Another thank you to this episode's sponsor 'Hello Fresh'. We didn't spot the strange coincidence with today's sponsor and the subject of this episode until we uploaded it....Did you spot it? 🔎👨🍳 Also, a big thank you to you for watching :) 🙏
It was my pleasure, very much so. I enjoy the stories and your delivery of them equally. You're very good at this! You're respectful even when being tongue in cheek. I appreciate that greatly.
A loving and forgiving wife and a mother of two young boys repaid by being murdered by three ruthless and greedy people. They created so many other victims such as the boys, the parents of the murder victim and her friends and church associates. Poor June.
yes, but June was stupid for taking him back, and then giving him a penny. She should have never taken him back, waved good bye and moved far far away.
Well, you're just looking at her from the outside, and worse than that your view is obscured by her being only described in a few words here and there. Ask yourself, was she a control freak? Was she manipulative bordering on the sociopathic? Did we even get to know her (and what life with her was like) during this brief story? In the end perhaps the biggest point of takeaway was that both of the women in this man's life were, for all intents and purposes, the same woman repackaged. Appearance would lead you to think they were a 'strong woman' while in fact they were the weakest of all weakness. Domineering, cold, manipulative, callous, and most of all bitter. Finally what of the thought of the side story, the gal who blackmailed the guy who she was sleeping with when she was a teen? And what of the 4 children who never got to actually live, because of their decisions and the medical procedures he paid for? Nobody is a winner here, except for a Darwin award.
@spacewater7 Your assumptions come across as misogynistic. If June had been a man would you automatically assume he was cold, callous, manipulative, and bitter, just because he was the more assertive personality? I'm going to assume not. It's genuinely disgusting you'd prefer to jump to the assumptions that she may have been a terrible person, that in some twisted way she had it coming, when she was a murder victim.
@@spacewater7Also, I'm going to be pedantic because you sound like a moron. Who won the Darwin award? June already had children, and she was the only one killed. Unless you're considering Kim's aborted fetuses the winners? Regardless, though, that's not how Darwinism works.
thanks for the extra work put into this episode :) Rest In Peace June x My Uncle was a GP in Pangbourne for 40 years and my Grandparents also lived there, my Grandad planted 2 trees in the front garden as tiny saplings and they are now huge pine trees, lovely village. I must visit there again x
👏 to your sound editing...your exterior shots sounded very close to your interiors, not always easy to do 👍 Good thing Sherlock was a good detective too.
How have I lived without this channel? The cheeky, clever title of it gave me a chuckle, so I had to stop by. I am glad that I did Well done! Subscribed.
I love this channel.Reminds of the comic books series" A treasury of Victorian Murder"from Rick Geary(wich I recomend for those interested on the subject).Greetings from Brazil!
your channel is one out of two my favorite in this genre! i really hope you'll gain more views and subscribers bcs you guys deserved it! always looked forward of your videos and they never disappoint :)
Never heard of this case before. I wonder what kind of job in a school Kim held after her release. I'm hoping that she worked as a janitor or dinner lady, not as a teacher. It is a bit unsettling that she was sentenced to only 12 years. Karma has a way of catching up anyway.
Who else would like to see our Mr. Brodie in a TV mystery series where he discusses historical cases while solving the show's current murder of the week? Maybe something not entirely unlike a combination of "Well, I never" and "Midsomer Murders"...
Thank you for a great video - I enjoy these vintage UK cases! I know Peppard quite well. Two smallish, but interesting NT properties nearby: Greys Court and Nuffield Place. I wonder why they hadn't considered the possibility that someone might stop to help at the scene, before they'd staged it - very remiss of them. Luckily they didn't though, and that Constable Sherlock wasn't fooled!
Sounds like she had a true love besides her dog, love for the money she could get from men. Seduce a man, manipulate a man, brainwash a man to do evil deeds for money for HER! And in the end, she still couldn’t confess for her horrific part in the murder of an innocent persons. She was probably only sorry the plan didn’t work out and she was imprisoned. P.S. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS❤️ I always look forward to your new stories.
Well, it is not just her, what a stupid man, lacking any kind off a backbone. He agreed to all this. Simply forgetting that their children have no mother anymore. Shame on HIM as well!!! Just thinking about himself.
Yes. The inevitable downfall of The Simp. They deserve what they get . As for the Femme Fatale ; no doubt by Wrexham standards she would be considered a " stunner "......Hmmm......?
So fascinating watching all these you have put on here. Being local to Reading I never knew about most of the murders. I wonder how many bodies they would find in the Thames if they ever cleared it out
Not really if he hasn't seen the car before. He couldn't know about the unbroken window so it is quiet believable to say that she flew through it and died because of those injuries.
@@roxleyldc that depends on which way one goes through the windshield. In the days prior to everyone wearing seat belts people went to wind shields after they were thrown around in the car.
One of the very few sensible comments here. One would have expected certain types of injury and traces of shattered glass. These days the car would never be towed as this was, by a breakdown truck and losing evidence all the way to Henley Nick
I love you're channel and your attention to details. I've been subscribed for awhile. This is a bit off topic, forgive me, but where did you purchase your cloth cap ? I love it. I can't find anything of that quality in the states. They lack sufficient material and look way too little. I would appreciate it if you could help me out. Thank you very much. Cheers.
I remember this case I was married the year before it happened . For some reason was fascinated by Kim don’t know why . It was an interesting case at that time .
You seem like you stepped right out of the past and are somehow a time traveller or something. I associate you with what I picture the 50s or 60s men of England to be and seeing you with Hello Fresh made me chuckle. Like time travel.
The guy couldn't have been much of an electrical engineer if he couldn't get another job in that field. He also had neither character nor backbone. A sad story well-told.
Waaah My home town wrexham. It's always shocking to hear about my little town being mentioned. EDIT: sooo, somehow came up in conversation about family history that Eric Jones is actually my great uncle... my gramps' (grandad) brother. I was shocked! Told my dad about watching/listening to this case right here on this channel. Dad was amazed people even knew about it.
Hello Fresh is a good sponsor and you're a pretty good salesman, but, I think Pringles faux potato chips missed out. "Pringles new chips, now with the the unsettling flavor of murder" would sell. Also, Constable Sherlock? In your research did you see if he was ever paired with Constable Watson? Thanks for another, well, I never.
People who will stop at nothing to get what they want, including murdering the innocent, from spouses to babies, will easily also turn on each other. This was the case here. Also, they are often blessed with stupidity, which was rampant in this case. Since they had a plan, it was pre-meditated stupidity.
Well it doesn't matter where the country is or what the country is there are stories that go untold. You know it doesn't sell commercials on the news. 🙏✌️
Forgive me, but Kim Newell sounds like a typical gold digger; using men to get money, after first acting sweet and innocent in order to entice them. She saw how easy Ray was to manipulate and dominate and she had pound signs in her eyes. The only thing attractive about him was his money. The ones I feel really sorry for, besides June, were the children who would be raised without their mother.
It seems Cleland had it right and they refused to listen. This still happens today - murder a spouse for the money, get caught, life in prison or the death penalty. Stupid, stupid people.
You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out, when a person is ejected through the front windshield of their car, it usually causes at least a little damage to that windshield! Not to mention the blood being inside the vehicle. Did they really think they were cleverly outsmarting the police (A constable named Sherlock was an ominously bad start).!
RIP June your husband & His friend are Evil Monsters for murdering you June it's so Sad they should of gotten the death penalty for what they did to you justice was served they should of been hung God bless those 2 boys who lost their mother, at the hands of there father it's Barbaric, sick cruel & Evil.
