You ask, I respond. I can achieve the same with my Zeapon Micro 2 slider with a monopod attached. I've tested it out and I can place my 4.3kg BMPCC4K rig on the end of the monopod and it works a treat, from one end of the slider to the other. The combination also provides around twice the travel and is near silent compared to that electric drill you have.
Electric drill, that’s harsh! It is noisy though for sure. Not sure how you are getting twice the slide, it’s a micro Slider so I’m Intrigued? Thanks for taking the time, it’s always good to see how others use their gear 🙌
@@neilcollinsrecording The Slypod has a max extension of about 30cm. The Zeapon Micro 2 that I have has a max extension of 54cm, from end to end if supported from the middle (it's the shortest model). The weight limits of the two are almost inverted, the Zeapon can hold 8kg horizontal and 5kg vertical. I've owned a few sliders and the Zeapon has to be the Rolls Royce of sliders in it's price bracket (smooth like a Rolls Royce engine idling as well).
@@AustralianImage nice! sounds like a decent little setup 👍🏻 I’ll have to check out the Zeapon range for sure. I guess with this setup you’ll have to carry around the slider and the monopod which I know isn’t the end of the world but is where the Slypod being a single unit is a hit more portable 👍🏻
@@neilcollinsrecording It adds a bit extra, but most of my activities are vehicle based, so the extra doesn't matter so much. And, I have to admit, slider use is a small percentage of anything that I do, which I suspect is the case for most people.
