This was quite a side movement at the time, I guess that not many folks over there were all into the music. Plus, or perhaps, since the performance is a quite obvious lip syncing, I'm not sure if anything at all was even being played live, maybe they were just hired folks to pretend to be enjoying the show that wasn't even taking place, who knows.
What a bloody dumb comment. 1: People don't typically "go wild" at lip syncs, and 2: TV producers typically frown upon studio audiences "going wild" during a taping session.
Unfortunately, this lineup never played any actual live shows. Hell, none of the "band" here was even on the album other than Morrison. Even then, she doesn't even get to play bass on the record, just sing.
I saw her in a bar when she was playing in The Damned in 2002. I simply had to go to the bathroom to murbate and then get back before I missed too much!
I can't abide all of those playback shows. This lineup never played live, not even on TV. In fact, it's uncertain what Patricia Morrison even did on the album; she sang backup vocals, but nobody's sure if any of the bass parts are her work.
Estoy muy feliz de haber visto varias bandas de afuera, acá en Argentina & cuando viví en Alemania, Bélgica Vi a Sister of Mercy es lo mejor en música Gótica su música te lleva a la dimensión desconocida! Es un gran músico! ✨💜💜💜✨🔮💫
@@jimmytgoose476RU-vid ain't showing me what you said a year ago, but I'm guessing that you said that she isn't hot. Which means you're either a troll or just a fucking moron, take your pick.
Probably got this on VHS amongst hundreds of tapes in my loft. Saw them live in what was Birmingham NEC, 1990 I think....anyway very good sound live, plus lasers, blacklight and a lot of dry ice smoke
We had the original line up play at the Tin Can club way before that, I’m sorry to say Eldridge was bit up himself off stage, arrogant if I remember correctly and we nearly came to blows. They played another gig there if I remember correctly which I chose not to work on. Great performance though, and did a cracking cover of Gimme Gimme during the sound check.
@matt Oh, come ON. I obviously wasn't there but I can feel in my soul the vast REACHING the word "almost" is in this sentence. You did NOT "almost" come to blows with dad, IF he even reacted to you or interacted at all thats very very very cool and you know it.
Fantastic in every way.My wife looks like Patricia Morriston at university we both went to cool and a mystery in every way in the 80s..Still looks like her today same style Goth .Her university students call her the Alien Goth, because of her very HQ and being a member of Mensa. She should be seeing she teaches at Phd level in mathematics and physics.Thats why i married her.
@@jimmytgoose476 Ozzy is the rusty gate on the way into the graveyard - trouble this way lies, be careful of sharp edges, etc. Eldritch was the haunting wind blowing through the graveyard - sheer gloom and darkness.
Are there any live videos from the Sisters during this era that aren’t lip synced for tv appearances? Id like to see if they were any good performing these songs live .Patty isn’t even trying to sing into the mike.
Wikipedia: "The band did not play live during this period, but did mime Top of the Pops, among others. "This Corrosion", "Dominion" and "Lucretia My Reflection" were released as singles, the videos for which would be compiled on the 1988 VHS release Shot, alongside a video for "1959"." Also from Wikipedia: "Although Morrison played a significant part in Sisters of Mercy promotional duties (appearing alongside Eldritch on music videos, interviews and photo shoots) her musical contributions have been a matter of debate. In 1992, Eldritch had the following comments to make regarding their collaboration: "If I'd publicly pointed out at the time that I was effectively carrying Patricia as a passenger (not what I'd had in mind, I might add), then I might not be faced with a stupid court case. ... I thought it would be ungracious and not very supportive of me to point out at the time that she never wrote anything or played on the records, that while she was in the band she never picked up her guitar unless it was time to make a video. No wonder she was unable to play it properly when called upon." "
Patricia Morrison was Pat Bag in the first wave USA punk band The Bags 1977/78, also in The Gun Club and Legal Weapon, great bands... She looked pretty similar back before goth was a thing... It was just her punk look.
There was interview asking about there under wear a bit of odd question it was a female who asked 🤔 anyway guys a articulate wonderful man this song is really perfect gem great band wonderful songs love to see them love hey now hey now now sing this corrison have I spelt that wrong soz ❤😀
This was one of the SOM songs produced by Jim Steinman. The songs that he wrote and produced were often designed as a performance style power anthems often with a similar style rhythm track (IE: Bonnie Tyler, Meat Loaf Bat Out of Hell).

@@jenovahcremator2133 my current style is very close to Patricia, just hair color is lighter, i hate that teenage emo neo goth stuff tbh. Wish i was alive in those times back when "goth" stuff was badass not girly :(

@@jonsummerville9022 how nice... unfortunately the goth scene is kinda dead in the place where i am living in... I hope I'll find one rockstar type guy for myself.
@@kaori_kanzaki I met my wife working at a Haunted house...SciFi conventions are another option, but you don't want to go to a SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) or a DragonCon since both are too bloody crowded (I was a Volunteer at DragonCon for 20 years and 'Retired' after my body decided to go to the crapper and the crowds started to really get my PTSD to go into overload) but a smaller con usually attracts locals😉
@janine never GOT TO ? wrong. She should have participated when he wanted her to contribute. imo she kinda blew it with what vision couldve been here, and I would've really liked to see what may have been from their collaborative work, but hey, some things just are and arent meant to be. I love her and Vanian together. Rock n roll married touring couples are the shit.
Those apperances where the Sisters showed up were the worst performances ever by the Gothic Grand Daddy. Don't get me wrong. I saw them over the years eight times. But those TV shows were awful
