Great old film. I was 10 years old when it came out! Gregory Peck was wonderful.

J'avais 8 ans lorsque j'ai vue ce film pour la première fois, nous allions au cinéma de notre ville mes frères et moi, tous les dimanches à la séance de 14 h et nous en sortions vers les 18 h après avoir vue le film 3 fois c'était permanent à cette époque et c'était le bon temps de l'insouciance. merci pour ce partage et me ramener 70 ans en arrière.

En el cine clásico era común que las películas recuperen obras literarias de escritores clásicos y contemporáneos, en este caso, a Hemingway. Gracias por publicarla, para poder verla de nuevo. AWESOME SHOW! Drunken writer scours Africa & Europe for best babes. Leaves a trail of destruction and broken hearts. (Kinda like Liz Taylor). A menagerie of wildlife and that does not include the African fauna. The color print is to die for. Plus ... shock ending. 🌠🌠🌠🌠 4 shooting stars E-Z, Thanks CCC!!!!

A classic with one of the best, Peck, and Ava as good as always. I watched as a child because of the animal scenes- only Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins and the long suffering Jim had such films. Of all the fine actresses at the time, they cast Hayword, with her ugly nose and hammy overacting, which I skipped. She was totally outclassed by Ava and Hildegarde Neff, and the important ending could have been up to par with the rest of the actors' performances with a real actress. Hayward fans, sorry, but she was not taken seriously, any more than our beloved John Wayne was. Great post-TY!

I actually named my Son after Gregory Peck. 😊 (His friends thought it very peculiar that we named our Son, “Peck.” 🤔😳) Just kidding about the bit in brackets! 😂 Naturally, we named him “Gregory” - & it really was after Gregory Peck & he’s turned out to be just as handsome as the actor, too!
