it sounds like they were both using each other and it ended badly. maybe one thought the other was just there to meet their selfish needs. and the band stayed together. amazing. even when people are using each other, there are still really difficult emotions to deal with... maybe they both feel heartbroken though they didn't or claim not to have loved each other...

I remeber Don Henly and Stevie Nick's getting together was big news. Rumours ans Hotel California were huge, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles were huge. I was 13 in 1977 and this was big news. From the outside looking in it was like the prince and princess of rock were sweethearts. Nobody knew about Mic and Stevie. Now at 59 looking back, having read Mic's book in the 90's I think what pain and trama. I feel for each of them, God knows I've made some horrible mistakes by now, and I'm not proud of that. I wish it all was the fairy tale I thought it was at 13, even for their sake. Even super talented people on top of the world, with tons of love thrown at them can fall, hard. Those must be painful memories for Stevie, Mic, and Don. Fame has a dark side for many, and we shouldn't put people on certain types of pedestals. I had them all on such high pedestals at the time. As I grew up many of my heros fell hard at times. You can be super talented and crash. So glad their all okay now, they seem much healthier. Sometimes life teaches us some hard, soul wrenching, lessons. None of us are completely immune. I still listen to their music and admire their talent. So glad all three didn't wind up in the "27 club" or something. Some people don't live through the fast and rough way they lived when they were young. Fame is sometimes tragic. These 3 seemed to have learned and grown from some painful stuff.

They were young, in their twenties and using drugs. This led to their relationships being intertwined and dysfunctional. It is a time when ones emotions has take control of ones rational thinking. Add drugs to that and you wind up with various conflicts in your relationships. People start fighting with one another and blaming each other. Everyone wants THEIR needs met. In the end relationships are ruined, sometimes for life.

Omg that’s classic! I’m sorry. Your comment just cracked me up. I never wanted to step on Stevie’s spotlight! The reason I’m cracking up at your comment is because before I was with Mick and before she and I became best friends, she had an affair with my first husband Jim who managed Loggins and Messina and Kenny Loggins solo career. During the Rumours tour (1977) when Kenny was Fleetwood Mac’s opening act Stevie and Jim “hooked up”. She and I were inseparable bffs when I asked Jim one night “how could you two be such great friends and not have sex?” He said “we did”. By then it was 6am and I called her and just said, “I know, Steve”. She felt awful. I never felt angry. In fact I’d heard from Jim how her own band was starting to alienate her so I felt badly for her. Guess writing a book isn’t such a bad idea! But as for your comment…thanks! I’m literally showing teeth over here😃😀😆🤭I just found good use for this new emoji 🫨🫨🫨! 🫨🫨. Respectfully Sara😉🤓☺️

@@ImOk... this is how Rumours get started @ImOk! 😆 wink wink nudge nudge. Mick and Stevie are close and they have 50 years of friendship, ups and downs not to mention the Eros kind of lusty love they had in the late 70s…They’ve shared pretty much all the different loves…selfish love, lusty love secret love obsessive love…and I think they’ve reached “Agape” which is the highest form of love. It’s not physical but it’s a feeling. Its a very evolved Selfless Love. It’s given without any expectations of receiving anything in return. This is what happens when you grow older and your fluctuating hormones don’t rule your actions😆but your heart does❤️ Since I never really got over betraying Stevie, my best friend with a deep and special soul, I take comfort knowing they can share their incredible 50 years of experiences. Traveling the world, financial turmoil, working out songs in the studio…the highs and lows everyone gets in life. I got on here to listen to a George Michael and was directed right here! Meant to be. Oh and careful with those Rumours😆☺️👍💥🍀🎼🎶🤗🦔🐾🐾🌹 look up Agape for a new perspective on different kinds of love 🤙🖖✌️☮️🕊️💃🕺🏼🪩

@@DonnyDaison I think recording Mick’s solo album “the Visitor” at Jimmy Page’s studio “The Mill”. Jimmy jammed on it and we went to his place in Brae. He sold ACrowley’s house cuz R Plants child died there and Jon Bonham had recently passed. So Mick and I were at his new home that was Michael Caine’s ex home. We were trying to comfort him as he was absolutely bummed. After a while of feeling things out I walked into a playback room and said “uh Jimmy…would you mind if we had a listen to Zep I?” He LIT UP and said “I’d like that very much! Haven’t listened since John passed”. It was my fave in high school. And he had a glass ceiling with a remote control that he opened up and let the sunshine in. It was magical. I sang in Mick’s Visitor album on L Buckingham’s “I walk a Thin Line” doing backgrounds with Mick’s bro in lawGeorge Harrison. George played slide and George Hawkins. Harrison turned to me and said “Sara? Would you come to Friar Park and sing with me on my movie soundtrack theme song “Dream Away?” It’s called The Time Bandits? PINCH ME! Again. A sad time for George as he lost HIS John very recently. John Lennon. George shaved his head hair …anything to NOT look like a Beatle. Security was teaming everywhere. In the grottoes in the AC ducts. Nobody was allowed in. Same went for Jimmy Page’s. It was quite an honor to be a part of some of the deepest moments of their lives. Then there was the time I’d finished a Saturday morning kids show theme song. The Sweethearts. About 12 midnight I went to Stevie’s off Sunset. She was up door open as usual for those days. I played her the song and she loved it. Then I said “oh and guess what! Love of her life Joe Walsh broke up his marriage when his wife found out about Stevie and Joe’s affair. My first husband Jim Recor who was with Stevie on the Rumours arranged for Steve and I to go on the greatest vaca in Lahaina on Maui (Jim managed opening act Kenny Loggins on the Rumours tour) best time ever. Anyway. I told her guess what. Jim Recor is getting married to Jody Walsh and Lucy Walsh (Joe and Jody’s 3 yr old daughter) will be Jim Recor’s step daughter. I mentioned it kinda off the cuff and then realized it’s still all in the family. Stevie’s face. Priceless! Time for bed. Those are a couple that popped into my head. There’s more I’m just pooped. OH. MY FAVORITE EVER? Meeting my one and only idol…Jane Goodall. In college I studied Paleontology/anthropology and Jane and her trip with the Leaky’s to the Olduvai gorge in Africa. SHE SAT WITH ME AT DINNER AND U COULDN’T SHUT US UP SHE SAID “you are truly one of us, Sara!” That meant the whole world to me!!!! 🤙🕊️💖👣🐾🐾🥰☺️✌️🫶☮️🎼🎤✨🌍🍀

Stevie was and is one of the top five female artists I have followed for decades. It breaks my heart to hear of her abortions. She's such a loving and giving person, she would have been a great Mother and Motherhood would have kept her clean. I know she must grieve for those babies. At 75 now, she'll be wondering in a few years who will love her enough when she really really needs it. I'd be happy to, but I am the same age and am blessed with three wonderful children. We love you Stevie.

That’s so wonderful you have your babies and they have you! It may sound shallow or a million other things but Fleetwood Mac was all about making outstanding music. Just like you chose to devote yourself to loving your babies 24/7, Stevie chose to devote herself to her music. Nobody can guess that having kids would keep her clean. After Robin died Stevie married Robin’s widower Kim Anderson and that brought Kim and Robin’s baby boy Matthew making Stevie a step mother. She desperately wanted to make things right for them as Robin was her bff for years. But everyone was deep into their addictions at that time and I think her soul was tormented but her musical dye was cast and that ball was seriously rolling. Stevie is at peace with her past’s choices, and you’re so right…she is the most loving and giving person I’ve had the honor to know. I hope clearing the air won’t change your love for her. I sincerely hope you don’t pass judgment on her for choosing a path different from yours. I remember thinking years ago as I watched her rise like the North Star 🌟 Stevie chose to give her love to the world. If you watch her “Edge Walk” at the end of “Edge Of 17” look closely and see how caring, loving and authentic she is. So many have said one of her songs got them through really tough times…something she finally let herself believe was a really important gift she could share. In real life Stevie is a million times greater than you could ever imagine…in every way🕊️💃🌟🎼🍀🎶✌️🤗🕊️🌹🙏☺️

Haha. My mile long story just got erased! Lucky you! 50 years later I don’t know why this part of the saga never sees the light of day (do you think my first husband wasn’t famous enough?) but during the Rumours tour my first husband managed the opening act and his bff from school Kenny Loggins. Before the Mick Fleetwood. Before Stevie and I became bffs, Jim Recor and Stevie Nicks had an affair. Now you guys…if anyone is reading this, do people know about this addition to the FM incestuousness? I know nobody cares about it and as well they shouldn’t! It’s gossip! Lowly tabloid gossip! But somewhere between Henley and Fleetwood it…was. “She got a lot of pretty pretty boys…she calls friends” 🤷🏻‍♀️ that line always made my head tilt like the RCA dog: his masters voice. She also gave me half the royalties for helping her with “Sara” and I have the letter. But she reneged when I got together with Mick. Damn! Ok. I’m gonna hit send.

@@silvermoontearoom7123 oh! do tell!!! Who is it about then? I should have asked Don! I was with Stevie along with her lawyers, Gordon Perry, I can’t remember if the accuser was there but her lawyers were there representing her. Stevie was extremely gracious and said “maybe lightening struck us both at the same time!” Personally I was annoyed because I was there the entire time she worked on the song and I knew how every line of the song was inspired. At 16 minutes long, she asked me to help her edit it down to avoid any confrontation with Lindsey. One it was down to about 6 minutes or so Stevie felt comfortable sharing it with Lindsey. As I said I was pretty annoyed at this song thief and at no time whatsoever did she have anything to do with “Sara” or the creation of it…nor did she get credit for it, writers royalties nor was it stipulated in her favor as some sort of “Settlement”! Stevie is very proud of her songs, and her style is so obviously Stevie, it takes some unmitigated gall of you to offer up anything to the contrary! Especially to ME! Let me break it down further for you just to drive it home for you. The girl claiming she wroth the song…let’s call her 🤔 Carol. Carol sent a sort of similar song to Warner Brothers Records in November on 1978. I sat with Stevie when she received “Carol’s” version and we had a good listen. That’s when Stevie said maybe they both had a similar lightening bolt? Very gracious! Now guess what happened! After more bucks than you can count…remember the guy Gordon Perry I mentioned earlier? Well he had a recording studio in Dallas, Texas! And one day Stevie recorded Stevie’s Demo of Sara at Gordon’s studio “Good Night Dallas” and OH NO! That was six months BEFORE Warner Bros got “Carol’s” “Sara”. SO “Per the Public Settlement Agreement” became “there was no public settlement agreement” she was “💩 outta luck” cuz she ran out of 🍀, there was no money, cuz Stevie never stole anyone’s song or thing, and if “Carol’s baby Sara” needed new shoes, Carol should have just asked her because Stevie would have given her a shoe closet to rival Emelda Marcos’! Complete with platform boots! Moral to the story? Cheaters never prosper, know it all!✌️🕊️🤙
