Unless I missed it, I'm surprised they didn't show the 12th Doctor's screwdriver. I know he used the 11th Doctor's screwdriver for a little, but he eventually got his own blue one that looked really cool, and his sonic sunglasses were great.
@@XL5000boi i have and did. but this video and its title says "sonic screwdriver". now, let's not focus on the "sonic" part because clearly we both know that the sunglass & screwdriver are "sonic" indeed, no questions about that. but then we focus on "screwdriver" part of the english language, which coincidentally, is also what the video and its title is using. clearly a marked difference between the words "sunglasses" and "screwdriver", don't you think? and yes, WE BOTH KNOW that they're sonic.
Kinda a shame that 12 using it to save a young Davros wasn’t included. The way he goes from all cheeky and confident to absolutely horrified when he finds out who the kid is is incredible.
I prefer the Jon Pertwee in green velvet or in the shower or Sylvester McCoy bending over getting into a van or hanging upside down or Patrick Troughton crawling along in slow motion and whatever scenes ngl
15:02 - such basic reasoning to deduce they might be in trouble after letting him know they're there and a fairly simple distraction to take attention away from their actions It's simple, but it's a really nice touch when you understand that it's deception and not just coincidence
"What are you gonna do with that?" "Improvise." So, you mean to say that every time you've used it up until this moment has actually had a plan involved?
At first it was just meant to be a screwdriver that used sonic waves but the doctor eventually decided to use it as a multi purpose tool for various things that sonic waves could do.
Nothing of the 9th Doctor using the sonic. "Rose I'm--I'm trying to resonate concrete." No scenes featuring 12's sonic, or even 12 using 11's. "I am the Doctor! And I name you.....The Boneless!" The iconic clip of the TARDIS ejecting 12's new sonic directly into his hands and he snaps the TARDIS doors shut? 12 using the sonic to blow up every type of Cyberman? C'mon man! -_-
Of ALL the scenes, of this entire series, of the entire franchise. The one I find the the most beautifully sad, of them all... Is when The Doctor, and Riversong, are on the planet of the singing towers, and she-having already known some things, knows thats the prelude to her death. And he too, knows it, before and after. The beautifully sad thing? They know, after the time on the planet of the singing towers, she'll die soon after. But, the beautiful thing? Knowing they got to spend TWENTY FOUR YEARS, together, on that planet before that... Before that happened. Beautiful, and yet, sad at the same time. Isn't it?
Saved the best clips till last in my opinion. River Song's sonic screwdriver is my all-time favourite design, and Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead is a near-perfect story. That first time the Doctor opens the TARDIS doors by snapping his fingers gives me chills to this day.
I just don't know why people were hating on the female doctor. I didn't mind, thought it put a different spin on things. Also didn't see people hating on the 'Master' as Missy.
At about 21:00 is the most beautiful singing in the series. I don't know the singer, but I gather she's a British opera singer. Her voice is like an angel's. It grabs me by the feels, though I don't recognize the music.
I bet 14th doctor will have a books, full audio cast dramas Adventures in near future, right now he having a cannon comic strip adventure in dr who magazine, first cannon comic strip adv
Amazing that Wittaker's doctor has the worst Sonic.. poor Jodie really draw the short stick, worst outfit, worst tardis, worst director, worst stories, worst lines... My god Chibnall really screwed her.
I love Dr. Who, though I can’t get it here. But there’s stuff they get wrong. Like the officer with a flintlock pistol with an open pan (and thus unfireable) at Sevastopol in the Crimea. I get that it’s as safe as you can make that pistol, but the Doctor would know that. Abd that tech was castoffs by the time of the Crimean war
Ranking the sonic screwdrivers 9. 5th 8th. 13th 7th. 2nd 6th. 3rd 5th. 4th 4th. 8th 3rd. 9th/10th 2. 11th Honerable mentions. River song's and the sonic lanse 1. 12th
Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, BBC America isn't showing Doctor Who anymore. In fact, I have a calendar with the Eighth Doctor on it, yet we've (as far, again, as I can tell) never seen the Eighth Doctor here across the pond. (A large source of the Doctor episodes (mostly very old ones) comes from PBS.) It's damned frustrating for a devotee such as myself.
