I loved that the tickets for the museum have different comics on them. I'm gonna have to go back to collect different ones (also to get a clear file!).
Omg… im in happy tears just watching you share as much of this as you can… I can stay in there all day and I love the white and black smaller tote… and the black canvas tote… those merch you got.. I would love them too… 😊
If you love snoopy/peanuts, HIGHLY recommend this museum. I went to their prior location and this one is even better. Great attention to detail. They change their exhibits often (the one in this video is different than the one I saw in Nov 2023). Next to an outlet mall and park. It's a better museum than the one in Santa Rosa, CA.
Thank you for showing us this wondeful homage to a great writer. How many wonderful childhood memories were brought back through this video, Chris you are so sweet and charismatic. Warm hugs from Florida
That place is so cute with the amount of Snoopy stuff in it! I get why they won't let people touch the giant Snoopy but still it's too cute to not want to at least give it a headpat. The food looks delicious! It makes me hungry lol.
I loved Charles Schultz and his Peanuts column, all the holiday cartoons and I always read his comic strip. I’ve been to Santa Rosa and seen the ice rink he would go to.
I’ve been to the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa where they display the work and history of the creator himself. The Tokyo one seems to purely devote to the Peanuts gang. Can’t wait to visit!
It's crazy to see how peanuts and snoopy especially is so big in Japan because I live super close to where the author is from and no one cares about Minnesota. So wild. In the mall of America, there used to be camp snoopy but it's now Nickelodeon. And there used to be snoopy statues sprinkled around Minneapolis and even at the airport. Not sure if any of the snoopys are still around tho
We didn’t deserve all those beautiful poses with snoopy Chris! 😂 really enjoyed how this was filmed with you fully in it, we got to see more of your fun personality! ❤ can’t wait for your vlog on the new witches section at the ghibli park!!
I have several Snoopys as well as his sister Belle ( and other merch 😉) from the Charles Shultz museum in Santa Rosa. I’ve been a member for about 10 yrs. and we visit at least once a year. I live about 2 hrs. from Santa Rosa😊
Any Astronaut Snoopys? I didn't see any in the video. I loved the Schulz Museum in California! Thanks for this! What with the food and gifts shop I literally would not have enough spending money for this place!
Thank you for showing what items were given to you. Idc I think your wonderful I wish people gave you free stuff all day long (especially clear files) but the honesty is refreshing ❤
The variety! The details! I had no idea so many versions could even exist, and now I absolutely *have* to go! What an incredible museum! Thanks so much for sharing a sampling of what's there to see!
I was raised by snoopy collectors (also members of the Charles Schultz museaum in cali), so when you asked if we recognized any of the old merch in the wonder room, i couldn't keep up! 😂
I went to college at Sonoma State University in Northern California. Charles Schultz’s wife went there too and he was a big benefactor for the school. The library there is named after him, and it opened the year before I started school. I spent hours at the Schultz library and even worked there for a bit too in my early 20’s. If you ever make it to Northern California, definitely stop in Santa Rosa and check out the Charles Schultz museum! 😊
Omg this place is so cute!❤ I definitely read the comics in the newspaper. I loved watching the Christmas and Halloween special every year. We all need giant Snoopy statues. ❤
In the early 2000's Mcdonalds Australia released a different Snoopy everyday for a month, and you could only get it for that day. Me and my mates use to go down after midnight to get a feed and the new snoopy,
So cool Chris! Thx for taking us. Whew, wafts of nostalgia. I have, somewhere, a falling apart book from probably the 50s with early strips of the little roundheaded kids. They were so super cute! Loved those best through all the decades, tho they were before my time. I would read everything & hang out in that spot, or the stairwells, forever…
When I was in grade school in the 70's, having a stuffed Snoopy was the thing to have. They came with various clothes options, just like Barbies. I had a Joe Cool "leather" jacket and glasses for my Snoopy as well as a few other outfits.
How fun! Thanks for showing us around - I think I recognize the McDonald's Snoopy Happy Meals toys (Snoopy Around the World or something like that) from the room of mementos!!
I went to the Santa Rosa the Snoopy museum, Ice Ring, Warm Puppy Cafe/ Snoopy favorite foods/ Tuna sandwiches and the Root Beers with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Floor did in Mr Charlie Brown yellow shirt / zick Zack pattern. Bravo.
If you can’t make it to Tokyo, stop by the Snoopy Museum in Santa Rosa , California (about 55 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge). You can fly into the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County airport, visit the museum, then cross the parking lot to skate at Snoopy’s Home Ice, eat at the Warm Puppy Cafe, and visit Charles Schulz’ office. When you are done, drive around town to see if you can spot all the sculptures of Peanuts characters decorated by local artists.
WOW! I didn't know about this at all. Does the museum have any items with Belle? Belle is Snoopy's sister. She was my favorite growing up and she had a whole fashion line in the US.
Have you been to the Charles M. Shultz museum in Santa Rosa, California? Charles retired to Santa Rosa and was involved with community before he passed. There are random statues of the Peanuts gang all over town, including the airport and at the university. We live on Santa Rosa and have been there often. I am hoping to make this museum fit into our trip in June but not sure. Also, have you been to Yufuin, Oita, Kyushu? They have a Snoopy cafe and a couple stores.
I love the pastel snoopy, super cute! I would love to experience the museum if it is still there when me & my fam go :D the comic postcards were cool too. I love the bag the merchandise comes in, its like a souvenir in itself :D
What an amazing experience to see this before it reopened. I went there in 9 years ago, and the new curation just makes me want to book a flight just for the museum. You did an amazing job, moving around your joyful narration. My heart is also full, brings back lots of memories. Peanuts - Snoopy just is the comic that everyone loves. I've never met anyone who didn't like Snoopy!
I would spend A LOT of cash in that gift shop. Even the pin is gorgeous! It all looks so beautifully curated. This may have to go on the list of places I (D) would love to visit there
Adorable and sweet! Always loved Snoopy and the Peanuts characters . They are so comforting and wholesome . This museum looked amazing would love to visit it . Thanks for showing us around . Cool view of mt Fuji. Which town is it in?
I was there last summer (2023 July) and it looks to have different and newer items in the shop now (oh I love the museum shop!). I wasn't able to see more during the visit as a part of the place was closed. The attraction is definitely a must-visit on my next trip although I have no idea when that shall be. Hopefully soon. Love this video to reignite the revisiting idea ! I absolutely love the PEANUTS characters! Oh yes I love their cafe too!
Were you there for special invite? It seems so incredibly quiet! We will definitely be visiting next time. When we were in Japan last Sept, I didn't even realise my daughter really liked Snoopy (she's probably only seen the most recent movie), but she showed so much interest. I loved how loved he is in Japan - we see nothing on him in Australia.
