Makoto is such a great character. He's just a goofy little guy.

Makoto: "Well, talking to the doctor didn't work. Would you like to watch me lie here seductively while I go into meticulous detail about his security?" I really like how the detectives feel like an actual team in this chapter compared to the mostly lone wolves they were in the prologue. Yakou and Desuhiko coming in disguise to save Yuma, Yakou drawing away the Peacekeepers to help Yuma and Desuhiko reach Dr. Huesca, and Desuhiko, Fubuki, and Yuma using Ama-Pal and Time Leap to reach the critical lab really feels like all the characters are using their abilities to their fullest to save the day...though it looks like it was all for nothing. Loading screen tips say that robot researcher's name is Akira and he wants to die by Ama-Pal's ball hands.

The final Desuhiko gumshoe gab is great! I can't wait to see your reaction to it. Also Yuma and Desuhiko are bros because aside from the one moment when he devalues Yuma's role as a detective at the beginning of Chapter 2, Yuma and Desuhiko have a surprisingly compatible friendship with one another. It is notable that, during their interactions, Desuhiko actually sees Yuma as an equal individual and doesn't really judge him for much (though considering Desuhiko's own questionable personality, judgment would come off more as hypocritical heartwarming) beyond his standards for what counts as a detective, which is unlike Halara, of whom Desuhiko is vitriolic best buds with. As well as this, unlike Fubuki and Vivia, he actually _shows_ he cares what Yuma thinks about certain things, as opposed to only _attempting_ to do so, making their connection with one another seem more genuine.

Johnne makoto is the same height as yuma. Yes, he wears high heels but you can see at 19:30 that makoto is a little bit taller because of them. Anyways, they’re at the same height 😭

It's hilarious how Vivia hyperbolises his hunger ("a whole harry potter chapter" lol) but I figured it out right away. The ravenous beast of the cavernous stomach demands a snackrifice.

The level of detail they went for Ama-Pal, even adding voicelines that would be included in a real children’s toy. As short-lived as it probably is, it’s one of my favorite parts of this game.

Ey, no shade at all about the "stupid" moment cuz I was totally blindsided by that twist too! The biggest mystery now is WHY the robot fell over, honestly. Was there some sort of 1930s boxing glove on an arm trap it activated?? Ya know, it'd be really funny if the killer set up a complicated set of wires or smth to make Huesca die RIGHT when the robot rolled in, so that the death is the fault of the person who opens the door... Oh. That'd make it Yuma. :X Don't like that. Hope it's not that. I hope the killer was just able to get into the lab thru the air vents or smth.

Well, it seems as though we arrived to the underground at a bad time, with intruders expected and the life of the person to whom we need to talk about the Homunculus research in danger, you could say trouble follows Yuma wherever he goes, even if it is this deep underground. Fortunately, it seems as though the master detectives are here to help us achieve our goals, though the use of coalesce like this makes me wonder about the inevitable mystery labyrinth later... Can we bring in multiple companions? Guess we'll have to wait and see

I wasn't expecting Vivia's gumshoe gab to start like that. Mountains not calling to people sounds like something Vivia would say. Yomi is so butthurt about not being CEO. I wouldn't be surprised if Yomi or Makoto hired the hitman to discredit the other. I thought the toy robot would be used in a murder, but it wound up being used creatively. Dr. Huesca is not what I expected at all. If the gas was the doctor's 'failure', I'm concerned about his successes. Makoto by doing nothing( assuming that's true)has done more for Kanai Ward than Yomi's 'justice'. Yuma's channeling his inner Vivia with the I 'hope a meteor hits the building' line. I like this new direction for Yakou, but it seems out of character considering how reluctant he was to get involved earlier. Desuhiko got roasted this chapter.
