games since due to the blatant bait and switch. Truth be told it wasn't a very good game, but it was a great way to get socialization for a very lonely, very sad child and I'll love it forever for that.

Man this game brings back memories and nostalgia. I remember I was just turning 15 when this came out. As a kid I was pretty shy and introverted when it came to meeting and being around people in person. Back then there was no Facebook or even MySpace yet. Outside of yahoo chat rooms and AIM, this was the first real interaction with others online. I established several close friendships throughout the couple years I played.

Seeing this video..Jan 2024.. Makes me want to go back again. Guess i will play again soon. All my stuff and property is still on FreeSO.

This game came out in 2002 the promo of the guy trying to kiss the girl was pretty vanilla for the times. The concept of boy likes girl and girl likes boy wasn’t as taboo as it is today.
