I can't believe it, I wont believe it. LIKE this is not even remotely fair...

There's something i find so incredibly amusing about seeing Desuhiko getting so angry at Vivia. He's usually so laidback, to a fault. It's weird seeing him be the voice of reason, of sorts. I can't even lie, i completely understand him. I'd be pissed too if a friend of mine was dying on the ground, and some dude was standing in the corner reciting Shakespeare's Hamlet. "Stop finding the truth or you'll vore the planet, Yuma. You don't like vore, do you?" How the hell do you come up with this kind of dialogue, Johne. Anyways........CHIEEEFFFFF💔💔💔

Not gonna lie one of the best parts about watching Johne is his reactions. Everything from the hallway discovery by Yuma to the legit anger of wanting Yomi dead was great

The way Shinigami takes this situation seriously shows her character growth that has been happening slowly throughout the game. In Chapter 0, when Yuma was shocked and scared upon finding 5 dead bodies in a row, Shinigami couldn't care less. She only wanted him to solve the case and didn't really try to empatise with his situation. In this chapter however, Shinigami recognises that Yakou is someone important to Yuma and treats this matter very seriously. She also try to make Yuma feel better when he was blaming himself for not chasing after the hitman. In fact, throughout the game, she has been getting more supportive towards Yuma, in a genuine way.

YOU CAN MAKE FUN OF THESE GAMES AND WRITING BUT THE FACE THIS MAN JOHNE MADE WHEN YAAKOU WAS IN MORTAL PERIL SPEAKS VOLUMES

The amount of souls in that place imagine the horrors that the doctor did there.

I’m headcanoning that Vivia was trying to “shift” into a book universe and became a ghost and was like “aw…”

I just thought of a really strong Forte combo. Yuma, Vivia and Zange could be very powerful together. If Yuma takes Vivia's power, and sees incriminating behaviour or evidence of a crime, he could take Zange's power and print his memory. This would allow Yuma to solve so many crimes.

Vivia is cool and all but the "peace" he's trying to protect just means being submissive under the Peacekeepers and being totured to death, plus the growth of injustice in Kanai Ward where many people would continue to suffer even more. His idea of peace is more dangerous than Yuma's so i hope they call him out for that since he tried to slit Yuma's throat for "peace".

And thus it begins. The ride that will going to last until the bitter end.

17:18 Kinda funny, yet understandable that upon entry to the tower = Halara was discussing how much Vivia would owe them for doing his share of the work, and now that Yakou's dead - Halara's trying to be the dependable leader that the team needs

According to the loading screens, the reason why Dr. Huesca is barefoot is because the half a minute it would take to put on socks and shoes is TOO MUCH TIME away from performing research. More teamwork moments! 8:20 Desuhiko special part 2! And it actually kinda worked! And at 14:08 Halara, Vivia, and Desuhiko beat the shit out of the Peacekeepers while Fubuki extracted Yuma! If only we could enjoy those moments...

I cant tell you how much I want to punch Yomi for kicking our fuzz head while he’s bleeding out.

8:45 I mean we should've seen this coming with the sudden change of heart, but it still sucks. If this doesn't light a fire under Yuma, I am done with him

Damn I love all the detectives because they all have such different personalities and act in their own way

So, our final forte has been revealed, and what better way to top it off than literally becoming a phantom detective, even if only for a little while, and without all the cool ghost tricks. In any case, with Vivia's big connection to spirits and the such, I believe it sort of answers how he found out about shinigami. I mean, she is, in her own words, haunting us, the same way a ghost would. In other news, it seems as though Yakou got tangled up in the hitman business and ended up on death's door himself, a rather unfortunate turn of events, really.

This game was already like an 8/10 for me but this last part got it up to almost a ten out of ten.

Imma be honest, Yakou kinda sucked as a 'mentor' during chapters 1-3. I think he shines and is pretty cool in the prologue, his bonding events, and this chapter.

Kinda figured there won't be a chapter with chief Yakou as our companion but this still sting badly. I thought for sure there was going to be a race against Vivia to see who would get back to their body first like a mini-game with time limit

I straight up burst into tears when I saw Chief Yakou's body, I can't believe he's dead,man.

Anylasis of vivia’s actions (spoilers) From Vivia’s point of view, Yuma here is trying to solve a murder that would lead to the death of Yakou, he wishes to tell Yuma that what he is doing will sentence Yakou to death. The problem is that Yuma is right next to a death god, with no remorse. He believes that she will take Yakou’s life if she learns he is guilty. So he tries to tell Yuma that what he is doing is not worth it, but Yuma says no. So left with no option, he tries to threaten him, in order to save Yakous life. It takes Yakou himself to remind them that it does not matter how painful the truth is, it is better than Turing away from it. Yakou, RIP, you are a good man, with a heart of gold at the end

And so it begins the best chapter in the whole game 😊

It was this chapter that Vivia went from being my favorite character in the game to my favorite Kodaka character in general so far.

I originally thought we were supposed to be desensitized to all the death in the game, but they pulled a big whammy on us in the final stretch

so I think I know how fink left the lab after killing huesca but I want to wait and see if the game explains his escape route

I knew how this chapter would end, so seeing all the components play out and Yuma not realizing what's happening until later is super sad

There is just so much to comprehend from this episode. I don't know how to deal with it all. I feel for you Johne about Yakou I didn't think I was that attached to him because we hardly got to know him. But I have even more hate for Yomi then I could ever have the way he was just kicking Yakou's body like that really made me mad. I get you want to make a villain a character to hate, but that is going too far. As for Vivia I just don't know what think of him even with the idea of him wanting to slice Yuma I just don't understand whats going on in his head. I really anxious to know what happens next.

Vivia is right about something there, if Yuma doesn't find the truth, no one will die from the mystery labyrinth.

Why do I think Shinigami will turn against Yuma at a certain point? Not by choice perhaps but due to the nature of the contract, she must do all she can to prevent him from learning about his past, so she wants him to be able to solve mysteries on his own, because if she stops him, only her can interact/deal with her. The term "detective with the will to defy death" and all seems to pop up rather often....

If the peacekeepers went inside before the detectives did, that would saved Yakou some time before getting himself in trouble like that.

I do appreciate a lot they toning down Shinigami for Yakou scene. Remember that she's the d3ath god, and only cares about Yuma. This is shown in many situations before that she just doesn't care at all for others. Trying to stay in plot, we could say she probably was worried that Yuma would turn on her if she acted recklessly, but hey, I take it. Always good to have Shinigami having some sense.

You know it's grim when Shinigami apologizes. I wonder what Makoto's doing in all this...or if the writers will go for a triple homicide in this chapter. Vivia was getting called out by everyone. Maybe Vivia's fear is tied to Shinigami and not his power. The door moving slowly implies that someone tampered with it before Ama Pal got there. I wasn't expecting Dr. Huica to be deaf. Could Vivia pull off an assassination with the other detectives in the room? Yakou's a real one, helping out his detectives from beyond the grave.

I will say this I have seen some comments that Yomi has gone too far(kicking yakou) but for me this is perfect Im glad he did that cause it shows that kodaka does not hold back with writing hateable characters It really makes you feel hatred for yomi so genuine For me yomi is well written villain and the ending of chap 4 makes it even better
