You want compromise? How’s this - 20 years in the can. I wanted to watch The Sopranos in 4K UHD. I compromised. I watched 1080p clips of the sopranos uploaded by Borko instead.
The video goes from dick barone wearing some kind of golf attire laughing talking all happy to dick barone puffing a cigar with Tony and an umbrella talking deep and low 😂
@@ian.piepenbrock Tony made Dick and everyone at his business more money by extortion and price fixing their garbage routes and frightening off potential competition. They were mutually beneficial to each other so they got along.
Garbage is the mafia bread and butter. Also, a lot of the high-ranking guys like Tony and Paulie have a W-2 from sanitation and it’s probably the only reason they can spend as much as they want and not wind up in jail because of the IRS.
Barrone, in his limited appearances, seemed to get who he was dealing with in Tony. He never tried to act like Tony saw him as one of his crew or get sympathy. It was business.
Barone was all business and he had a mutually beneficial business relationship with Tony. Tony respected that and Barone knew well enough to not rock the boat or upset the table, so it worked.
Barrone probably was happy with the money and didn’t get greedy and unlike Tony and his illegal activities, Barrone had a steady income no matter what, garbage disposal will always make money
Tony respected Baron because Baron is a self-made man with the character and chops to lead a successful enterprise Tony himself was reliant on. Tony appreciates Baron's leadership and what he does for the mob, Baron appreciates Tony actually entering a mutually beneficial relationship with him and keeping things civil. His relationship with Baron is basically the closest Tony gets to being able to cordial with someone on "his level" without needing to worry about power games and back-stabbing.
Tony’s value to Barone Sanitation was immense. I mean, he managed to get the office football pool finished and still had time to bend Connie over the desk and shine her box…
There's lot of scene which for some reason aren't picked up by clippers yet I think are either iconic or memorable in some way. I love that scene when the doctor suggests Tony to lose weight, yet its not anywhere on youtube.
Yeah it really doesn't make sense, but I imagine season 3 hadn't been written yet. Tony wouldn't have even humored the idea of him being at that meeting I don't think
paulie crying after hearing jason barone’s mothers love for him is one of my favourite paulie scenes. its such a humanising moment for an otherwise mostly comedic relief character. its hard not to feel moved by it. anyway she shouldve known what his EBIDTA was
I had a girlfriend give me that line 10 years ago. Its lasted one week into our relationship. After that I was filling her shine box constantly. What happened dere??
what ever happened to Ralphie and Danny moving those boxes ?? we never got any character development on that. I always wondered if they did connie also?
Judging by the angle of the sun, you didn't see that cop pass you on the interstate with a flask of vodka in your hand Vito. Apparently he's a Captain now
Remember when you were a kid, at that field box at Shea, opening day? Me, you, your dad and Paulie here? Oh yeah. Kingman was just back from the Cubs. Mookie Wilson hit that foul tip, beaned that guy in the loge.
I really wish the director would have spent more time showing the dog barking in this episode. I feel like they missed a big opportunity to expand on this in later seasons.
I always assumed it was whole sale not direct to customer. So you keep the 10kg of coke in your garbage truck cause cops don't stop a garbage truck then you give it to whoever is picking it up on the route or even dump it in the person's bin and they take it from there's I assumed the money was handled elsewhere. I could be wrong.
@@pinecactus9672 If that's the deal than it's really stupid. I know some people that did some illegal things and they would buy the same type of van that the council uses then put stickers on them identical to the real ones. Nobody bats an eye when a council van is in a strange place doing things and no cops stop it.
@@lt.lasereyez8891 I have no idea what a council is or how that translates to murica structure. If it's a city owned truck then it might be the same type of thing as garbage trucks are seen usually as city related.
@@pinecactus9672 just your city/town workers that do the inspections of business and perhaps maintain the public grounds, you the local lazy gov workers
I wonder what Tony would have done if Kid Barrone went to him and told him Pauly attacked him and wants 48 K a year. Tony was already pretty sick of Pauly and it was disrespectful to go against Tonys word he gave to the Mother, Tony and Dick seemed to have a good relationship. Would Pauly really have chased him down to the West Coast if the son called Tony from 1000 miles away?
Nope this was a very big and dangerous move from Paully and could have really screwed things up for Tony. Tony got his legal income and health insurance and such from it and Paul knew it. This wasn't like boosting a truck and not kicking upstairs, this was betrayal to Tony.
@@lt.lasereyez8891 exactly it was very risky by Pauly. Like you said the legal income and also Paulie def never kicked any of the 4k up to Tony either. 4K a month is a lot of money over time
Barone, in his limited appearances, seemed to get who he was dealing with in Tony. He never tried to act like Tony saw him as one of his crew or get sympathy. It was business.
Connie was my favorite character in the show, the way she was hinted at being the true villain and was eventually defeated with gabagool was brilliant, bravo Chase.
I didn't have to rewatch Borkos video,I knew which song you refer to. I'm a 50s60s music buff including quite a few in these episodes. The Elegants-Little Star
David Catch actually was in the talks of a side show called “Barone Sanitation” and it was going to be based on Dick Barone. Kinda like a Call Saul for Sopranos.
Back then when Mercedes weren't cheap plastic unreliable garbage with unnecessary technology in the car like light up interiors or any of that computer controlled cheaply made features.
