@@warbossgegguz679Well, his name has actually I'm pretty sure been many things, or no one can actually remember or decide. I remember hearing Max, March, and even hearing that Feels was never his name.
@@dolomite1067The reason we know his name is that is convoluted as fuck, so strap in. So basically, the rabbit character was well liked enough that Sonic team didn't want to scrap him wholesale and started concepting a different unique game for him that would just be called "Feel". His design changed and morphed over time until it barely looked like a rabbit however, so they eventually turned it into something different. ... and that game became RIstar. But old magazine coverage of the OG prototype (per Cutting Room Floor) shows when the game was still called Feel and the main character was named Feel. Now, with the context of Ristar's gameplay in mind, the name Feel, while still weird, makes perfect sense. But since that never happened, his name just sounds like a creepy command... not unlike Cream the Rabbit.
The Rabbit skin is Sonic's original design, before they settled on a hedgehog (because it was a popular pet in Japan at the time). The initial concept was for him to grab enemies with his ears, but was deemed too slow for a fast paced platformer. Curling into a ball was faster. However, the gameplay concept was later reused for 1995's Ristar the Shooting Star, which was also developed by Sonic Team. As far I know the rabbit has no official name given by Sega, but fans either call him "Feels the Rabbit", based on Ristar's prototype name, or "Bam the Rabbit", as in the "BAM!" sound Ristar makes when he tackles his enemies.
The character in the Ristar prototype was named Feel according to coverage it got in EU magazines, so it's a bit less of a stretch on fans' parts (no pun intended).
His name is Feel, and he's a sonic protagonist prototype that later got retooled before he eventually turned into Ristar. Which is probably one of the most "90s SEGA" series of events ever.

I had a realization about the boss fights in this game while watching the video, I have no where else to write it, so I'll write it here. A lot of complaints I've heard is about the gameplay loop of bosses in Superstars, which goes: Wait much longer than usual Classic boss fights -> Hit the boss -> do the long wait over again, and repeat till boss is defeated. The formula changed relative to previous Classic games specifically to accommodate the multiplayer functionality. Imagine the Green Hill Zone boss fight from Sonic 1 where Eggman swings his singular ball around with 2-4 players, and how quickly defeated it would be defeated. This is likely applicable to most Classic boss fights prior to Superstars. To fix this issue, they implemented the above gameplay loop into bosses. You cannot rush down a boss in less than 15 seconds if they're practically invulnerable for 15 seconds, and can only be hit once in its window of vulnerability. - TED Talk.

Most people around town ended choosing The Blue Blur 💙 Loving his direction of not caring about rules and doin what he feels like doin And his looks The second most vote was the sleepy doc So the two ended up becoming Sonic The Hedgehog And Doc Eggman... And soo the rabbit remained untouched after that And after makin a couple good sonic games in the 90s Naoto Ohshima ended up retireing form work And now in 2023 after a LOT of sonic garbage Naoto Ohshima Still alive and well ended up Coming back to work with Sega And Make Sonic Superstar And ended adding the rabbit being a historical character in the making and development of sonic to sonic superstar And thats my friends is Rabbit skin LORE Im M1STQ And goodbye
The "Rabbit Character Skin" is actually Feels the rabbit, the original concept of sonic. Feels was made to swing through levels with his ears, so the acrobat part you were talking about was actually right!
Break into his house with a Peter mask (made out of cardboard, of course) and ask him to play any game you want, then record it, edit it, and upload it to patter's channel

I honestly thought me and my friend were the only people who thought of Golden Corral when we got to Golden Capital so I'm glad to know someone else thought of it too lol
Honestly, my biggest pet peeve with this game is that there are absolutely NO checkpoints for boss fights at all… which means if you die, you have to start the whole fight all over again!!! Anyways, amazing job on the video Peter! 💕
Love the Golden Corral section of this video, it also made me hungry and crave getting sick after going to a Golden Corral irl since, I haven't been there in years, I'm in the mood for Golden Corral for no reason other than this video, haven't craved it until this video.
So SO glad u guys had the same problems my buddy and I did during the last fight. That jankiness legitimately brought down my view of the game, went from like a 6 or 7 down to a 4. Still haven't beaten it yet and we've tried 20x.
My favourite part of the Rabbit Character Skin lore is when they accept Brittany into the family and doesn't take her skin unlike what their parents did when they were 11
