The beginning where he’s getting slept, antied, hindered over and over is the reason I stopped playing doom. I got doom to Diamond insta locking but got to a point where I was just useless because of Ana sombra and Cassidy every single game. It’s so frustrating getting slept and antied over and over and over again, idk how y’all do it but man props to you
@@angelstyle9677 True but charged punch is worse to hit and you do less damage and enemies can just NOT shoot your block to give you empowered, some games I get more empowered punches through my ult than from enemies charging me since blocking 125 dmg is just too absurd, 120? ok thats fine, thats a single junkrat or pharah missile etc etc but 125 is just EVERSOSLIGHTLY too much, just make it the old block of 90 dmg mitigaged
@Fuphu power block is just bad design. You have to rely on other people to make a mistake and shoot your block. That's so bad as a mechanic. And even after all the struggle you go through to get charged punch its still dogshit and somehow harder to hit than a normal punch. They nerfed the stun duration of the punch but also made it harder to get. Not to mention they made punch cooldown 4 secs. Peak blizzard retardation.
@@saswag2004 The design of "depend on the enemy to make a mistake" isnt a horrible one, for example genji's deflect and to some degree ana's sleep and nade (even tho they're completely overpowered), Genji just needs one or two good shots to either save himself or to secure a kill on a widow or tank, nvm it also deflects most CC and has a bigger block radius than doomfists's block. The issue with the block is the massive cooldown, not 100% block (I'd be fine with it if the cooldown wasnt there), the fact that it kicks you out of block after a few seconds, you cant use it as an effective escape tool because you cant use mobility at all and you're 1/4th your normal speed so ur easy to hit with CC, you get hit by CC through it both soft and hard CC, the radius is so bad that even a slight angle or AOE splash goes through it when its not intended,the damage mitigation to get an empowered punch is wayyy too high. And lets say you DO get an empowered punch...Empowered punch is one of the VERY FEW abilities in the game that dont abide by the "favor the shooter" mechanic that makes so many characters considered "a solid pick" like most histcans and junkrat and pharan nades. So unless you're playing doomfist around 20~30ms ping you're gonna miss your very hard to get empowered punch, which again SLOWS YOU DOWN WHILE CHARGING, ALLOWS CC, MAKES A VERY LOUD NOISE SO ENEMIES HIDE, and last but not least, CAN LITERALLY BUG AND SEND ENEMIES SLIDING INTO THEIR OWN TEAM SO THEY'RE NOW MORE SAFE THAN BEFORE. I WILL REPEAT THIS, DOOMFIST IS THE ORIGINAL LIFEWEAVER BECAUSE OF HOW OFTEN HE SENDS HIS ENEMIES BACK INTO GOOD POSITIONING. Oh yeah also he gets new bugs every patch even tho they dont touch him with ANY buffs or changes

Like, this is NOT the way anyone should play Doomfist, but you make it work, and that’s… impressive.
